The Helfryn Leather Armor set is one of the sneakiest collections in Crimson Desert. Every piece is hidden inside the City of Demeniss behind trick walls, breakable barriers, and hard-to-spot windows — and none of them show up on your map. The full set gives Kliff a distinct cowboy look, and the individual pieces carry solid defensive stats, elemental resistances, and useful Abyss Gear bonuses.
Quick answer: The set consists of five pieces — Helfryn Leather Armor, Helfryn Leather Cloak, Helfryn Leather Gloves, Helfryn Leather Boots, and the Black Sun shield — all found in hidden treasure chests scattered across Demeniss City. No story progression is required, but entering Demeniss early means guards will attack you on sight, and you won't be able to use skills like Force Palm inside the city, making some pieces impossible to grab until later.

Helfryn Leather Armor — Bell Tower, south district
Step 1: Head to the south district of Demeniss City and locate the Bell Tower. It's the tallest structure in the area, so it's hard to miss.

Step 2: Face the front of the Bell Tower, then move to the left side so you're looking at the east-facing wall. Climb up toward the top, stopping just below the upper platform where two pillars sit side by side.
Step 3: Walk forward between the two pillars. This pushes open a hidden wall, revealing a small chamber with a treasure chest inside. Open it to collect the Helfryn Leather Armor.

Helfryn Leather Cloak — Attic window, north district
Step 1: Travel to the far northern part of Demeniss City. Look for a building with a visible attic window — it's near the vine-covered tower you'll visit for the gloves.
Step 2: Climb up to the attic window and open it. Drop inside the attic to find a treasure chest containing the Helfryn Leather Cloak.

This is the simplest piece to grab because it doesn't require any special abilities. If you're trying to collect gear early while dodging hostile guards, prioritize this one.
Helfryn Leather Gloves — Vine-covered tower, northeast
Step 1: From the building where you found the cloak, look for a nearby white tower covered in vines on the northeastern side of the city. The trick wall is located near the top of this tower, on the vine-covered face.

Step 2: Climb the tower and position yourself to the right of the trick wall. Use Axiom Force (L2) to stick to the wall surface.
Step 3: While clinging, activate Force Palm (R3). The wall panel will rotate inward, swinging you into a hidden chamber. A treasure chest inside holds the Helfryn Leather Gloves.

If you look carefully at the wall before climbing, you can spot a subtle seam that distinguishes the trick panel from the surrounding stone.
Helfryn Leather Boots — Broken wall near the south gate
Step 1: Go to the main entrance gate on the south side of Demeniss City and step outside.

Step 2: Turn right and look along the eastern stretch of the outer castle wall. You'll spot a hole patched up with wooden boards.
Step 3: Attack the wooden boards to break them, then crouch to squeeze through the opening. Follow the short passage to find a treasure chest at the end with the Helfryn Leather Boots inside.

Black Sun shield — Below the bridge near the Abyss Nexus
Step 1: Inside Demeniss City, make your way to the Abyss Nexus area. Look for the bridge nearby and drop down to the section beneath it.

Step 2: Along the wall below the bridge, there's another trick door identical to the one at the vine tower. Use Axiom Force (L2) to cling to the wall.
Step 3: Trigger Force Palm (R3) to rotate the hidden panel. Step into the revealed chamber and open the chest to claim the Black Sun shield.

Bonus cowboy piece — Deceiver's Fedora
The Deceiver's Fedora isn't technically part of the Helfryn set, but it rounds out the cowboy aesthetic nicely. It provides 2 Defense and a special effect called Gambler's Sight, which reveals other players' cards in the Duo minigame.
To get it, you need to visit Seratien's Mineral Shop at the Bonepit in Tashkalp. Clear out the enemies at the Bonepit first, then gift Coin Purses to the shop owner until his Trust reaches 100. Once that threshold is hit, the Deceiver's Fedora appears in his buy inventory.
Collecting the full Helfryn Leather Armor set is entirely possible without finishing the main story, but doing it early is significantly harder because of Demeniss City's hostile guards and skill restrictions. The safest approach is to progress the story until the city becomes accessible without combat, then sweep through all five locations in a single trip. The Bell Tower, vine tower, attic building, south gate wall, and bridge underpass are all relatively close together, so a focused run through the city shouldn't take more than fifteen minutes once you know where to look.
