Bizarre Lineage, the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure–inspired Roblox action RPG, assigns a random Personality to every Stand you roll. These Personalities act as passive buffs that stick with your Stand permanently — unless you reroll them. With over 25 Personalities spread across five rarity tiers, knowing which ones to keep and which to ditch can save you a lot of wasted Prestige Shards or Robux.
Quick answer: Elegant (Mythical) and Transcendent (Mythical) are the two strongest Stand Personalities. Elegant cuts Stand cooldowns by 10% and scales damage with movement speed, while Transcendent gives a flat +7% to Damage, Power Regeneration, and Global Defense.

All Stand Personalities and Their Passive Bonuses
Every Personality belongs to one of five rarity tiers: Mythical, Legendary, Rare, Uncommon, and Common. Higher-rarity Personalities are harder to roll but generally offer more impactful effects. The full list is below.

Best Stand Personalities to Keep
Elegant is the single strongest Personality in the game. A blanket 10% cooldown reduction on all Stand abilities translates into a massive DPS increase over the course of any fight, since you cycle through your kit faster. The speed burst on hit, and movement-speed damage scaling push it even further ahead for aggressive playstyles. If you roll Elegant, lock it in immediately.
Transcendent is the safest Mythical pick. The +7% bonus to Damage, Power Regeneration, and Global Defense covers every aspect of your build without asking you to sacrifice anything. It works on every Stand and in every game mode, making it the ideal "I don't know what I want to play yet" Personality.
Feral looks appealing on paper — +10% Damage is the highest flat damage bonus among Mythicals — but the −10% Defense penalty is steep. You'd need something closer to a 30–40% damage increase to justify that kind of survivability loss, especially in PvP where burst damage already punishes low-defense builds.
The Legendary tier is surprisingly competitive. Nearly every Legendary Personality offers a focused, high-impact bonus that can outperform Mythicals when paired with the right Stand or playstyle. Suffocating is excellent on DoT-heavy Stands like Whitesnake. Rhythmic (+35% Power Regeneration) lets ability-spamming Stands like Weather Report cycle moves relentlessly. Methodical rewards precise blocking with both Power and speed, making it ideal for defensive fighters. Dominant gives a whopping 25% damage bonus against opponents who haven't landed a hit on you — devastating for opening engagements in PvP. If you roll any Legendary, it's worth keeping.

Personalities to Avoid
Common Personalities are functional but underwhelming. Bonuses like +5% Health Regeneration (Happy) or +5% damage at full HP (Arrogant) are barely noticeable in practice. They won't ruin a build, but they won't elevate one either. If you're sitting on a Common Personality and have access to a Stand Personality Essence, rerolling is almost always worth it.
Uncommon Personalities fall into a similar camp. Curious (+20% Evasive gain) and Astute (+10% chip damage on blocked attacks) are niche enough that they rarely outperform even a middling Rare roll. The exception might be Predictive (+10% Counter skill damage) if you're running a Stand with strong counter abilities, but that's a narrow use case.
Among Rare Personalities, Durable stands out as a strong defensive option — making status effect damage 100% less potent, essentially neutralizes DoT-based opponents. Compassionate (+25% healing output) is solid on Golden Experience or any build that leans on sustain. The rest are situational but respectable.
How to Reroll Stand Personalities
If your current Personality isn't cutting it, you can change it with a Stand Personality Essence. This consumable item rerolls the Personality on whichever Stand you currently have equipped, so double-check that the right Stand is active before you use it.
Stand Personality Essences can be purchased from the Prestige Shop using Prestige Shards or from the main Shop using Robux. There's no way to target a specific Personality — the reroll is random, just like the initial assignment when you first roll a Stand with a Stand Arrow.

How Personality Fits Into Your Build
Personality is one of four stats visible on the Stand Stats screen, alongside Strength, Speed, and Speciality. While those three stats can be rerolled together using a Stand Stat Essence, Personality requires its own separate Essence. This means optimizing your Stand is a two-step process: get the right Personality first, then fine-tune your stat grades.
The Personality stat feeds directly into your passive playstyle. A cooldown-focused Personality like Elegant pairs naturally with a high Speed stat grade (which also reduces cooldowns), creating a compounding effect. Similarly, Suffocating becomes more valuable when your Stand already has strong DoT abilities, and you've invested in Speciality to boost their damage.
Choosing the right Personality early saves resources in the long run. Rerolling is expensive whether you're spending Prestige Shards or Robux, so if you land an Elegant, Transcendent, or any Legendary Personality on a Stand you plan to main, stop rolling and start building around it.
