Every Way to Get Amber Vessel Fragments in Jujutsu Zero

The Amber Vessel Fragment is one of the rarest materials in Jujutsu Zero, and you need three of them — along with one Domain Fragment — to unlock the Domain Expansion for the Beast Amber Cursed Technique. Farming them takes patience, but there are multiple paths to get there.

Quick answer: You can obtain Amber Vessel Fragments from Vessel Crates, Calamity Crates, as a direct drop from the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss, or by purchasing one from the Token NPC for 4,000 Vessel Tokens.

Amber Vessel Fragment Sources

MethodDetails
Vessel CrateRandom drop when opened
Calamity CrateRandom drop when opened
Lightning Vessel Mini-BossChance drop per kill; also drops Vessel Tokens and Vessel Crates
Token NPCCosts 4,000 Vessel Tokens per fragment

Each of these methods has trade-offs. Crate drops are entirely luck-based, while the Token NPC route is guaranteed but demands heavy grinding of Vessel Tokens. The Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss combines both approaches, since killing it rewards Vessel Tokens and gives a chance at a direct Amber Vessel Fragment drop.

Farming the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss

The Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss is the most efficient single source for Amber Vessel Fragments because every kill feeds two paths at once. Each kill guarantees 350 Vessel Tokens, and you also have a chance to receive an Amber Vessel Fragment or a Vessel Crate as bonus loot.

The boss has 150 HP but applies heavy damage reduction, so you cannot one-shot it regardless of your level. At around level 1,300 with strong Cursed Techniques and a Sorcery Heavenly Restriction active, expect a solo kill to take roughly one to two minutes. Using a Domain Expansion like Malevolent Shrine speeds things up noticeably.

Loot is distributed to every player who damages the boss before it dies. If you coordinate with other players and ensure everyone lands at least one hit, the entire group receives rewards. This shared-loot system makes the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss far more cooperative than some of the game's other mini-bosses.

Buying Amber Vessel Fragments with Vessel Tokens

The Token NPC spawns behind the Raid TP NPC and sells one Amber Vessel Fragment for 4,000 Vessel Tokens. Since each Lightning Vessel kill nets 350 tokens, you need approximately 11 to 12 kills to afford a single fragment through this method alone. That works out to roughly 2.5 to 3 hours of dedicated mini-boss farming per fragment.

The Token NPC also sells other items worth considering while you grind:

ItemCost (Vessel Tokens)
500 Lumens350
5,000 Lumens3,500
3 Vessel Crates900
1 Amber Vessel Fragment4,000
1 Cursed Flesh5,000

Spending 900 tokens on three Vessel Crates is tempting since those crates can also contain Amber Vessel Fragments. However, the drop rate from crates is not guaranteed, so if you want a reliable path, saving up to 4,000 tokens for the direct purchase is the safer bet.

Getting Amber Vessel Fragments from Crates

Both Vessel Crates and Calamity Crates can contain Amber Vessel Fragments, though the drop chance is low. Vessel Crates come from the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss (as a chance drop) and from the Token NPC. Calamity Crates drop from the Calamity difficulty of raids — specifically, the hardest tier of the Jogo Raid is one of the more accessible ways to farm them if you are high enough level.

Because crate drops are random, relying solely on crates is not practical if you need all three fragments quickly. Treat crate drops as a bonus while you focus on accumulating Vessel Tokens through mini-boss kills.

What Amber Vessel Fragments unlock

You need 3 Amber Vessel Fragments and 1 Domain Fragment to unlock Beast Amber's Domain Expansion. The Domain Expansion functions as a powerful buff that applies not only to Beast Amber but also benefits other Cursed Techniques you have equipped. Domain Fragments themselves are a separate grind — they drop from various crates (Grade 1 Crates have the highest chance at 2.6%) and can also be obtained from the Infinity Exchanger NPC.

Note that only three Cursed Techniques currently have Domain Expansions in Jujutsu Zero: Limitless, Shrine, and Beast Amber. If you are running Beast Amber, the Amber Vessel Fragment grind is unavoidable.

Step 1: Head to the Lightning Vessel Mini-Boss spawn location and begin farming kills. Each kill gives you 350 Vessel Tokens guaranteed, plus a chance at a direct Amber Vessel Fragment drop or a Vessel Crate.

Step 2: After each kill, check whether you received an Amber Vessel Fragment as a direct drop. If so, that is one fewer fragment you need to buy.

Step 3: Once you hit 4,000 Vessel Tokens, visit the Token NPC behind the Raid TP NPC and purchase an Amber Vessel Fragment. Repeat until you have all three.

Step 4: Open any Vessel Crates you picked up along the way. These have a chance of containing additional fragments, potentially saving you a purchase.

If you can group up with other players, the shared-loot mechanic means everyone benefits from each kill. Coordinating a small group to rotate hits on the mini-boss is the fastest way to accumulate tokens and maximize your chances at direct drops.

Collecting three Amber Vessel Fragments is a significant time investment — expect somewhere around 8 to 10 hours of mini-boss farming if you rely entirely on the Token NPC with no lucky drops. The grind is real, but Beast Amber's Domain Expansion and its cross-technique buff make it one of the more rewarding unlocks in Jujutsu Zero right now.
