The Festive Relic is a limited-time item tied to the Fischmas event in Fisch. It’s used to enchant fishing rods with event-themed traits, including mutation chances and stat boosts like progress speed, lure speed, luck, and fish size.
Festive Relic availability and where it lives in the world
You can only get the Festive Relic in the winter village region during Fischmas. The main travel route starts at Moosewood, where you use the Magical train to reach Northstar Station.
Method 1: Buy the Festive Relic from Glacial Ridge igloos (2500 Bells)
This is the most direct path if you have enough Bells. The Festive Relic costs 2500 Bells and is sold inside a specific igloo on Glacial Ridge.
Step 1: Go to Moosewood and interact with the Magical train to travel to Northstar Station.
Step 2: From Northstar Station, head off the first island to reach Glacial Ridge.
Step 3: Find the igloo that contains the Festive Relic. Common landmarks for the correct igloo include a central climb up a ladder and an igloo near a snowman (often described as near a tree), or the third igloo by a zipline.
Step 4: Enter the igloo and purchase the Festive Relic for 2500 Bells.
Method 2: Fish for the Festive Relic near Northstar Castle
The Festive Relic can also be obtained as a catch while fishing in the waters around Northstar Castle, where it appears as part of the Fischmas 2 bestiary.
Step 1: Travel to the winter village region via the Magical train from Moosewood and reach the waters around Northstar Castle.
Step 2: Fish repeatedly in that area to roll a chance at pulling the Festive Relic.
Step 3: If you’re optimizing for attempts, prioritize rods that either grant bonus fish after a set number of catches (for example, Great Dreamer Rod) or improve lure/progress speed (for example, Eidolon Rod or Wind Elemental Rod).
Step 4: If possible, fish during clear weather in the Winter season for better odds.
Method 3: Quest reward (Snowball Sam)
If you want a guaranteed relic via questing, Snowball Sam offers one as a reward.
Step 1: Find Sam stuck under snow near the Christmas Tree in the winter village region.
Step 2: Collect 15 Snowballs.
Step 3: Turn in the 15 Snowballs to complete the quest and receive 1x Festive Relic.
What the Festive Relic does (rod enchantments and effects)
Using the Festive Relic enchants your rod with Fischmas-themed effects. It can roll three possible enchantments, split between primary and secondary types.
