Fortnite Kenny quests: Every “Mph Mmmph Mhh Mmph” challenge decoded

Kenny’s segment of the Born in Chaos South Park quests in Fortnite hides six objectives behind his familiar muffled speech. You only need four of them for a Memberberry and Cred, but all six are straightforward once translated.

Each Kenny quest grants 400 Cred and can be done in standard Battle Royale or Zero Build (unranked). Several of them track progress across multiple matches, so you don’t have to force everything in a single game.

You can pick whichever four objectives fit your playstyle. The Battlewood visit, airborne distance, and hiring a specialist are usually the quickest, with headshots close behind if you’re comfortable fighting.

Battlewood Boulevard pylon (Mph mpphmmph)

This is the simplest of the six quests. Kenny’s “angel” line points you to a single structure in Battlewood Boulevard.

What to do: Go to the metal pylon with a zipline at the north end of Battlewood Boulevard. On the map, it sits around the second “o” in “Battlewood,” near the overpass. Walking up to the base is enough for completion; you don’t need to ride the zipline or interact with anything.

Tip: If you are queueing with friends, this tower is also a good spot to start working on the “revived three times” quest. Jumping off the structure will down you instantly, letting your teammate pick you up.

Kenny’s Respawn Token death (Mmmmpmpph mmhhmph)

This quest is themed directly around Kenny’s new item, Kenny’s Respawn Token. The game wants you to experience its effect once.

What to do: Get eliminated while you have Kenny’s Respawn Token in your possession so that it automatically revives you.

Kenny’s Respawn Token behaves like this:

  • It is added to the unranked loot pool and can drop from loot chests, especially higher-tier (blue) chests.
  • It can also appear in Care Crates during the Care Packages Rift Anomaly.
  • It does not use an inventory slot; picking it up silently “equips” it.
  • When you die, a portal animation pulls you up, then drops you back into the sky to glide down, but all your previous loot is gone.

Once you have the token, you can let another player finish you or simply fall from a high place. As long as the token triggers and brings you back, the quest completes, and you gain 400 Cred.

Note: This is different from being revived by a teammate or rebooted at a van. Only the automatic Kenny’s Respawn Token animation counts here.

Get revived by a teammate three times (Mph mpmphh mmmph)

Here the focus is on traditional revives, not Kenny’s token and not reboot vans.

What to do: While playing in Duos, Trios, or Squads, go down and have a teammate revive you from the downed state three separate times. The counter is cumulative across matches.

Only these revives count:

  • Being knocked and picked up by a squadmate using the standard revive interaction.
  • It can be the same teammate each time or different ones.

The following do not count:

  • Getting fully eliminated and then rebooted at a Reboot Van.
  • Being brought back by Kenny’s Respawn Token.

Fast method with friends:

Step 1: Drop somewhere with height, such as the Battlewood pylon or a tall building. Make sure you are in a team mode.

Step 2: Jump from the high point to take enough fall damage to be knocked, but not instantly eliminated. Let a teammate revive you.

Step 3: Repeat the fall and revive two more times. You can split this across multiple matches if needed.

Inactive or “fill” teammates in public lobbies may make this slower, which is why coordinated squads or playing with friends is usually more efficient.

Land 10 headshots (Mphmmph mhhmmph)

Kenny’s “ninja star” line is simply tracking precision, not any specific South Park item.

What to do: Hit enemy players in the head 10 times. The game counts hits, not eliminations, and progress carries over between matches.

Some practical notes:

  • Any weapon that can headshot works, including pistols, ARs, SMGs, and snipers.
  • Hitting the same opponent multiple times in the head across a fight will progress the quest faster.
  • Boss characters are valid targets, and their predictable movement often makes them easier to farm headshots on than human players.
Tip: Rapid-fire weapons like SMGs or fast ARs make this much easier. Once shields are cracked, aim for the head and spray; several headshots can land in a single burst.

Travel 200 meters while airborne (Mmmh mpphh mmmph)

The “he can fly” line covers general airtime. The game tracks distance moved while you’re off the ground and adds it up over time.

What counts as airborne distance:

  • Falling from any height, including natural terrain and structures.
  • Using the Wingsuit.
  • Jumping off launch pads or other mobility items that throw you upward.
  • Gliding from hot air balloons.
  • Simple jumping while sprinting; short hops add up over a match.

Easy completion methods:

Step 1: Land near one of the roaming hot air balloons and ride it around the map. Staying on it as it moves will quickly accumulate airborne distance.

Step 2: If balloons are contested, chain movement tools like jump pads, crash pads, or repeated jumps while running. You do not need to stay airborne for 200 meters in one go.

Because normal movement and engagements produce lots of small jumps and falls, this quest often finishes naturally after a few matches, even without focusing on it.

Hire a specialist NPC (Mph mpph mhppmmph)

The “followers” line points to Fortnite’s hireable specialists: NPCs that fight alongside you once you pay them in gold bars.

What to do: Find any specialist NPC and spend 600 gold bars to hire them.

Specialists are spread across the Chapter 7 map. Examples include:

  • Carter Wu at Latte Landing.
  • Kingston at Bumpy Bay.
  • Carina near Lethal Labs.
  • Cat Holloway at Humble Hills.
  • Other named specialists in key POIs.

Gold bars come from chests, safes, cash registers, eliminating other players, completing Job Board quests, and the Gold Rush Rift Anomaly. Once you have at least 600, speak to the NPC and choose the hire option. As soon as the specialist joins your squad, the quest completes, and you receive 400 Cred.

How Kenny’s quests tie into Kenny’s Respawn Token

Two of Kenny’s objectives exist mainly to push you toward his new item and the core South Park mechanics.

  • The “In Loving Memory, Kenny McCormick” quest is a direct showcase of Kenny’s Respawn Token. You are meant to see the portal animation, understand that the token takes no inventory slot, and realize you respawn empty-handed.
  • The “I really, really can't die” quest reinforces the difference between Kenny’s automatic respawn and traditional teammate revives, which still matter for Cred progression.

Because you only need four of the six challenges to unlock the Memberberry in Part Five of the Born in Chaos pass, you can decide how much you want to engage with Kenny’s item itself versus the more basic movement and combat tasks. For many players, the fastest route is to:

  • Visit the Battlewood Boulevard pylon.
  • Hire a specialist NPC.
  • Finish the 200 meters airborne requirement.
  • Clean up 10 headshots through normal play.

Anyone who wants the full Cred payout can add the respawn and team revive quests on top of those. Either way, once you know what Kenny is mumbling about, his challenges are closer to a victory lap than a riddle.
