Genshin Impact Version Luna IV Phase 2 Banners and Events Start February 3

Version Luna IV (6.3) of Genshin Impact splits its content across two phases, with the second phase beginning on February 3, 2026. This half introduces the new 5-star Geo Sword character Zibai, the 4-star Geo Polearm character Illuga, and a rerun banner for Neuvillette. The timing coincides with the ongoing 2026 Lantern Rite event, which started on January 30 and runs through February 23.

Quick answer: Phase 2 of Genshin Impact Version Luna IV begins February 3, 2026, featuring Zibai and Illuga on the Harmonious Abundance banner, plus Neuvillette and Illuga on the Decree of the Deeps rerun banner.

Phase 2 Character Banners

The second phase features two concurrent Event Wish banners. Harmonious Abundance showcases Zibai, the White Horse Adeptus from Liyue lore, as the featured 5-star alongside the new 4-star Illuga. Decree of the Deeps brings back Neuvillette, the Hydro Dragon Sovereign from Fontaine, with Illuga also appearing as a rate-up 4-star on this banner.

Zibai wields a Geo Sword and specializes in Lunar-Crystallize reactions, a new elemental mechanic introduced in this version. By entering a special combat state and accumulating unique energy, Zibai unleashes powerful Elemental Skill attacks that deal Lunar-Crystallize damage. The more Lunar-Crystallize reactions triggered, the higher the frequency and damage output of these attacks.

Illuga fights with a polearm and battles alongside a messenger bird. As a Geo Lightkeeper from Nod-Krai, Illuga appears on both Phase 2 banners, giving players multiple opportunities to obtain this 4-star character.

Neuvillette's rerun banner also coincides with a new outfit available in the shop at a limited-time discounted price.

Phase 2 Event Schedule

Several events either begin or continue during the second phase of Version Luna IV:

Event Dates
A Lanternlit Ode to the Silver Moon (Lantern Rite 2026) January 30 – February 23
Moonlit Patrol Exercise February 9 – February 23
Ley Line Overflow February 16 – February 23
Stygian Onslaught January 21 – February 24

The Lantern Rite event, titled "A Lanternlit Ode to the Silver Moon," serves as the main celebration for the update. Players return to Liyue Harbor to participate in festive activities, place Xiao Lanterns throughout the city, and collect Fortune Coins from Auspicious Treasure Trees. The event rewards include a free outfit for Yaoyao and the ability to invite one 4-star Liyue character at no cost.

The Lantern Rite unfolds in three parts. The first segment begins January 30, the second on February 1, and the third on February 3. Players pulling for Columbina in Phase 1 can complete all three Lantern Rite segments before her banner ends, though the timing is tight for the final part.

Primogem and Reward Distribution

Version Luna IV delivers 20 free pulls worth of rewards through login events and mail. The 10 Intertwined Fates from the May Fortune Find You login event are available during Phase 1, which runs from January 16 through February 3. The 1,600 Primogems delivered via in-game mail begin distribution on January 30 and continue through the end of the patch.

This timing means players have approximately five days of Primogem mail claiming before Phase 2 begins on February 3. The distribution is spaced out across multiple days rather than delivered all at once, but the bulk of these rewards become available during Columbina's banner window in Phase 1.

Additional rewards from the Lantern Rite event, including the free Yaoyao outfit and 4-star Liyue character selection, require participating in the event activities throughout its duration.

Spiral Abyss Phase 2 Update

The Spiral Abyss receives its Phase 2 refresh on February 16, partway through the second banner phase. This update changes the monster lineup on Floors 11 and 12. The Phase 1 Spiral Abyss, which launched January 16, featured Ley Line Disorders granting 60% Electro and Hydro DMG Bonuses on Floor 11, with Floor 12 boosting Charged Attack DMG by 75% in the first half and Lunar Reaction DMG by 75% in the second half.

Recurring Content During Phase 2

The To Temper Thyself and Journey Far event continues through February 23, allowing players to complete daily and weekly training goals for various rewards. Completing enough objectives grants a free 5-star constellation from a selection pool of characters.

Stygian Onslaught, the recurring boss rush mode, runs through February 24. Players face three field bosses across different difficulty levels, with both solo and Co-Op options available.

The Battle Pass for Version Luna IV, titled "Lanternlit Ode," remains active through February 23. Players who reach Gnostic Hymn Level 30 receive a 4-star weapon of their choice as a BP Bounty.

Phase 2 of Version Luna IV marks the conclusion of the Song of the Welkin Moon storyline in Nod-Krai, with Archon Quest Acts 7 and 8 available during this version. The narrative reaches its climax with a confrontation against Il Dottore, and completing the Archon Quest unlocks a new outfit for the Traveler. For players focused on pulling characters, the Phase 2 banners offer strong options in Zibai for Lunar-Crystallize teams and Neuvillette for Hydro-focused compositions.
