Get Fortnite's Grace Ashcroft Skin for Free With a Resident Evil Requiem Pre-Purchase

Epic Games and Capcom are running a promotion that gives Fortnite players the Grace Ashcroft Outfit — the protagonist of Resident Evil Requiem — at no extra cost. The catch is that you need to pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem through the Epic Games Store before the game launches on February 27, 2026.

Quick answer: Pre-purchase Resident Evil Requiem on the Epic Games Store before February 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET, and the Grace Ashcroft Outfit plus additional Fortnite items will be added to your account.

How to claim the Grace Ashcroft Outfit in Fortnite

Step 1: Open the Epic Games Store and find the Resident Evil Requiem listing. Make sure you're logged into the same Epic Games account you use to play Fortnite — if the accounts don't match, the cosmetic won't appear in your Fortnite locker.

Step 2: Complete the pre-purchase. Any edition of Resident Evil Requiem bought through the Epic Games Store qualifies, as long as the transaction goes through before February 27, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET.

Step 3: Wait for delivery. The Grace Ashcroft Outfit and its accompanying items are expected to arrive in Fortnite in March 2026, shortly after Resident Evil Requiem's launch. Once delivered, the skin will show up in your in-game locker automatically.

What's included beyond the skin

Epic has confirmed that the Grace Ashcroft bundle includes the Outfit itself along with additional Fortnite items. The full contents of those extra cosmetics haven't been revealed yet, but the collaboration between Epic and Capcom could bring franchise-themed Back Blings, Pickaxes, or Emotes to the Item Shop separately.

Important restrictions and platform limits

This offer is exclusive to the Epic Games Store. Buying Resident Evil Requiem on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, or any other PC storefront will not grant the Fortnite cosmetics. The game itself launches across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 27, but only the EGS version carries the Fortnite bonus.

There's also a hard deadline. Pre-purchases made after 11:59 PM ET on February 27 won't qualify, so you need to complete the transaction before that cutoff — not just on launch day, but before midnight Eastern on that date.

Part of a bigger Epic Games Store push

The Grace Ashcroft promotion is the first visible result of a broader program Epic announced in early 2026. The company plans to bundle free Fortnite cosmetics with up to 40 third-party games sold on its store this year, with the goal of scaling to around 100 titles annually. Partners already confirmed for the initiative include Capcom, miHoYo, MintRocket (the studio behind Dave the Diver), Pearl Abyss (Crimson Desert), S-Game, and Kakao Games.

Epic has experimented with this approach before — a Borderlands 3 purchase on EGS in 2020 came with a Psycho Bandit skin, and pre-ordering Alan Wake 2 unlocked an Alan Wake Outfit in Fortnite. The difference now is scale. EGS vice president Steve Allison has said new bundles will be announced on a rolling monthly basis throughout the year.

Even if you don't play Fortnite, these pre-order bonuses won't go entirely to waste. Epic is introducing customizable avatars for the Epic Games Store launcher, and the cosmetics earned through game purchases will be usable on those avatars as well. The updated launcher is expected to roll out around May or June 2026.

If you're planning to pick up Resident Evil Requiem on PC anyway, grabbing it through the Epic Games Store before launch is the simplest way to add Grace Ashcroft to your Fortnite collection without spending anything extra. Just double-check that your Epic account is the one tied to your Fortnite profile, and keep an eye on your locker in March for the items to appear.
