The Cosmic Relic is a rare item in Fisch used to add a secondary enchant to fishing rods. You can obtain it from Fallen Stars during Starfall, by fishing with the Rod of the Cosmos, or during specific admin events. For item details and official descriptions, see the Cosmic Relic page.

Method Where it works Drop chance Notes
Fallen Stars (Starfall) Loot craters that spawn during Starfall. 4.76% per Fallen Star. Search multiple craters to compound your odds.
Rod of the Cosmos (normal) Fishing in any body of water. 0.1% (1 in 1000). Passive approach when Starfall isn’t active.
Rod of the Cosmos (Starfall) Fishing in any body of water during Starfall. 2% (1 in 50). Significantly better than normal conditions.
Admin events Any body of water when Cosmic Relic events are active. Very low, fixed chance. Includes “Cosmic Relics” and “Lucky Cosmic Relics” events.

Get Cosmic Relic from Fallen Stars (Starfall)

During the Starfall weather event, Fallen Star craters appear across the map and can contain a Cosmic Relic. This route gives the highest per-check chance and scales well as you clear multiple craters while Starfall is active.

Step 1: Trigger or wait for Starfall. You can use Sundials to try to force Starfall, but the proc rate is low, so expect multiple uses before it starts.

Step 2: Move between islands and scan for Fallen Star craters. Prioritize a route that lets you check many craters quickly to increase total rolls at the 4.76% chance.

Step 3: Interact with the crater to collect loot. When a Cosmic Relic is available, press E to pick it up.

Step 4: Continue rotating through craters while Starfall persists. The more craters you check in a single event, the better your odds of finding at least one relic.

Catch Cosmic Relic with Rod of the Cosmos

You can fish up a Cosmic Relic anywhere with the Rod of the Cosmos. The base chance is low, but Starfall provides a major boost.

Step 1: Equip the Rod of the Cosmos. Head to any body of water; location does not affect the drop chance for the relic.

Step 2: Fish under normal conditions for a passive 0.1% chance per catch. This is a long-haul method that works when no events are active.

Step 3: Fish during Starfall to raise the chance to 2%. If you’re online when Starfall begins, swap to this method immediately for faster results.

Step 4: Set a target number of casts to track progress. For example, at 2% you expect roughly one relic per 50 successful catches on average.

Catch Cosmic Relic during admin events

Admin-run events temporarily allow relic catches at a fixed, very low chance in any water. A “Lucky” variant exists that raises the odds compared to the regular event.

Step 1: Watch for “Cosmic Relics” and “Lucky Cosmic Relics” admin events. The Lucky Cosmic Relic event runs every Saturday at 9:00 PM PT and typically lasts around three minutes.

Step 2: When the event starts, fish continuously in any nearby water. The chance is small, so maximize the number of catches within the short window.

Step 3: Repeat on subsequent occurrences. The Lucky variant substantially improves your odds relative to normal uptime, so it’s worth scheduling around.

Use the Cosmic Relic for secondary enchants

Cosmic Relics apply a secondary enchant to a fishing rod, expanding build options and improving performance. With their rarity, plan which rod should receive the upgrade before you commit.

Step 1: Decide which rod benefits most from a secondary enchant. Consider the rod you use most for your target biome or event, so the upgrade sees frequent use.

Step 2: Go to the Statue of Sovereignty Enchant Altar at night. The altar interface is available during nighttime to perform the secondary enchant workflow.

Step 3: Hold the rod you want to upgrade. Keep at least one Cosmic Relic in your inventory so it appears as a valid input for the secondary enchant.

Step 4: Apply the secondary enchant. Confirm the selection to finalize the upgrade, as relics are scarce and misclicks can set you back.

If you want faster progression, prioritize Starfall sessions: crater checks and the 2% fishing boost both outperform normal uptime. Save your first relic for a rod you use daily—the return on that choice adds up immediately.
