What the Spider Lily Armor does

The Spider Lily Armor is a mythic set centered on stagger. It adds a chance for enemies to drop throwable weapons, increases stagger damage from your melee attacks, and can ripple stagger damage to nearby foes when you break an opponent’s guard. It also carries a +45 Onryo stat bonus.

Where to start “The Spider Lily General”

Head to the Tokachi Range and enter the Mysterious Gate south of Shizunai Woods (east of Yamane Bluffs). You’ll meet Ugetsu and then step through to a haunted plateau that funnels you to a locked gate sealed with four large locks. Your task is to find four keys scattered around the Abandoned Tominaga Estate.

Find the four keys and open the gate

Each key sits in a distinct sub‑area around the estate. Use the directions below from the locked gate as your reference point.

Key Area Directions and notes
1 Pagoda From the gate, turn right to the large pagoda. The key is in a wooden box behind it. Tip: you can climb the pagoda for an optional hat.
2 Graveyard (west) Continue past the pagoda to the western edge. Clear the enemies. The key sits at the far end before a dirt pile with a shovel.
3 Bamboo maze (northeast) Return to the gate, then take the path left and push toward the northeast corner to a bamboo path. See the maze solution below.
4 Cave (east) From the gate, take the left path and curve to the eastern edge. Follow the linear cave to wall paintings; the key is on the ground before the slide out.

Bamboo maze solution (Key 3)

Enter the bamboo forest until you reach a Bamboo Strike with several branching paths. The correct route changes, but the game always marks it with red spider lily flowers. Follow the path with red flowers; you’ll loop back to the Bamboo Strike and a new branch will sprout red lilies. Do this three times. Then interact with the Bamboo Strike to receive the key.

Tip: once you have the key, you can walk out or fast travel away—no need to backtrack through the maze.

Investigate the estate and trigger the duel

With all four keys, return to the gate and unlock it. Push straight ahead into the main house and examine the bloody mat. Back out and take the left door into the training yard; inspect the bloodstain in the dueling ring. Continue forward to a bamboo wall and pull it down with your grappling hook. Squeeze through the gap to start a cutscene and the duel.

Defeat the Spider Lily General and claim the armor

Win the duel to end the haunting. A path opens up the hill; walk forward and collect the armor from the shrine to complete the myth.

Why you’d use it

The Spider Lily Armor rewards play that breaks guards fast and keeps groups unstable. The drop chance for throwables feeds your quickfire options; the stagger bonuses shorten the time it takes to crack shields and odachi users; and the chance to pulse stagger into nearby foes buys breathing room. If you prefer duels, it’s still viable, but it shines most when you’re outnumbered.

Once you’ve cleared the mythic tale, consider pushing the set to Level III quickly for the better stagger scaling; Level IV’s ripple effect is the late‑game payoff for crowd fights.
