Ghost of Yōtei’s launch is paired with a limited-time Twitch campaign that grants two global chat badges. You’ll earn Gingko Leaf for watch time and The Onryō’s Mask for paid support on eligible channels streaming the game. Here’s the window, what counts, and how to claim each reward.

What the Ghost of Yōtei Twitch campaign gives you

Reward Type How to earn Minimum Where it shows up
Gingko Leaf Twitch Global Badge Watch an eligible Ghost of Yōtei stream 30 minutes Next to your username across Twitch chat
The Onryō’s Mask Twitch Global Badge Subscribe or gift a subscription to an eligible channel 1 paid or gifted sub during the window Next to your username across Twitch chat

These are Twitch-wide badges, not in-game items. Once granted, you can toggle them in your Twitch chat identity panel like any other global badge.

Campaign window (UTC)

  • Start: Oct 1, 2025 (around 11:00 UTC)
  • End: Oct 13, 2025 (06:59 UTC)

If you’re cutting it close, complete the watch time or subscription a little early to avoid missing the cutoff.

What qualifies as “eligible” on Twitch

Your time or subscription must be on a channel that meets both conditions:

  • Streaming in the Ghost of Yōtei category.
  • Has Drops enabled for the stream.

You can browse current streams in the Ghost of Yōtei category and filter for Drops-enabled channels from the official directory.

Ghost of Yōtei - Twitch
The game takes place 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima. Set in the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, a towering peak in the heart of Ezo, an area of Japan known as Hokkaido in present day. The area is outside the rule of Japan, and filled with sprawling grasslands, snowy tundras, and unexpected dangers.

How to earn Gingko Leaf (watch-time badge)

  • Sign in to your Twitch account.
  • Start watching any Ghost of Yōtei stream with Drops enabled during the window.
  • Watch for at least 30 minutes in total on an eligible channel.
  • Claim the reward prompt when it appears in your Drops & Rewards inventory: twitch.tv/drops/inventory.
Tip: Watch time only counts while you’re logged in and the stream is actually running. If you switch channels, make sure the new channel is also Drops-enabled.

How to earn The Onryō’s Mask (subscription badge)

  • During the campaign window, subscribe to (or gift a sub on) any Ghost of Yōtei channel with Drops enabled.
  • Paid tiers and gifted subs are eligible.
  • Prime subscriptions do not count for this badge.

Once the sub is processed within the window on an eligible channel, the badge is granted to your Twitch account. No separate game account linking is required.

Where to check progress and manage badges

  • Claim prompts and watch-time progress appear in your Drops & Rewards inventory: twitch.tv/drops/inventory.
  • After you’ve earned a badge, open any chat, click your chat identity, and select which global badges to display.

Common reasons you might not get credit

  • Watching a channel without Drops enabled, even if it’s in the Ghost of Yōtei category.
  • Not being signed in to Twitch while watching.
  • Letting the stream pause or disconnect for long stretches, breaking continuous time.
  • For The Onryō’s Mask: using a Prime sub instead of a paid or gifted sub, or subscribing outside the window.

If you met the criteria and still don’t see the badge, give it a little time and recheck your Drops & Rewards inventory. Ensure the sub or watch time happened within the campaign’s UTC window.

Quick context: what Ghost of Yōtei is

Ghost of Yōtei is set around Mount Yōtei in Ezo (present-day Hokkaido), roughly 300 years after Ghost of Tsushima, with sweeping grasslands, snowy tundra, and hostile wilderness anchoring the new map. On Twitch, look for streams tagged under that category during the campaign to earn the badges while you watch.

The window is brief, but the tasks are simple: watch for half an hour to lock in Gingko Leaf, and consider a paid or gifted sub on a Drops-enabled Ghost of Yōtei channel if you want The Onryō’s Mask as well. Once claimed, both badges become part of your permanent chat identity on Twitch.
