Grow a Garden best crops (Nov 2025) — profit-focused tier list

Grow a Garden keeps expanding — as of the 1.31.0 update, there are 154 crops, and not all of them pay. This tier list prioritizes base profit per harvest, multi-harvest potential, fruit count, and any passive that buffs nearby plants. Where useful, estimated profit per harvest is included so you can see why a plant lands where it does.

How this tier list ranks Grow a Garden crops

  • Profit first: base value per fruit × average fruit count (per harvest).
  • Staying power: multi-harvest crops rank higher than one-and-done plants at similar value.
  • Passives matter: some plants boost mutations on neighbors or apply special effects.
  • Variance exists: larger plants can spawn more fruits; values below assume typical yields.
Tip: Single-harvest plants with a very high base price can still be worth planting for mutation stacking, even if they don’t top raw profit per cycle.

These are the crops you can comfortably mass-plant for a cash farm. Moon Mango’s massive fruit count often outperforms its face-value math due to frequent big-fruit rolls.

A-tier crops (strong, accessible, or mutation-friendly)

  • Sugar Apple — ~8 fruits at 48k each (≈ 384k per round). Excellent non-event workhorse.
  • Tranquil Bloom — Four high-value blooms (~372k). Compact footprint helps layout.
  • Potato / Brussels Sprout — Small clusters, big returns (≈ 360k each) when stocked.
  • Golden Peach / Poseidon Plant — Reliable multi-harvests in the ~325k–325k range.
  • Hive Fruit / Beanstalk — Good volume earners (≈ 310k–308k).
  • Pecan / Mangrove — Single or few high-base units (~300k) with clean cycles.
  • Traveler’s Fruit / Auburn Pine — ~295k per pick; consistent.
  • Elder Strawberry / Spiked Mango / Grand Tomato — ~268k–270k; tight clusters, easy harvesting lanes.
  • Seer Vine / Glass Kiwi — High base per unit; reharvestable without fuss (≈ 260k).
  • Lily of the Valley — ~5 blooms × ~49k; ~246k with compact spacing.
  • Nectarine / Maple Apple / Ghost Pepper / Bitter Melon — ~231k–240k region; dependable mid-game cash.
  • Gleamroot / Mummy’s Hand / Firefly Fern — ~216k–225k; versatile filler rows.
  • Serenity / Guanabana / Grand Volcania / Rosy Delight — ~207k–210k; mutation-friendly.
  • Parasol Flower — One-time, high payout (~200k) that can cap off a rotation.

Use A-tier to fill gaps while you chase S/SS seeds. Many of these shine when densely planted near mutation passives.

B-tier crops (good value, flexible layouts)

  • Burning Bud / Evo Pumpkin (Tier IV) / Lingonberry / Duskpuff — ~140k each; fast, tidy rows.
  • Soft Sunshine — ~135k; three flowers at 45k each.
  • Torchflare / Devilroot / Cocovine — ~132k; Cocovine can swing higher on larger plants.
  • Lucky Bamboo / Meyer Lemon / Pyracantha — ~126k–130k; compact footprint.
  • King Cabbage / Princess Thorn / Kniphofia — ~110k–120k; practical mid-game earners.
  • Aetherfruit / Tall Asparagus / Crown Melon / Honeysuckle / Mangosteen — ~100k class; simple care cycles.
  • Corpse Flower / Lumira / Venus Fly Trap — ~85k; Lumira excels for mutation stacking despite single yield per cycle.
  • Amberfruit Shrub / Evo Mushroom (Tier IV) / Sundew / Hinomai / Candy Sunflower / Celestiberry / Suncoil — ~80k band; reliable fillers.
  • Feijoa / Chicken Feed / Hazelnut / Briar Rose / Purple Dahlia / Taco Fern / Twisted Tangle — ~72k–78k; plug gaps efficiently.
  • Moon Melon / Black Bat Flower / Glowthorn / Sugarglaze / Aloe Vera / Horned Dinoshroom — ~69k–72k; steady income for event layouts.
  • Orange Delight / Ember Lily / Pink Lily — ~65k–68k; quick to place and clear.
  • Prickly Pear / Acorn Squash / Ghost Bush / Zombie Fruit / Starfruit / Jalapeño / Ghoul Root / Broccoli / Bee Balm / Mango / Pitcher Plant / Protea / Evo Beetroot (Tier IV) / Flare Daisy / Paradise Petal / Violet Corn / Rose — spread across ~50k–63k; low effort, multi-use.

Plant these when inventory and space favor fast rotations or when you’re angling for specific mutation mixes. Lumira, in particular, is a mutation stacking staple despite its modest base cycle.

These plants take mutation multipliers exceptionally well. In mutation-heavy setups, their effective returns leapfrog even some raw-profit leaders. Great Pumpkin and Weeping Branch also help by enabling or enhancing critical mutations nearby.

Early-game and low-tier plants to skip (unless you need them)

Plant these for aesthetics or specific tasks; otherwise, prioritize higher tiers for profit:

  • C-tier: Coconut (~12,800), Pepper (~32,000), Grape (~39,250), Pear (~40,000), Daisy (~40,000), Moonflower (~28,500), Cursed Fruit (~25,750), Autumn Shroom (~25,000), Foxglove (~20,000), Kiwi (~19,250), Dragon Fruit (~14,250), Cranberry (~13,600), Pumpkin (~3,400), Watermelon (~3,000), Apple (~2,750), Pineapple (~2,000).
  • D-tier: Raspberry (~900), Orange Tulip (~850; one-time), Buttercup (~600; one-time), Blueberry (~140), Tomato (~120), Strawberry (~60), Cauliflower (~50), Corn (~40), Carrot (~20; one-time).
Note: “Skip” doesn’t mean “useless.” Some low-tier crops are helpful for event tasks, heavy-fruit objectives, or mutation experiments.

What actually makes a crop “best”

  • High base value per fruit: The easiest lever — Zebrazinkle, Crimson Thorn, Bone Blossom, and Maple Resin top this list.
  • Fruit count per cycle: Moon Mango, Candy Blossom, and Trinity Fruit multiply their base value through sheer volume.
  • Multi-harvest behavior: Perennial plants beat one-time picks at the same value tier over time.
  • Passives and synergy: Weeping Branch’s Evo mutation passive and Trinity Fruit’s Safari mutation pulse can supercharge neighbors.
  • Variance by plant size: Some crops grow larger forms that raise the fruit count, nudging their real-world returns above the listed averages.

Fast picks: what to plant right now

  • Chasing raw cash: Zebrazinkle → Crimson Thorn → Candy Blossom → Maple Resin.
  • Seed shop staples: Cocomango, Sugar Apple, Dragon Pepper, Moon Mango.
  • Event standouts (if you have them): Trinity Fruit, Weeping Branch, Great Pumpkin, Baobab, Peacock Tail.
  • Mutation stackers: Zebrazinkle, Crimson Thorn, Bone Blossom, Evo Apple (IV), Naval Wort.

If you’re rebuilding a layout, dedicate one zone to SS/S-tier earners, another to high-base mutation stackers, and keep a smaller strip for event or task-driven plants. That balance covers daily cash, mutation rolls, and limited-time needs without constant replanting.
