Harvestfall Village sits in Qinghe’s Sundara Land region as one of the densest hubs of side content in Where Winds Meet. Within a small radius, you can wrap up multi-part Wandering Tales, several timed Encounters, a trio of Injustice cases, and the Old Friends objective that reaches beyond the village boundary.
This breakdown focuses on what you actually do: where to stand, which skills are required, and when in the in‑game day events will fire.
How to finish the Heaven Spear Wandering Tale in Harvestfall Village
The Heaven Spear Wandering Tale chain ends in Harvestfall Village.
Step 1: Start the Wandering Tale “True or False Young Master” outside Heaven Spear by speaking to the NPC who is impersonating you.

Step 2: After the initial dialogue, the NPC relocates to Harvestfall Village. Travel to Harvestfall Village’s boundary stone and look for them at the marked position inside the village.
Step 3: Talk to the impersonator again in Harvestfall Village to complete Heaven Spear Wandering Tale Part 6.

Harvestfall Village Wandering Tales (all five parts)
Harvestfall Village has five local Wandering Tales. Completing them is useful on its own and is also a prerequisite for some Encounter content in the wider region.
Wandering Tale 1 – Breaking From Tradition
Step 1: From the Harvestfall Village landmark, move toward the market area with the shadow puppet stall.
Step 2: In front of the stall is a tree where a dog is barking at something on the ground. Inspect the ground to pick up a memorial tablet.

Step 3: Return the memorial tablet to the nearby quest giver (inside the house where the earlier discussion occurs). Speaking to them with the tablet in your inventory completes “Breaking Tradition.”

Wandering Tale 2 – Eternal Flame
This Tale requires the theft skill Celestial Seas.
Step 1: From the village boundary stone, head to the village chief–related NPC in Harvestfall Village who holds the granary key.
Step 2: Use the Celestial Seas skill at a safe distance to steal the granary key. Avoid standing too close to prevent detection.

Step 3: Go to the village granary. Interact with the door to unlock it using the stolen key.

Step 4: Enter the granary and defeat all enemies inside so you can move freely.

Step 5: Loot the confidential letter from the desk inside the granary.

Step 6: Return to the Harvestfall Village chief (Yang Chi / Yang Qi, depending on your language setting) and hand over the confidential letter to finish “Eternal Flame.”

Wandering Tale 3 – God of Wealth
Step 1: Start from the Harvestfall Village landmark and speak with the superstitious woman very close to the stone. She has lost a “God of Fortune” statue.

Step 2: Travel to the cliffside near the water shown by the quest marker. The God of Fortune statue sits there; pick it up.

Step 3: Bring the statue back to the woman to complete “God of Wealth.”

Wandering Tale 4 – Child’s Toy
Step 1: Return to the shadow puppet stall area in Harvestfall Village.
Step 2: On the nearby bench, pick up the shadow puppet item.

Step 3: Walk up the road toward the child indicated by the quest marker and give them the shadow puppet. This resolves the Tale often titled “Child’s Toy” or “Child’s Play.”

Wandering Tale 5 – The Crazy Beggar
Step 1: From the Harvestfall Village landmark, move to the beggar NPC labelled as the “Crazy Beggar.” Speak with him to learn that he wants his weapon back.

Step 2: Head to the small graveyard area nearby with a tree and several markers. A long spear is stuck in the ground there.
Step 3: Pick up the spear.

Step 4: Return to the Crazy Beggar and hand over the spear. This concludes the final local Wandering Tale.

Harvestfall Village Encounters (Path of Heroes, Lucky Break, Night Flashes Shadow)
Encounter quests in Harvestfall Village are more scripted than Wandering Tales and can be picky about time of day and prerequisites.
Encounter 1 – Path of Heroes
This Encounter triggers only during daytime.
Step 1: During the day (for example, at Wu Hour), approach the stables inside Harvestfall Village. A group of children appears and starts the “Path of Heroes” Encounter.

Step 2: After the conversation, the children vanish, and a worn protective charm remains nearby. Pick it up.
Step 3: Follow the path down from the stables and speak to Yan Datie.

Step 4: Agree to continue the quest; you are automatically moved to a new location.
Step 5: At the new site, inspect the area behind the rocks to examine a sword. Speak with Yan Datie again.

Step 6: Follow Yan Datie to the nearby camp, then defeat all enemies there.
Step 7: Interact with the investigation point in the camp to obtain a satchel.
Step 8: Return the satchel to Yan Datier, now found near the Palace of Annals. Use Windsense to follow footprints from the investigation points.

Step 9: After reviewing the clues with Yan Datier and stating your conclusion, clear out the marked enemy camp to rescue the child and end “Path of Heroes.”

Encounter 2 – Lucky Break
This Encounter requires daytime and a minimum world exploration reputation in the first region Qinghe (described in‑game as reaching a “rising fame” level).
Step 1: During the day, go to the area in Harvestfall Village where two NPCs stand together (the marker sits slightly away from the main square). Speak with them to begin “Lucky Break.” If nothing triggers, increase your Qinghe world exploration level and return.

Step 2: After accepting, talk to the broker near the nearby notice board.

Step 3: Follow the road to the lumber camp and speak with Carpenter Mao.

Step 4: Visit the tea merchant close to the camp and buy refreshments for Carpenter Mao.

Step 5: Wait until the next in‑game day, then return to Carpenter Mau and deliver the tea.

Step 6: Move to the prison courtyard and talk to the guard on the left.

Step 7: Find the Wang clan patriarch on the nearby path, speak with him, then accompany him back to the courtyard entrance for another short exchange with the guard.

Step 8: Enter the prison courtyard and talk to the prisoner on the right side to close out “Lucky Break.”

Encounter 3 – Night Flash's Shadow
This is the trickiest Encounter in the Harvestfall Village region to trigger. It also ties Harvestfall to Finesteed Hamlet and Halo Peak.
Night Flash's Shadow – requirements and trigger
Step 1: Complete all five Wandering Tales in Finesteed Hamlet. The Hamlet is a nearby landmark in Qinghe’s Sundara Land.
Step 2: After finishing those Tales, speak with the NPC Li Aili in Finesteed Hamlet.

Step 3: Inside another house in Finesteed Hamlet, interact with a letter on the shelf on the left side. This interaction may be required for the Encounter flag.
Step 4: Make sure both the Finesteed Hamlet and Harvestfall Village boundary stones are activated so you can fast travel between them.
Step 5: Fast travel to Harvestfall Village, specifically at the You Hour (the evening slot mentioned in the in‑game time system).
Step 6: Walk from the fast travel stone toward the village gate. Move around this area until a new Encounter objective appears, then approach the crowd outside the gate to officially start “Night Flashes Shadow.”

Step 7: If it still does not trigger, clear your Encounter quest list down to at most one active quest by completing or giving up others, wait several minutes of real time in a distant area such as a bamboo grove, then fast travel back to Harvestfall Village at You Hour and try again. Many Encounter flags behave as if they need a cooldown after failed attempts.
Night Flashes Shadow – horse theft and prison segment
Once the Encounter has started at the village gate, the story focuses on a horse and a bandit plot.
Step 1: Speak with Qi and Li in the crowd to learn the plan. Choose the dialogue option to steal the horse at night.

Step 2: Wait until midnight in‑game.
Step 3: At midnight, go to the Harvestfall Village stables and talk with Qi. After the cutscene, follow the Encounter markers west toward the prison complex.

Step 4: When you reach the final marker, stand in front of the prison entrance. The objective updates to “Talk with the Greenwood Bandit.”
Step 5: Climb or move to the cliff on the left side overlooking the prison; the Greenwood Bandit is waiting at the top. Speak with him to start a duel, then defeat him.

Step 6: Enter the prison courtyard and talk with the NPC standing next to the horse inside.

Step 7: Go into the inn-like building in the courtyard and speak with the two NPCs sitting at the table on the ground floor.

Step 8: Follow the two NPCs back outside to speak with the NPC by the horse again, advancing the investigation phase.
Night Flashes Shadow – deductions and Halo Peak finale
Step 1: Go to the top floor of the inn and interact with every highlighted clue object in the room.

Step 2: Once you have all the clues, open the deduction interface (touchpad, then right on the D‑pad on the controller) and pair the clues until the deduction completes. Wrong combinations do not fail the quest; they simply let you try again.

Step 3: Leave the inn and speak with Qi outside.

Step 4: Fast travel to Halo Peak, a landmark in Qinghe’s Sundara Land.
Step 5: At Halo Peak, talk to Qi again, then inspect the two corpses nearby. Be ready for a bear attack in this area.

Step 6: Examine the incense burner on the rock near the corpses, then follow the scent trail up the path using the quest marker.

Step 7: Behind the house at the top of the path, speak with the child.

Step 8: Continue climbing to the very top of the mountain, where Qi and the horse are waiting. Dig at the spot between or at the feet of Qi and the horse when prompted.

Step 9: After the final conversation sequence, talk to the nearby monk. This wraps up “Night Flashes Shadow.”

Harvestfall Village Injustice quests
The Harvestfall Village region also contains three short Injustice cases. Two involve catching pickpockets; the third uses your Meridian Touch skill for healing rather than combat.
Injustice – Jade Grip Arrest
Step 1: During the day (for example, at You Hour), walk toward the tavern building in Harvestfall Village.
Step 2: An NPC will be highlighted, and you are prompted to follow without being seen. Tail them at a distance, using cover, until they reach their target.
Step 3: As soon as the NPC begins the pickpocket animation on another villager, activate the Meridian Touch skill to immobilize them.

Step 4: Approach while they are frozen. After a brief fade to black, the pickpocket appears tied to a horse.
Step 5: Mount the horse and ride to the marked destination to deliver the criminal. That hand-in completes the “Jade Grip Arrest” Injustice quest.
Injustice – second pickpocket arrest
This case works nearly identically but starts in a different corner of the village.
Step 1: Go to the other marked location in Harvestfall Village (away from the tavern) where an NPC is flagged for tailing, ideally during daytime around Wei Hour.
Step 2: Follow this NPC discreetly until they attempt to pickpocket another villager.
Step 3: When the pickpocket animation starts, use Meridian Touch again to stop them in place.

Step 4: After the screen transition places them on a horse, ride to the designated drop‑off point. Turning in the thief finishes the second Injustice quest.
Injustice – Smile Through It All
Step 1: Move to the rear of Harvestfall Village, where the fields sit. On a raised platform near the fields, a group of NPCs stands with an “overjoyed” status effect.
Step 2: Use Meridian Touch on the affected NPCs to cure the overjoy status.

Step 3: Speak with them afterward to complete “Smile Through It All.”
Old Friends in Harvestfall Village and Angler’s location
Old Friends is a separate type of objective that asks you to track down specific NPCs associated with Harvestfall Village.
Two characters are relevant:
- Wu Cezhi (“toilet paper guy”): A worker in or near the Buddha statues inside the village at night, when playing online. He needs toilet paper to resolve his part of Old Friends. Language switching to Chinese has been used as a workaround when dialogue fails to trigger, while still allowing English text for conversations.
- Angler: The second Old Friend for this objective. From the Harvestfall Village teleport, move to the top-right on the map, following the path toward the water. Angler stands by the shoreline just outside the village proper.
Speaking to both Wu Cezhi (with his small requirement completed) and Angler registers the two Old Friends tied to Harvestfall Village.
Clearing this cluster of content around Harvestfall Village not only fills in the region’s exploration progress but also unlocks story threads that connect the village to Finesteed Hamlet, the prison complex, and Halo Peak. Treat the area as an early hub: once the Wandering Tales, Encounters, Injustice cases, and Old Friends are done here, the surrounding zones tend to open up more smoothly.
