Hollow Knight: Silksong — Silkspeed Anklets location and use
Hollow Knight: SilksongAccess Weavenest Cindril, meet the Needolin requirement, and trigger the hidden Rune Harp chamber.

Silkspeed Anklets are a Yellow Tool that speeds up Hornet’s sprint (Swift Step) and draws a small, continuous amount of Silk while running. They’re obtainable early and sit in a dedicated yellow slot, making them a straightforward upgrade for movement-focused exploration and timed deliveries.
Silkspeed Anklets location (Weavenest Cindril, Far Fields)
The Anklets sit in Weavenest Cindril, a hidden room on the far eastern edge of Far Fields. You’ll reach a hall lined with light pillars; completing a single, uninterrupted sprint across this tunnel reveals the reward pedestal.
Prerequisites
- Needolin (unlocks certain doors; learned after defeating the Widow near Bellhart).

- Swift Step (Hornet’s sprint/run).

Reach Weavenest Cindril from the Seamstress’s bench
Step 1: From the Seamstress’s hut bench in Far Fields, head right and drop to the stone platforms below. This places you on the lower approach to the area’s eastern edge.
Step 2: Move past the air updraft and enter the room on the right. This leads into a long eastbound chamber.

Step 3: Continue right until you reach the far end of the chamber. Watch for environmental hazards while proceeding.

Step 4: Strike the smoldering wall brazier to break through into the next room. This opens the route toward the locked gate.
Step 5: Advance east across enemies and lava pockets to reach the Needolin door. Clear threats to avoid knockback into hazards.
Step 6: Play Needolin to unlock the gate. On controller, press Triangle
/Y
to perform the song.

Step 7: Enter Weavenest Cindril. A bench and a straight tunnel with light pillars are to the east.
Activate the pillar run and claim the Anklets
Step 1: Start at the tunnel near the bench and begin sprinting with Swift Step. Hold R2
/RT
to run continuously.

Step 2: Maintain a single uninterrupted sprint across the full length of the tunnel so each pillar lights as you pass. Stopping or losing momentum fails the sequence.

Step 3: When all pillars are lit, a pedestal rises at the end of the hall. Pick up the Silkspeed Anklets.

Step 4: Return to the bench to equip the Yellow Tool. The movement speed boost applies while sprinting with Swift Step.

Use Silkspeed Anklets (effect and costs)
While equipped, Hornet runs noticeably faster during Swift Step. The Anklets slowly consume Silk as you sprint; this is minor but persistent, so you’ll want Silk in reserve for fights or long runs. There’s no on/off toggle—unequip the item at a bench to stop its effect. Tools like Weavelight can improve Silk regeneration if you want the speed active more often.

Equip and run
Step 1: Sit at any bench and equip Silkspeed Anklets in a Yellow Tool slot. Confirm you still have any other desired yellow tools slotted.
Step 2: Hold R2
/RT
to sprint with Swift Step. Watch your Silk spool; if it runs low, stop sprinting to rebuild Silk or defeat enemies to refill.
Step 3: For longer travel, pair with Silk-regeneration tools to keep the speed active more consistently. Swap the Anklets out before boss attempts if you prefer to conserve Silk strictly for combat skills.
Weavenest Cindril secret — open the Rune Harp hatch
There’s a second secret beneath the pillar tunnel that requires both Silkspeed Anklets and Flea Brew (rewarded for completing the Lost Fleas wish). Running the hall with both effects active opens a trap door to a small chamber containing the Rune Harp relic, which you can trade to Relic Seeker Scrounge in Bellhart for rosaries.

Trigger the hatch and collect the Rune Harp
Step 1: At the Weavenest Cindril bench, equip the Silkspeed Anklets. Confirm you have Flea Brew available in your inventory.

Step 2: Consume Flea Brew while standing near the tunnel entrance to apply its movement effect.

Step 3: Immediately sprint the full length of the tunnel with Swift Step so every pillar triggers while both effects are active. Keep a continuous run.

Step 4: When the trap door opens near the pedestal, drop into the newly revealed room and pick up the Rune Harp.

Step 5: Visit Relic Seeker Scrounge in Bellhart and exchange the Rune Harp for a rosary reward.
When Silkspeed Anklets are most useful
The speed boost shortens cross-region travel and backtracking, streamlines timed delivery wishes, and makes repositioning out of large enemy attacks quicker. Because the Silk cost is small but constant, they’re ideal for exploration and errands and can be swapped out before extended boss practice if you want to prioritize Silk for combat skills.
Once you’ve unlocked the route, grabbing Silkspeed Anklets takes only a few minutes and pays off across the rest of the run. Pick them up early and you’ll save time on nearly every trip through Pharloom.
