Quick Info
- Instagram now lets you add text to your posts without having to rely on third-party applications like Canva.
- While adding text, you can modify it in various ways by changing its style, size, color, etc.
- You can add text both to single and multiple images but you cannot edit the text once your post is created.
- Single images with text in carousel posts can be removed without affecting the rest of the post.
When you add text to a photo and create a post, it will appear in your followers' feeds and on your profile until you archive or delete it.
- Open Instagram and tap on the '+' icon at the bottom to create a new post.
- Select one or more photos for your post and then tap on the 'Next' button.
- On the next page, tap on the 'Aa' icon at the top right and you will get the option to add text to your post.
- Type the text you want to appear and you can change its color, size, style, and position using the controls at the top of the page. You can move the text by dragging it around and change its size by pinching and zooming.
- Once you're done, tap on the 'Next' button at the bottom right to save the changes.
- If you want, you can add a location, music, and tags to the post. Finally, tap on the 'Share' button to create your post.
Note: You cannot make changes to the text once the post is created, so make sure it appears how you want it to before posting. For a carousel with a mistake in the text, you can delete the image with the error without needing to remove the carousel itself.
