How to Build the Ultimate PvE Setup in Bizarre Lineage

Bizarre Lineage rewards players who tailor their builds to the content they're running, and PvE is no exception. Farming Raid Bosses for Raid Tokens, clearing story missions, and grinding NPCs for resources all demand a build philosophy that's fundamentally different from PvP. AI enemies behave predictably, which means you can safely trade defensive stats for raw damage output — and the payoff is dramatically faster clear times across every piece of PvE content in the game.

Quick answer: Run Anubis with the Mythical Feral personality, invest all Stat Points into Weapon and Destructive Power, equip The Ripple (Hamon) as your Sub-Ability, use Boxing as your Fighting Style, slot Frenzied State / The Blade / King of Flames as perks, and wear the Prime Jotaro accessory set.

Anubis — The Strongest PvE Stand

Anubis sits at the top of the PvE tier list because it covers every scenario you'll encounter while farming. The Stand combines strong area-of-effect attacks for clearing groups of mobs with reliable single-target damage for melting Raid Bosses. Its full moveset breaks down like this:

AbilityKeybindRole
BarrageESustained close-range damage
RendRHigh single-target burst
Dice OutZMobility / repositioning
Cursed SeveranceXHeavy AoE damage
Flash StrikeCGap-closer with burst potential

Dice Out and Flash Strike give you the mobility to reposition between packs or dodge telegraphed Raid Boss attacks, while Rend and Cursed Severance handle the actual killing. For the fastest possible clears, aim for full S-rank Stand stats.

Mythical Feral — Best Stand Personality for PvE

The Mythical Feral personality grants a flat +10% damage buff at the cost of −10% defense. In PvP, that trade-off can be punishing, but against AI enemies — whose attack patterns are readable and avoidable — the defense penalty is almost irrelevant. You're effectively getting a permanent 10% speed boost to every kill with no meaningful downside.

Two alternatives are worth mentioning if you haven't rolled Feral yet:

PersonalityRarityBuffDrawback
FeralMythical+10% damage−10% defense
TranscendentMythicalBalanced buff across all statsNone
DominantMythical+25% damage while untouchedBuff lost when you take damage

Transcendent is the safe pick — no debuffs, but the defensive portion of its buff doesn't help much against mobs. Dominant offers the highest ceiling at +25% damage, though maintaining it requires you to avoid every incoming hit. That's realistic against regular enemies, but much harder during Raid Boss encounters.

Stat Point Allocation — Weapon and Destructive Power

Pour every available Stat Point into Weapon and Destructive Power. The entire philosophy behind a PvE build is to kill AI enemies before they become a threat, so defensive stats like Health or Defense are wasted investment. The faster each mob dies, the more efficient your farming loop becomes.

⚠️
Keep in mind that committing heavily to Weapon locks you into Stands that scale with that stat. If you plan to swap between PvE and PvP Stands regularly, you may need separate character slots — there's no easy workaround for respeccing stat investments on the fly.

The Ripple (Hamon) — Best Sub-Ability

The Ripple, also known as Hamon, is the clear winner for PvE Sub-Abilities. Every ability in its kit deals substantial damage on its own, and the moveset layers in crowd control through stuns and displacements. On top of that, all Ripple abilities apply a vulnerability debuff to targets, which stacks with the rest of your damage-focused build to let you delete enemies before they can retaliate. Against AI opponents that don't dodge or block intelligently, that combination is devastating.

Boxing — Best Fighting Style

Boxing's two core skills, Liver Crusher and White Fang, are fast-executing, damage-oriented moves with minimal recovery frames. That speed matters in PvE because it keeps you safe between ability cooldowns — you can weave in Boxing attacks without leaving yourself open to counterattacks from mobs or bosses. The low-risk, high-reward nature of the moveset makes it the most reliable Fighting Style for sustained grinding.

Optimal PvE Perks

Perk selection follows the same damage-over-defense logic as the rest of the build. The three perks below synergize directly with Anubis and the Ripple:

PerkEffectWhy It Works
Frenzied State+20% damage while under a status effect, −25% defenseThe defense penalty is negligible against AI; the damage spike is enormous
The Blade+10% slash damageDirectly buffs Anubis's slash-heavy moveset
King of FlamesStand abilities apply BurnAdds passive damage-over-time to every Stand attack, speeding up kills
Note: Some players recommend the Hierophant perk as a swap for one of these slots, since it provides a 15% slash damage increase. If you don't have access to one of the three core perks listed above, Hierophant is a strong substitute.

Prime Jotaro's Set — Best PvE Accessories

For accessories, equip the full Prime Jotaro's set. It continues the build's theme of stacking as much offensive power as possible, reducing the time you spend in each encounter. No defensive accessory set competes with the clear-speed improvement this provides when you're already built to avoid damage rather than absorb it.

This build is a glass-cannon setup by design. If you find yourself taking too much damage during Raid Boss fights or tougher story missions, there's nothing wrong with shifting a portion of your Stat Points into defensive stats or swapping Feral for Transcendent. The core idea — prioritize kill speed over survivability — holds true for the vast majority of PvE content in Bizarre Lineage, but comfort matters too, especially during longer farming sessions.
