How to claim all 2,500 free Units in the Marvel Rivals Anniversary event

Marvel Rivals is turning one, and the anniversary event is handing out a full 2,500 Units of premium currency plus a free legendary Jeff the Land Shark skin. None of it requires spending money, but some of it does require logging in on specific days and using the new Rivals Assemble social system correctly.

Here’s how to secure every Unit and where the Jeff “Business Shark” costume fits into the event.

Anniversary schedule and total free Units

The first anniversary celebration starts on November 27, 2025 at 9AM UTC and runs alongside Season 5: Love Is a Battlefield. Across the event window, you can collect:

Source Units Key requirement
Daily login bonuses 1,500 Log in on seven specific days
Rivals Assemble (friends / crew) 600 Earn 2,000 Assemble Points with invited players
December 4 gift 400 Claim once when it appears in the event menu
Total 2,500 All of the above

That 2,500-unit bundle is enough to buy most legendary skins from the in-game store, and it sits on top of the free legendary Jeff costume from Jeff’s Break Time.

Daily logins: how to get the first 1,500 Units

The bulk of the free currency is tied to a one-week login track running from November 27 through December 4. The process is extremely simple but unforgiving if you skip days.

Login day Reward How to claim
Day 1 200 Units Log in and collect from your in-game mailbox or event page
Day 2 200 Units Same flow
Day 3 200 Units Same flow
Day 4 200 Units Same flow
Day 5 200 Units Same flow
Day 6 200 Units Same flow
Day 7 300 Units Same flow
Total 1,500 Units Requires logging in on all seven days

Each day, the Units are delivered through the event interface or your mailbox; you still need to press the claim button. Failing to log in on any one of the seven days means losing that day’s Units; there’s no makeup mechanic described for missed logins.

For anyone who doesn’t want to think about it, the safest move is to log in once per day from November 27 through December 4, even if you don’t have time to play a full match.

Rivals Assemble: how to earn the extra 600 Units with friends

The more contentious chunk of anniversary currency is tied to Rivals Assemble, a social event embedded in the main anniversary tab. It turns your friends list into a shared progress bar, and the total payout is 600 Units.

Where to find Rivals Assemble

Once the event is live, Rivals Assemble appears inside the anniversary interface on the Events screen. On the left side of the Rivals Assemble panel, there are several plus icons representing empty crew slots. Each slot can be filled with a player you invite.

How inviting and Assemble Points work

Rivals Assemble does not require brand-new players; existing players can be invited into your crew. The flow looks like this:

  • Open the Rivals Assemble menu in the event tab.
  • Select one of the plus icons on the left.
  • Enter a friend’s Crew Code, UID, or in-game nickname in the text field and confirm.
  • Once they accept or are added, they become part of your crew for this activity.

After that, everyone plays the game more or less as usual. Crew members complete simple tasks — logging in, playing matches, dealing damage, finishing missions — and those actions feed into a shared Assemble Points total that unlocks the Unit milestones.

Assemble Points reached Units earned Cumulative Units
200 200 Units 200
300 100 Units 300
400 100 Units 400
500 100 Units 500
600 100 Units 600
2,000 total points 600 Units total

Up to five friends can be part of your crew, and the missions involved are lightweight: damage quotas, daily logins, or basic participation in modes. Progress and rewards are tracked directly inside the Rivals Assemble panel.

Functionally, this is a referral mechanic pushed onto the existing friend graph. It rewards players who already have an active friends list, but even solo players can brute-force it by adding strangers from match chat or the Times Square social hub and riding their routine play for points.

December 4 login gift: the final 400 Units

The last slice of anniversary currency is decoupled from missions. On December 4, a one-time reward of 400 Units is distributed through the anniversary interface.

  • Log in on or after December 4 while the anniversary event is still active.
  • Open the event menu and navigate to the anniversary rewards page.
  • Claim the 400-Unit gift when it appears.

No play requirements sit on top of this drop; you simply need to be present on the day it unlocks and collect it from the correct menu. Once claimed, your total across the event reaches the full 2,500 Units.

Jeff’s Break Time: free legendary Jeff the Business Shark

Alongside the currency rewards, the anniversary is also handing out a full legendary costume without charging Units or Lattice: Jeff the Land Shark’s “Business Suit” look, often referred to in-game as Jeff the Business Shark.

How Jeff’s Break Time works

Jeff’s Break Time is the main anniversary event pass and borrows elements from past Marvel Rivals events, but instead of a simple level bar, it uses a vending machine-style reward system driven by Match XP.

  • Play matches in any supported mode to earn Match XP.
  • Every 1,800 Match XP grants one vending machine pick.
  • Picks unlock prizes on a free track and, if purchased, a premium track.

On the free side of the track, the legendary Jeff the Business Shark costume is one of the headline rewards, joined by individual cosmetic pieces tied to Jeff: alternate suits, glasses, ties, and tails. These let you mix and match Jeff’s appearance in unusual ways for a single legendary slot.

The premium track upgrades the vending machine with extra items, including exclusive outfits for Mr. Fantastic (“DAD-TASTIC REED”) and Sue Storm (“DISAPPEARING DESSERT”). The buy-in for that premium access follows the familiar 690 Lattice structure used in past events, but Jeff’s skin itself sits in the free portion; only time and matches stand between you and the legendary costume.

How these Units fit into Marvel Rivals’ currency system

Units are one of three core currencies in Marvel Rivals:

Currency Icon / feel Main use How it’s usually earned
Units Blue coin Cosmetics in the store (skins, weapon skins, emotes, seasonal items) Events, achievements, some battle pass rewards, limited-time giveaways
Lattice Gold coin Premium bundles, battle pass purchases, some event passes Primarily purchased with real money, occasionally from passes
Chrono Tokens Seasonal token Progressing the current battle pass pages Daily and weekly missions

The anniversary pool of 2,500 free Units is large by the game’s usual standards. For context, that amount is enough to buy most legendary costumes in the store outright, with some headroom for cheaper cosmetics, or to stock up for future event shops without converting Lattice.

Because Units are strictly cosmetic and can be earned through play, the anniversary event briefly shifts Marvel Rivals closer to a “grind to glam” model instead of pure monetization, even as it uses social systems like Rivals Assemble to push players together.

If the goal is to walk away from the anniversary with both a new legendary hero skin from the store and Jeff the Business Shark in a tailored suit, the plan is straightforward: log in daily from November 27 to December 4, fill a Rivals Assemble crew with players who are already active, and clear enough matches in Jeff’s Break Time to spin the vending machine down to Jeff and his accessories. Everything else is optional flourish.
