How to Complete After Rain Comes in Arc Raiders

After Rain Comes is a Celeste quest in Arc Raiders that sends you to the Buried City map to repair a set of flooded solar panels near the Grandioso Apartments. It's a short mission with a catch — the quest doesn't tell you upfront that you need specific crafting materials to finish the job. Show up empty-handed and you'll either be scrounging mid-raid or heading home with nothing to show for it.

Quick answer: You need 5 Wires and 2 Batteries in your inventory before deploying. Head to the solar panels east of Grandioso Apartments in the southwest of Buried City, find the yellow junction box underneath, and interact with it to complete the quest.

Required materials for After Rain Comes

ItemQuantity needed
Wires5
Batteries2

Without both of these items in your inventory, the yellow junction box at the solar panels won't give you an interaction prompt. The quest's second step — the actual repair — only reveals itself once you reach the panels, so there's no in-game warning beforehand that you need to bring supplies.

Where to get Wires and Batteries

Wires and Batteries are common drops found in Technological and Electrical points of interest on any map. On Buried City specifically, the Space Travel, Research, Santa Maria Houses, and Grandioso Apartments areas all contain computers, server cabinets, and other tech containers that frequently yield both items. On Dam Battlegrounds, check the Power Generation Complex, Research & Administration, and Control Tower.

You can also get them by recycling electrical junk. Power Cables break down into Wires, and Industrial Batteries recycle into Batteries. Items like Portable TVs, Toasters, Power Banks, and Heatsinks can also produce one or both materials.

The fastest method, though, is simply buying them from Celeste in Speranza before you deploy. She sells up to 10 Batteries and 10 Wires per day for a few seeds each — more than enough for this quest with materials to spare.

🛡️
Place your Wires and Batteries in safe pockets before deploying. Losing them to an ARC patrol, a hostile raider, or a bad fall means starting the material hunt all over again.

Solar panel location in Buried City

Step 1: Deploy into Buried City and head toward the southwest corner of the map. Your destination is the Grandioso Apartments area.

Step 2: Instead of going into the apartments themselves, look to the east side of the building complex. In the open clearing near a flooded pond, you'll see two sets of large solar panels at ground level.

Step 3: Go to the solar panel array that's farther from the apartments. Underneath it, tucked against the ground, is a yellow electrical junction box. Walk up to it and press the interact key to use your Wires and Batteries. The repair completes instantly, and the quest finishes on the spot.

Be aware that the Grandioso Apartments area is a popular looting destination, so other players may be nearby — potentially on rooftops above you with a clear line of sight to the solar panels. Move with purpose and keep your head on a swivel while you're working at ground level.

After completing the repair

You don't need to extract to lock in the quest completion. The moment you interact with the junction box, After Rain Comes is marked as finished. That said, extracting is always preferable to dying, so consider heading to the Western Station extraction point, which sits slightly northeast of the solar panels and is usually a quick jog away.

Completing the quest rewards you with a zipline (granted when you first accept the mission), five blue light sticks, five durable cloths, and three antiseptics. The rewards are modest, but the quest itself is one of the quicker ones in Arc Raiders — provided you remembered to pack your materials before heading topside.
