How to Complete Lise's Request in Code Vein 2

Lise's Request is a two-part side quest in Code Vein 2 that becomes available after you complete Josée's Request and save her from her tragic fate in the past. Upon unlocking this quest, you'll find Lise and her sister Josée arguing in MagMell's dining area. Lise will ask for your help dealing with dangerous creatures that have overrun an outpost in the Sunken City. Completing both parts of her request grants you Lise, as a recruitable partner and unlocks her Blood Code.

Quick answer: Travel to Checkpoint Ruins in the Sunken City and defeat the Corroded Scar Predator, then go to the Sunken City Aquarium and defeat the Wandering Specter with Lise as your partner.

Part 1: Defeat the Corroded Scar Predator

After speaking with Lise in MagMell, travel to the Checkpoint Ruins in the northeast section of the Sunken City. You'll find a boss arena near a small pond where the Corroded Scar Predator waits. This creature uses several distinct attack patterns you should prepare for.

Rush attacks: The Corroded Scar Predator charges forward in your direction and finishes with a quick roll. Block or dodge these attacks, as they may come in succession.

Rolling Rush: The creature curls into a ball and rushes at you, potentially bouncing multiple times. When it hits a rock wall, it needs a few seconds to recover—use this window to land attacks.

Spit attack: A dark projectile fired from a distance, especially when you're far away. Dodge or move to the side to avoid it.

Head Bash: The creature bashes its head forward repeatedly. You can parry, block, or dodge these strikes. After the final bash, the creature remains in a vulnerable position for a brief moment, giving you time to attack.

Melting Spit: Halfway through the battle, the Corroded Scar Predator releases a large pool of corrosive spit at its feet that spreads outward. Attack from a distance or wait for the attack to finish before closing in again.

Backward Dash: If you position yourself behind the creature, it will rush backward toward you. Dodge out of the way to avoid taking damage.

Once you defeat the boss, return to Lise at MagMell to report your success. She'll acknowledge your capability but inform you that she has one final test for you.

Part 2: Defeat the Wandering Specter with Lise

After completing the first part, Lise will ask to accompany you on the second task. Accept her as your partner. Your next objective is to travel to the Sunken City Aquarium, located in the southern part of the Sunken City at the Mall Below the Pylon. If you've already visited this area during the main story, you should have a Mistle fast travel point available.

Upon arrival, enter the boss arena through the mist door. You'll face the Wandering Specter, a floating enemy that uses magical attacks. This encounter is similar to one you may have faced during Holly's Request, so the attack patterns should feel familiar.

Energy Blast: The Wandering Specter sends out a wave of energy from its staff directly in front of it. Dodge to avoid this attack, which can build up a Stone status effect on you if you remain in its aura. The creature uses this frequently while moving around the arena.

Energy Beams: Multiple beams of purplish energy fire directly at your location. Block or dodge these projectiles as they approach.

Vanishing Stab: The Wandering Specter teleports and appears mid-air, dashing toward you with its staff to cut you. Dodge, block, or parry this attack, then follow up with your own strikes.

Vanishing Smash: Similar to the stab, the creature teleports away and reappears behind you, attempting to slam its staff down. Dodge or parry this move, then close the distance to damage it.

Stabbing Strike: The Wandering Specter rushes forward from its standing position to stab you. Dodge or block this attack if you have enough stamina.

Floating Orbs: The creature teleports away and conjures yellow orbs above its head. These orbs fly at you two at a time. Use this opportunity to dodge and close the distance to the Specter.

After defeating the Wandering Specter, a cutscene plays out between you and Lise. She acknowledges your strength and accepts you as someone worthy of her sister's trust. You'll both return to MagMell.

Completing the Quest

Speak with Josée back at MagMell to finish the quest. You'll receive the Vanishing Hollow as a reward. Additionally, you'll forge a summoning pact with Lise, making her available as a recruitable partner. You also gain access to the Gula Bloodline: Lise Blood Code, which you can equip or master to unlock additional benefits.

Lise can be found in the Dining Hall of MagMell Base alongside her sister Josée. Her Link Trait, Forma Effect Duration Extended, increases how long Formae abilities remain active during combat. As you advance your bond with her, additional Partner Trait Bonuses become available, including Dexterity and Mind stat increases and a Max LP boost.
