Your gear choice in Roblox Cursed Gear determines your entire combat style, skill tree, and upgrade path. There are nine gears scattered across the map, and while most of them branch off from the Shibuya crossing, a couple require puzzle-solving, hidden buttons, and even wall-breaking to reach.
Quick answer: Five gears (Projector, Constructor, Manipulator, Executioner, Ravager) sit in a single shop near Shibuya crossing. Sensor requires pressing a hidden button in a nearby noodle restaurant. Usurper and Interceptor are inside Konga Mall behind a breakable door. Hydra is deep in the Undercity drainage behind destructible walls.

Projector, Constructor, Manipulator, Executioner, and Ravager Location
These five gears are the most accessible in the game because they all share one room. You can grab any of them without running across the entire map.
Step 1: Start at Shibuya Station and take the stairs up to the exit. Walk past the wagon and continue straight toward the Shibuya crossing.
Step 2: At the crossing, head down the street that runs between the two buildings displaying "Asura" on their billboards. Keep moving forward until you spot two stores with red signs on either side of the road.

Step 3: Slow down once you see the red-sign stores and turn right immediately after passing the scaffolding. Run through the alleyway until you reach a shop with neon green lettering.
Step 4: Enter the shop. All five gears — Projector, Constructor, Manipulator, Executioner, and Ravager — are displayed on separate tables inside. Walk up to the one you want and interact with it to claim your gear.

Sensor Location (Hidden Button Puzzle)
Sensor is near the same area as the five gears above, but picking it up involves a two-part unlock sequence that sends you back across the Shibuya crossing.
Step 1: Follow the same path toward the neon-green shop from the previous section, but instead of entering it, go into the noodle restaurant directly across the street.

Step 2: Inside the noodle restaurant, look behind the kitchen island. There is a button you need to press — this remotely unlocks a door elsewhere on the map.
Step 3: Return to the Shibuya crossing and take the first right turn onto the street paved with red bricks. You are on the correct side if you can see the Tech building ahead of you.
Step 4: Run all the way to the end of that street. Enter the door on the last building on the left side. This door only opens after you press the button in the noodle restaurant, so if it is still locked, go back and make sure you hit the button.
Step 5: Sensor is inside. Pick it up, and you are done.

Usurper and Interceptor Location (Konga Mall)
Usurper and Interceptor are both hidden inside Konga Mall, which requires you to break through a metal door to enter. The route starts at the Shibuya crossing once again.
Step 1: From the Shibuya crossing, look for the street marked by a large red sign that reads "Hotel." Head in that direction.

Step 2: On the left side of the red Hotel sign, there is an alleyway. Go straight through it until you reach Konga Mall.
Step 3: Enter Konga Mall and find the metal door located between some coolers. You need to attack the door to break it open — standard melee hits work.

Step 4: Once through the door, look to the left for an elevator. Step inside and ride it to the next floor.
Step 5: Walk straight ahead after exiting the elevator. Usurper is sitting on a table to the left. If you want Interceptor instead, open the door directly across from Usurper's table and grab it inside.

Hydra Location (Undercity Drainage)
Hydra is by far the hardest gear to reach. The path takes you through the Undercity drainage system, past hostile NPCs, and through multiple destructible walls. Bringing a friend to draw NPC aggro while you run can make this significantly easier.
Step 1: Go to Shibuya Station and take the glowing blue tunnel on the right side. This leads into the Undercity drainage area.

Step 2: Move straight through the drainage until you see a door on the left. Enter the room and press the yellow button to open an elevator door, then step inside the elevator and press the blue button.
Step 3: When the elevator opens, turn left and run straight through a small metal door. At the end of the tunnel, take another left.
Step 4: Continue forward until you reach a grassy field dotted with ruins. Count the walls on the left side and destroy the fifth one. You can use any attack to break it.

Step 5: You will enter a tomb-like tunnel lined with candles and pots. Now count the walls on the right side and destroy the third one.
Step 6: Take a left and keep going until you arrive in a grey room filled with boxes and tables. Hydra is on the table in the center of the room.

Switching Gears and Keeping Progress
If you pick a gear and later decide it does not fit your playstyle, you can switch freely. The gear you leveled up retains all of its EXP permanently, so nothing is lost. However, any new gear you equip starts at level one, meaning you will need to grind it up from the beginning. This makes it worth spending a few minutes thinking about your preferred combat style before committing — especially if you want to avoid re-leveling early on.

Every gear in Cursed Gear funnels through Shibuya Station and the surrounding streets, so once you learn the layout of the crossing and its branching paths, finding any of them becomes straightforward. Hydra is the only real exception, demanding a longer trek through the Undercity and some wall-breaking along the way. Whichever gear you pick, it locks in your combat identity for the foreseeable future, so choose the one that matches how you want to fight.
