Prune is a 4-star Anemo character whose design HoYoverse officially revealed ahead of her expected playable debut in Version 6.6 (Luna VII). Step 1: Teleport to the Millhaven Teleport Waypoint in Windrest Peak. Head southwest and go up the stairs until you reach a wooden signboard.
Step 2: Interact with the signboard and read through the dialogue. When prompted, choose the option labeled "Tear down this notice."
Step 3: After tearing the notice down, either fast-forward the in-game time or teleport to a different location and return. Prune will now be standing near the signboard, looking at it.
Location 2 — Klee's five doodles in Millhaven
The second encounter is also in Millhaven, but it requires you to track down five of Klee's Dodoco bomb doodles scattered across the area before Prune and Klee will appear together.
Step 1: Locate and interact with all five doodle spots in Millhaven. The doodles are spread across the sub-area, and there does not appear to be a strict order requirement — you simply need to visit all of them.
Step 2: After discovering all five doodles, change the in-game time or teleport away and return to the location of the fifth doodle. Prune and Klee will be standing in front of it, having a conversation about how to wash the doodle off.
Step 3: If Prune and Klee do not appear after you've found all five doodles, log out of the game completely and log back in. They should then spawn at the correct location. You can also try teleporting to a nearby Statue of The Seven and returning.
Location 3 — Dornman Port docks
Step 1: Teleport to the eastern Dornman Port Teleport Waypoint and head southwest toward the docks area.
Step 2: Look for Prune at the docks, where she is conversing with a nun named Philomena.
Step 3: If she isn't there, change the in-game time or log out and back in. She should then appear at the specified spot.
Recommended order for the hidden quest
While the game does not enforce a rigid sequence, player experience suggests a particular order avoids accidentally skipping hidden quest dialogue. Tear down the poster at the signboard first (Location 1), then find all five of Klee's doodles (Location 2). After Prune and Klee appear at the fifth doodle, Prune will eventually return to the message board to ask who tore off her poster, completing the hidden quest chain. The Dornman Port encounter (Location 3) appears to be independent and can be done at any time.
Relogging at the wrong moment — particularly before finishing the doodle steps — can cause Prune to appear at the signboard prematurely, which skips the quest progression. If you want the full experience, complete Locations 1 and 2 in order before relogging.
