Alphamon requirements (stat gates and rank)

Alphamon is a Mega‑tier Vaccine Digimon. To initiate its Digivolution, the source Digimon must meet all of the following:

Requirement Value / Condition
HP ≥ 2200
DEF ≥ 1580
SPI ≥ 1580
Agent Rank Rank 7 (unlocks Mega‑generation Digivolutions)
Eligible sources Grademon, DoruGreymon

Pick your source: DoruGreymon vs. Grademon

Both Grademon and DoruGreymon can evolve into Alphamon once the stat and rank gates are satisfied. If you want an easier time reaching the DEF and SPI thresholds, DoruGreymon generally trends bulkier than Grademon, which can make the final checks less stressful. That said, cumulative stats from prior forms add up quickly in Time Stranger, so pick the branch that best fits the roster you have in hand.

Routes to Grademon (Ultimate) from common Champions and Rookies

Grademon is an Ultimate that can be reached from several Champions. Work backward from what you have; below are the cleanest connections and their typical Rookie options.

Champion (becomes Grademon) Rookie options feeding that Champion
Raptordramon Agumon, Dorumon, Monodramon
Musyamon Kotemon, Shamamon, Zubamon
Cyclonemon Monodramon, Gizamon
Dinohyumon Kamemon, Kotemon, Hyokomon
ZubaEagermon Gizamon, Shoutmon, Zubamon

Notes:

  • Agumon is obtained from Koromon (Botamon → Koromon). Dorumon and Monodramon trace back to Dorimon (Dodomon → Dorimon).
  • Kotemon comes from Koromon; Shamamon from Tsumemon; Zubamon from Tsunomon.
  • Gizamon comes from Bukamon; Kamemon and Hyokomon originate from Bukamon and Yokomon respectively.

Routes to DoruGreymon (Ultimate) from common Champions and Rookies

DoruGreymon is another Ultimate that feeds directly into Alphamon. These are the straightforward Champion sources and their usual Rookie feeders:

Champion (becomes DoruGreymon) Rookie options feeding that Champion
Reppamon Kudamon, Ryudamon, Renamon
Growlmon Guilmon, Coronamon, Huckmon
Dorugamon Dorumon, Gazimon, Gabumon (Black)

Notes:

  • Kudamon originates from Nyaromon; Ryudamon and Renamon trace back to Tsunomon and Wanyamon respectively.
  • Guilmon comes from Koromon; Coronamon from Tokomon; Huckmon from Nyaromon.
  • Dorumon comes from Dorimon; Gazimon and Gabumon (Black) come from Pagumon and Tsumemon.

Hitting the numbers: efficient stat building and cost control

Meeting 2200 HP, 1580 DEF, and 1580 SPI on an Ultimate is realistic with a bit of cycling and training. These mechanics matter most:

  • Cumulative stats carry forward: When you Digivolve or De‑Digivolve, a portion of prior stats is retained as cumulative values (shown as blue numbers in the stat screen). Iterating evolutions builds toward hard checks without grinding a single form endlessly.
  • De‑Digivolve with intent: You can roll a Digimon back to a previous form at any time if the target is in your Field Guide or shares the same Personality. This keeps Talent, cumulative stats, and Bond intact, letting you re‑route into a different line while preserving progress.
  • Personality alignment reduces costs: Agent Skills discount Digivolution costs when current and target forms share a Personality. If you need to realign, use Digifarm training items that shift Personality toward the desired type before you evolve.
Tip: If you’re pushing for Alphamon from Grademon and find SPI lagging, a short detour—De‑Digivolve, run targeted training that raises SPI, then re‑evolve—can be faster than brute‑forcing levels.

Performing the Digivolution (menu flow and rank gate)

Time Stranger lets you evolve directly from your Digivice; there’s no special facility required:

  • Open the main menu, choose Digimon, then Digivolution.
  • Select Grademon or DoruGreymon once they meet the HP/DEF/SPI gates and you have Agent Rank 7.
  • Confirm the Alphamon branch to complete the evolution.

If the option is grayed out, recheck the three stat thresholds and your Agent Rank. Remember that equipment bonuses do not count toward Digivolution requirements.

What comes after Alphamon

Alphamon can advance to Alphamon Ouryuken by pairing with Ouryumon later in progression. If that’s on your roadmap, keep stacking cumulative stats and Talent now—the stronger your Alphamon, the smoother that final step.

Bottom line: choose the line you can build fastest with your box (DoruGreymon if you prefer a sturdier springboard), use De‑Digivolution loops and Digifarm Personality shifts to shore up DEF and SPI, and don’t forget the Rank 7 gate. Once your Ultimate clears 2200/1580/1580, Alphamon is a single menu confirmation away.
