How to Get Started in Anime Ghosts on Roblox — Currencies, Heroes, and World Progression

Anime Ghosts launched on Roblox on February 20, 2026, and it packs a dense set of progression systems into an anime-themed action RPG inspired by series like Attack on Titan. Between currencies, hero mutations, gacha spins, upgrade tokens, achievements, and world keys, the sheer number of icons on screen can feel overwhelming. Here's how every major system works and the order you should tackle them.

Quick answer: Redeem the code RELEASE in the Shop's Ticket/Coupon tab for free Tier 2 potions, then follow your quest line to kill enemies, spin for heroes at Scroll Statues, and funnel everything into raising your Energy stat — the single number that drives all meaningful progress.

Ghosts — The Primary Currency and How to Farm Them Fast

The main currency is simply called Ghost. You spend it on hero rolls, lobby upgrades, and unlocking new systems. Killing enemies is the baseline method of earning Ghosts, but the amount each enemy drops scales with its power level. Equipping your strongest heroes, avatars, and weapons before farming lets you defeat tougher enemies, which directly increases your Ghost income per kill.

The biggest passive boost to Ghost earnings comes from Vicious achievements, found under the Achievement tab (yellow star icon, left side of the screen). These achievements track cumulative time spent in-game and stack into a massive multiplier. The first two Vicious tiers each add 25% to your Ghost multiplier, the next two add 50% each, and the final tier adds 100%. That totals a +250% Ghost multiplier just for staying online. You don't need to actively grind — performing any action every few minutes prevents the AFK kick timer from removing you.

Tip: Running an autoclicker while idle simultaneously builds your Energy (through clicks) and accumulates Vicious time. It's the most efficient passive strategy in the game right now.

If you want Ghosts immediately, the Shop (red button on the left side of the screen) sells them for Robux. That's purely optional and only worth considering if you're trying to rush through early lobby unlocks.

Energy — The Core Stat That Drives All Progress

Energy is the real engine of Anime Ghosts. Displayed as a blue lightning bolt on the left side of the screen, your Energy level determines how much damage you deal and how quickly you advance. Nearly every upgrade system in the game feeds back into Energy in some way, so treat it as the single metric you're always trying to raise.

Heroes are the primary source of Energy multipliers. Rarer heroes provide a better energy-per-click multiplier, so acquiring Epic or Legendary units early makes a significant difference. You obtain heroes through Spins at Scroll Statues located at the start and end of each world. Heroes from later worlds are inherently stronger, so always spin on the furthest world you've unlocked.

Heroes can also spawn with special mutations. Shiny heroes collect Energy faster than their normal counterparts, and Radiant heroes — which are considerably rarer — provide an even larger Energy bonus. Don't sell your Shiny units. Collecting them also contributes to achievement milestones that grant permanent buffs.

Beyond heroes, several lobby-based upgrade systems feed into Energy:

  • Avatars are among the most impactful upgrades. A max-level Legendary avatar can reach a 27x Energy multiplier. Avatars level up by killing enemies, so they passively improve as you farm. Prioritize unlocking and spinning for avatars as soon as you can afford the Ghost cost in the lobby.
  • Weapons provide additional Energy multipliers when equipped. Even a low-rarity weapon is better than nothing — equip whatever you roll immediately.
  • Accessories, Passives, and Enchantments unlock progressively as you spend Ghosts in the lobby. Each system offers its own token-based gacha that can roll Energy boosts, damage boosts, or luck modifiers.

You earn the tokens for these systems by defeating enemies and completing raids. Speaking of raids, each world has a raid NPC that offers wave-based challenges on a 10-minute cooldown. Raids drop serum tokens, avatar tokens, weapon tokens, and potions — making them one of the most efficient token sources in the game.

Achievements — Free Permanent Multipliers You Shouldn't Ignore

The Achievement tab hides some of the strongest permanent buffs in Anime Ghosts, and many players overlook it. Beyond the Vicious time-played achievements mentioned above, there are several other categories worth tracking.

Pro Clicker achievements reward you for cumulative clicks. Since autoclicking is a common idle strategy, these tend to fill up passively. Each tier grants a permanent Energy multiplier. The Scroll Opening achievements unlock additional scroll-opening methods, which means faster summoning speed — a meaningful quality-of-life improvement. Dungeon achievements (reaching specific wave thresholds on Easy, Medium, and Hard difficulties) reward scroll luck bonuses and even extra hero equip slots at higher tiers.

Check the Achievement tab regularly. Rewards don't auto-claim, so you may have uncollected bonuses sitting there.

World Progression — Quests, World Keys, and When to Move On

Anime Ghosts currently has four worlds, and unlocking each new one follows the same pattern. Quests appear on the right side of the screen, highlighted in purple. Each world's quest chain requires you to kill a specific number of enemies unique to that area. Completing all quests in a world rewards a World Key, which you use to repair the broken portal at the end of the region and travel to the next one.

A common mistake is rushing to the next world before you've extracted enough value from the current one. Each world introduces its own gacha systems — Titan Serums in World 1, Alien Upgrades in World 2, Soul Foundation in World 3, and Hunter Ranks in World 4. Before moving on, try to max out (or at least heavily invest in) the current world's unique upgrade system, since those bonuses are permanent and compound with everything else.

A practical benchmark for World 1: aim to collect at least five copies of Levi from Scroll Statue spins before advancing. Levi's Energy multiplier is dramatically higher than other World 1 heroes (roughly 16x compared to around 4x for units like Mikasa), and Shiny Levi is even stronger.

The Index System — Small Bonuses That Add Up

The Index (accessible from the left side of the screen) tracks every unique enemy type you've defeated. Completing an entire world's enemy index grants a 5% permanent Energy bonus. It's not a dramatic gain on its own, but it stacks with everything else and costs nothing beyond killing enemies you'd be farming anyway. Make sure you've hit every enemy type in a world before leaving it behind.

Ascensions — Spending Souls to Scale Your Power

Souls accumulate as you kill enemies, and you spend them on Ascensions, which directly increase how much Energy you earn. Ascend every time you can, with one exception: if you're about to unlock a new world, reach it first and then ascend, since the new world's enemies yield more souls per kill.

A powerful shortcut exists in the current version of the game. Entering the Medium difficulty dungeon on the fourth world and killing even a single boss there awards an enormous amount of souls — enough to potentially max out your Ascension level in one run. This may be adjusted in a future patch, so take advantage of it while it's available.

Gems — The Premium Currency and How to Earn Them Free

Gems buy premium items in the Shop, including Starter Packs, Luck Boosts, and Inventory Storage expansions. There are three ways to get them without spending real money.

Weekly Rewards are the primary free source. Access them through the red calendar button on the right side of the screen. You can collect 50 Gems per day, but there's a catch — you must play for at least one hour before the daily reward becomes claimable. Simply logging in and logging out won't work.

Codes occasionally distribute Gems or other rewards. The launch code RELEASE grants a full set of Tier 2 potions. To redeem it, open the Shop via the button on the left side of the screen, navigate to the Ticket/Coupon tab, type the code exactly as shown, and hit Redeem. Keep an eye on the game's official Discord server for new codes after major updates.

Buying Gems with Robux through the Shop is the third option, but it's only worth considering if you're short on time and want specific Shop items immediately.

Traits and Serums — Equippable Buffs from Gacha Rolls

As you progress, you'll unlock gacha-style systems for Traits and world-specific items like Titan Serums. Traits are permanent once obtained — you keep every trait you roll and can swap between them freely from your Vault. Some traits boost damage, others boost scroll luck, and others affect Energy. Equip whichever matches your current activity (Energy traits for farming, luck traits for opening scrolls).

Titan Serums in World 1 deserve special attention. The Colossal Serum (Secret rarity) provides an 11x Energy multiplier, which is a game-changing early-game boost. Rolling for it costs 50,000 Ghosts per attempt. Even if you don't hit the Secret, lower-rarity serums still provide meaningful Energy multipliers worth equipping.

If you're considering spending Robux on game passes, the priority order is straightforward. 2x Energy is the single most impactful pass because it doubles the stat that drives everything. Extra Weapon Slot comes next, since equipping a second weapon stacks another Energy multiplier. 2x Ghost accelerates currency farming. After those three, everything else is a quality-of-life convenience rather than a power boost.

Putting It All Together — The Optimal Early-Game Loop

Redeem the RELEASE code, pop your potions, and follow the quest line in World 1. Kill Jaw Titans, Female Titans, and the rest of the required enemies. Once you reach the Colossal Giant boss at the end of the world, park yourself there and simultaneously auto-summon at the nearby Scroll Statue while your character fights the boss. This lets you farm Ghosts, earn tokens, gain Energy, and roll for heroes all at the same time.

Invest your Ghosts into unlocking Avatars and Weapons in the lobby as soon as possible. Run raids on cooldown for extra tokens. Check your Achievements tab frequently. Complete the World 1 Index. Once you have five Levi copies and a decent Titan Serum, grab your World Key and repeat the entire process in World 2 with its Alien Upgrades, then World 3 with Soul Foundation, and finally World 4 with Hunter Ranks and dungeons. The fourth world currently has no quest line for a fifth area — that content is expected in a future update.
