How to get Taichou and Timeskip Oikawa mastery in Volleyball Legends

Volleyball Legends now tracks mastery for two of its strongest Secret setter styles: Taichou and Timeskip Oikawa (often abbreviated TSO, and also seen as Timeskip Okazu in some references). This walkthrough covers how to access each mastery path, every challenge tier, and the rewards you earn along the way, plus what to know about TSO’s limited availability and spin odds.

Taichou mastery unlock requirements

You need to already own and equip the Taichou style. Open the Style Spin interface in-game; if your account is Level 15 or higher, a “View Mastery” button appears in the bottom-right. That panel shows your current tier, challenge progress, and unclaimed rewards.

Note: Mastery challenges can’t be started or progressed if the style isn’t unlocked on your account.

Timeskip Oikawa (TSO) availability and mastery access

TSO is a Secret rarity style obtained from the Style Gacha. On regular spins, the drop rate is 0.01%. Lucky Style Spins raise the drop rate to 0.5%. During a recurring 48‑hour weekend event, the Secret pity counter is halved to 100 Lucky Spins and the TSO drop rate increases to 1%. Lucky Spins can be acquired through limited-time event codes or purchased with Robux.

Availability can change. TSO is a limited style and has been removed from the spin pool in some updates. If it isn’t currently obtainable, you’ll have to wait for a reissue window or for trading features if those are introduced. Once you own it, equip the style and, at Level 15 or higher, open the Style Spin interface and select “View Mastery” to track progress.

Taichou vs. TSO: what changes in play

Taichou leans into a support-first setter role that powers up teammates’ spikes through strong setting and consistent defensive touches. TSO plays more like an offensive hybrid, with serve pressure and aggressive setting.

TSO’s Secret Special is Super Serve: during a toss, the power bar extends with a small rainbow zone at the end; hit that window to trigger the effect. A successful Super Serve briefly knocks the receiver back and stuns them on the floor, then sends the ball off in a sharp arc influenced by the receiver’s position. Kimiro’s Super Dive is a direct counter and prevents both the stun and erratic return.

FAQ essentials

  • What level do I need to start mastery? Level 15 or higher is required to view and progress mastery challenges for Secret styles.
  • Do mastery challenges reset? No. Completed tiers and claimed rewards persist across updates and level changes.
  • What if I missed Taichou or TSO? These are limited Secret styles. If they’re not currently in the spin pool, you’ll need to wait for a reissue event or rely on trading systems if those arrive in a future update.

Once you meet the level and ownership requirements, the mastery panel in Style Spin becomes your to-do list. Work through the tiers in any order, claim rewards as they unlock, and watch for weekend spin events if you’re still chasing TSO.
