How to Get the Shakesguin Skin in Knockout on Roblox

Shakesguin is one of the rarest penguin skins in Knockout on Roblox, and it cannot be purchased directly with Hearts, Robux, or Ice. It's exclusively available as a drop from the Love Crate, a special item tied to the game's Valentine's Event. With only a 1 percent chance of appearing when you open one, landing this skin takes either serious persistence or extraordinary luck.

Quick answer: You can only get Shakesguin by opening a Love Crate during a match. The crate has a 1% chance of dropping the skin. There is no other way to obtain it.

What the Love Crate is and how to spawn one

The Love Crate doesn't appear on its own during matches. You need to trigger it by purchasing a Start Love Crate Event from the Valentine's Event shop, which costs either 20 Hearts or 79 Robux. Once purchased, a crate spawns somewhere on the map during your current match. You then need to knock the crate off the map — the same way you'd knock another penguin — to open it and receive a random reward.

If you get the crate by physically knocking it off the edge yourself, it opens immediately, and you receive your reward on the spot. Buying the event simply spawns the crate; you still have to interact with it in-game to claim whatever's inside.

Love Crate drop rates

Every time a Love Crate is opened, it rolls from a fixed loot table. The possible rewards and their chances break down like this:

RewardDrop rate
5 Hearts38%
20 Hearts28%
Heart Candy Arrow20%
50 Hearts13%
Shakesguin skin1%

The vast majority of crate openings will give you Hearts or the Heart Candy Arrow. Statistically, you'd need to open around 100 crates on average before seeing Shakesguin, though randomness means it could take far fewer or far more attempts.

How to earn Hearts to keep opening crates

Since each Start Love Crate Event costs 20 Hearts (or Robux if you prefer to spend real money), you'll want a steady supply of the event currency. Hearts can be collected in three main ways during the Valentine's Event.

Picking them up on the map. Hearts spawn at random locations during matches and are visible to all players. Walk over them to collect. This is the most straightforward method, though you'll be competing with other players for the same pickups.

Love Crate rewards themselves. Even when you don't hit the 1% Shakesguin drop, the crate frequently gives back Hearts — 5, 20, or 50 at a time. This partially offsets the cost of triggering the next crate, though you'll rarely break even on a single opening.

Online time rewards. The Valentine's Event shop has a progress bar at the bottom that fills up as you spend time in the game. Reaching certain thresholds lets you claim batches of Hearts. This works even if you're idle, making it the lowest-effort way to accumulate currency over time.

Accessing the Valentine's Event shop

When you load into the Knockout lobby, look for a penguin standing on a red, heart-decorated platform. Interacting with this NPC opens the Valentine's Event shop, where you can spend Hearts or Robux on event-exclusive items. The shop restocks every hour, with a visible countdown timer showing when the next refresh happens.

The full shop inventory includes the Start Love Crate Event (20 Hearts / 79 Robux), Heart Candy Arrow (30 Hearts / 199 Robux), Chocolate Arrow (50 Hearts / 379 Robux), Teddyguin skin (250 Hearts / 799 Robux), and Agent Loveguin skin (500 Hearts / 1,499 Robux). Only the Start Love Crate Event matters for getting Shakesguin — the other items are separate purchases.

Other Valentine's Event skins you can't get from the crate

Shakesguin is listed alongside Teddyguin and Agent Loveguin as Valentine's Event skins in Knockout, but those two work differently. Teddyguin costs 250 Hearts or 799 Robux and is bought directly from the event shop. Agent Loveguin costs 500 Hearts or 1,499 Robux and is also a direct purchase. Neither of these comes from the Love Crate.

There are also three limited Robux bundles available from a separate NPC located between the Skin Shop and the Wheel in the lobby. Romeoguin (99 Robux), Angelguin (499 Robux), and Knightguin (2,499 Robux) each include a skin, a title, and a unique arrow. The Knightguin bundle has a hard cap of 10,000 units, so it will eventually sell out permanently.

How to confirm you got Shakesguin

When the Love Crate rolls Shakesguin, the skin is awarded immediately after the crate is knocked off the map. You'll see the reward displayed on screen during the match. The skin then appears in your penguin inventory and can be equipped from the Skin Shop in the lobby like any other cosmetic. Like all skins in Knockout, Shakesguin is purely visual and provides no gameplay advantage.

The Valentines Event shop and its associated items are available for a limited time. Once the event ends, the Love Crate — and with it, the only path to Shakesguin — will likely disappear. If you want this skin, the window to grind for it is now.
