  1. Type browser.urlbar.update2.engineAliasRefresh in the Search bar at the top and you should see that the value is set to 'True'. If it is not, click on the toggle on the right to set it to true.

  1. Then click on 'Settings' in the dropdown menu.
  1. Click on 'Search' on the left.
  1. Scroll down and click on the 'Add' button.
  1. Type in a name for the search engine you want to add, such as ChatGPT in the name field and paste the following in the URL field: https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s&hints=search. Type @ChatGPT in the 'Alias' field and click on the 'Add Engine' button.
  1. Next scroll back up, click on the 'Default Search Engine' dropdown, and select ChatGPT.
  1. Now, when you search for something in the address bar or search box, Firefox should perform the search using ChatGPT by default.

  1. Open Firefox on Android and tap the three dots at the top right.
  2. Then tap on 'Settings'.

  2. Then tap on 'Default search engine'.
  1. Next, tap on '+ Add search engine'.
  2. Type ChatGPT in the Name field and https://chatgpt.com/?q=%s&hints=search in the URL field before clicking on the 'Save' button.
  1. Now, tap on ChatGPT on the 'Default Search Engine' page to set it as the default search engine.
  2. When you search for anything in Firefox now, it will use ChatGPT to perform the search.
