Swing Obby for Brainrots drops you onto a platform with a base, a void below, and a series of hooks stretching out into an increasingly treacherous obstacle course. Your job is to swing from hook to hook — think Spider-Man, but with brainrot characters waiting on distant platforms — grab those units, and haul them back to your base before their despawn timers run out. Every brainrot you place down starts generating cash automatically, and that cash fuels upgrades, rebirths, and the pursuit of rarer and rarer units.
Quick answer: Swing to platforms using the spacebar, pick up brainrots, return them to your base to earn passive income, then spend that income on Power, Reach, and Carry upgrades at the Upgrade Shop in the starting zone.

Swinging Controls and Core Loop
The controls are straightforward. Press spacebar near a hook to latch on, then use W and D (or your movement keys) to rock back and forth and build momentum. Press spacebar again to release and launch yourself toward the next hook or platform. The game has a generous amount of aim assist, so connecting to hooks is fairly forgiving — even on mobile. You can also loop around a hook in a full 360 to build extra momentum before releasing.
Each platform in the obby has a Luck multiplier attached to it. Early platforms sit at 1x or 2.5x Luck, while the final zone at the far end of the map reaches 1,000x Luck. Higher Luck means better brainrots that generate significantly more money per second. The catch is that gaps between hooks get wider and obstacles get nastier the further you go. Red walls appear in later zones, and hitting one sends you straight back to the start — losing any brainrot you were carrying.

Upgrade Shop — Power, Reach, and Carry
The Upgrade Shop sits in the middle of the starting safe zone. Walk up to it, and a menu appears with three stats you can improve using the cash your brainrots generate.
| Upgrade | What It Does | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Power | Increases swing force and launch speed | Resets to default on Rebirth |
| Reach (Distance) | Lets you latch onto hooks that are farther away | Required to meet Rebirth thresholds |
| Carry | Raises the number of brainrots you can hold at once | Starts at 1; upgrade early for efficiency |
Early on, grab a few basic brainrots from the nearest platforms, place them at your base, and let them accumulate some cash before spending on upgrades. Once you have enough Power and Reach, you can swing deeper into the obby to collect units from higher Luck zones. Be careful with very high Power, though — overshooting a platform and flying into the void is a common way to lose a valuable brainrot you just picked up.

How Rebirth Works
The Rebirth button is on the left side of the screen. Each Rebirth requires you to hit a specific Reach Distance threshold, which means you need to have upgraded your Reach stat enough before you can trigger it. Once you Rebirth, two things happen: you gain a permanent cash multiplier on your base (so all brainrots earn more), and your Speed and Reach stats reset to their defaults.
The most efficient early strategy is to focus almost entirely on upgrading Reach, trigger a Rebirth as soon as you qualify, then immediately re-upgrade Reach and Rebirth again. This cycle can be repeated rapidly in the early game — some players reach Rebirth 10 or higher within the first session. The cash multiplier compounds with each Rebirth, so even though you lose your stats temporarily, the long-term income gain is substantial. Rebirthing also unlocks additional brainrot slots in your base, giving you room to place more units.

Upgrading Individual Brainrots
Once a brainrot is placed at your base, you can level it up by clicking the banner in front of it. Each level costs money and increases how much that unit earns per second. There is no confirmed maximum level — players have pushed units past level 300 and beyond without hitting a cap. The income scaling is dramatic: a brainrot from the 1,000x Luck zone starting at billions per second can reach trillions or more with enough levels pumped into it.
A practical approach is to avoid dumping all your cash into a common brainrot from the 1x zone. Instead, push as far into the obby as your stats allow, grab the best unit you can find, bring it home, and then invest your upgrade money into that one. The base income of a unit from a high Luck zone is so much higher that even a few levels will outpace a maxed-out common unit.
All 62 Brainrots
The game currently features 62 collectible brainrot characters. The developers have been adding new ones with updates, so this roster will likely grow. You can track your collection progress using the in-game Index, which shows which units you own and which are still missing. Completing entries in the Index also grants small Power bonuses, though those reset on Rebirth.

Mutation Types and Why They Matter
Any brainrot can spawn as a mutated variant. Mutations are significantly rarer than normal units but earn far more money — the income difference is massive, especially in the late game. There are eight mutation tiers currently in the game.
| Mutation | Rarity Tier |
|---|---|
| Golden | Common mutation |
| Diamond | Uncommon mutation |
| Emerald | Mid-tier mutation |
| Ruby | Mid-tier mutation |
| Rainbow | Rare mutation |
| Void | Very rare mutation |
| Ethereal | Ultra-rare mutation |
| Celestial | Highest-tier mutation |
A blimp floating above the map displays countdown timers for guaranteed spawns of certain rarity tiers, including Void, Godly, and Divine units. If you join a server where one of these timers is close to zero, it's worth waiting around for the spawn rather than immediately heading into the obby.
If you spot a mutated brainrot on any platform, grab it immediately. Even a mutated version of a low-tier brainrot from an early zone will outperform many normal units from higher Luck platforms once you start leveling it up.

Expanding Your Base
You start with a single floor at your base. Additional floors are unlocked by stepping on green pressure plates near your base, each of which costs money. More floors mean more slots for brainrots, which directly translates to higher passive income. The cost increases with each floor, so balance your spending between base expansion, stat upgrades, and brainrot leveling.
Trading
Swing Obby for Brainrots launched with a trading system from the start. You can trade brainrots with other players in your server, which is useful for acquiring units from zones you can't reach yet or for swapping duplicates for mutations you need.
The core progression loop in Swing Obby for Brainrots is satisfying once you understand it: swing far, grab the best brainrot you can, bring it home, level it up, Rebirth for the multiplier, and repeat. Focus your early game on rapid Rebirths to stack cash multipliers, then shift to hunting mutations on the farthest platforms once your stats are high enough to reach the 500x and 1,000x Luck zones consistently.
