THE LIMBO is one of the most rewarding — and most annoying to unlock — locations in Sol's RNG. Tucked behind a multi-step quest chain and a set of cryptic candle puzzles, this dark void dimension is the only place you can roll for some of the rarest auras in the game, including Nyctophobia at a staggering 1 in 1,011,111,010 chance. Most Overworld buffs are disabled here, so you'll need Forbidden Potions and Void Hearts to boost your luck instead.
Quick answer: Finish Stella's second quest to get the Glass Candle Recipe, craft the Glass Candle at the Stella Cauldron, then light all four candles in the hidden Limbo Room to open the portal.

Stella's Second Quest — Prerequisites and Aura Requirements
Before you can touch any candles, you need to complete Stella's second quest. The prerequisites are straightforward: finish Stella's first Portal quest and have at least 10,000 total rolls on your account. Once both conditions are met, interact with Stella again to start the Glass Candle Recipe quest.
Stella will ask you to collect a specific set of auras. Using luck-boosting potions like Warp, Heavenly, Godlike, or Oblivion will speed this up significantly.
| Aura | Quantity Needed | Chance per Roll |
|---|---|---|
| Ink | 30 | 1 in 700 (any biome) |
| Ash | 20 | 1 in 2,300 (any biome) |
| LEAK | 13 | 1 in 14,000 (any biome) |
| Undefined | 1 | 1 in 1,111,000 (NULL biome only) |
After turning in all four aura sets, Stella hands over the Glass Candle Recipe. Head to the Stella Cauldron and craft the Glass Candle using the recipe plus a Jester Candle or Null. The Glass Candle is permanent — it never gets consumed.

Reaching the Candle Room
With the Glass Candle in your inventory, go to the Cave area near the Stella Sanctuary and complete the hidden obby inside. At the end, you'll find a wall with the Unnamed Entity on it. Place your Glass Candle and interact with the eye that appears. This opens the way into the Limbo Room, where four sets of unlit candles sit in the center. Light all four and a portal to THE LIMBO spawns.
The candles can be lit in any order, and once a candle is lit, it stays lit permanently — even if you leave the server.

How to Light All Four Candles
Step 1 (Candle 1 — NULL Idle): Wait for a NULL biome to become active on the server. When it does, re-enter the candle room, turn off your auto-roll, and stand near Candle 1 without rolling for 20 seconds. If you were already in the room when NULL started, leave and come back in. The candle should light after the 20-second wait.
Step 2 (Candle 2 — Symbol Hunt): Activate the TRUE VISION buff from your Glass Candle first — it stays active even when other buffs are disabled. You then need to find and touch hidden symbols on the walls of the cave. There are eight possible spawn locations, but only a few are active per server. Hug the walls at each location; even if the symbol doesn't visibly glow, touching it still counts. Keep going until you've activated all the required symbols (typically three), and Candle 2 will light.
Step 3 (Candle 3 — Black Torch): Pick up the torch located in front of the Cave Obby. Before or after grabbing it, equip a NULL-type aura — Undefined, [ Nihility ], Shift lock, or Defined all work. Within a few seconds the torch flame should turn from orange to black. If it doesn't change after about 10 seconds, unequip and re-equip your aura. Once the flame is black, walk to Candle 3, and it will light.
Step 4 (Candle 4 — NULL Resonance): You need the NULL Resonance buff active. Obtain a NULL? item (these drop randomly during the NULL biome and can be auto-collected with VIP+) and offer it to the Grail of Resonance at the top of the mountain. With the buff running, Candle 4 lights up. Be aware that disabling buffs will snuff this candle out, though you can re-light it simply by re-enabling buffs. Stacking other biome resonances on top of NULL Resonance resets the timer to one hour, which is useful if the buff is about to expire.
Once all four candles are burning, the portal to THE LIMBO appears. Step through to enter "The Timeless Land."

Getting Around THE LIMBO (and Getting Out)
THE LIMBO is a pitch-dark void with grey-blue floating islands connected by broken stone bridges. Torches line the pathways, and the islands are dotted with boulders and oversized fungi instead of trees. Visibility is extremely low.
Falling into the void triggers a sequence of dialogue lines. You can fall four times safely, but the fifth fall kicks you back to Sol's Island. The messages go: "[... ]" → "[..... ]" → "[ You don't belong here... ]" → "[ Fine. ]" → teleport out. If you want to return after being ejected, use a Portable Crack.
All Auras Available in THE LIMBO
Only Limbo-exclusive and NULL biome auras can be rolled here. Overworld auras are completely locked out. Four Sol's Island auras — Undefined, -FLOWED-, Shift lock, and [ Nihility ] — carry over with their native rarity. Everything else on the list below is exclusive to this dimension.
| Aura | Chance | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|
| Nothing | 1/1 (100%) | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Undefined | 1/1,111 | Roll (also on Sol's Island) |
| -FLOWED- | 1/2,121 | Roll (also on Sol's Island) |
| Shift lock | 1/3,325 | Roll (also on Sol's Island) |
| [ Nihility ] | 1/9,000 | Roll (also on Sol's Island) |
| Raven | 1/500,000 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Gothic (ゴシック) | 1/1,000,001 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Anima | 1/5,730,000 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| {Juxtaposition} | 1/40,440,400 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Raven: Plague | 1/200,000,000 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Unknown (glitched) | 1/444,444,444 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Elude | 1/555,555,555 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| PROLOGUE | 1/666,616,111 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| dreamscape | 1/850,000,000 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Nyctophobia | 1/1,011,111,010 | Roll (Limbo exclusive) |
| Eden | NPC spawn: 1/50,000 every 2 min | Give 1 Void Heart + 1 Darklight Core to Eden NPC |
Eden is a special case. The Eden NPC, described as the "consumer of voids," has a 1 in 50,000 chance of spawning every two minutes inside THE LIMBO. When it appears, a cutscene plays. Hand over one Void Heart and one Darklight Core to receive the Eden aura.

Limbo-Exclusive Items and Buffs
Three crafting materials drop exclusively inside THE LIMBO: Darklight Shard, Darklight Orb, and Darklight Core. These are used to craft Forbidden Potions and Void Hearts, which are your primary buff sources in this dimension since most Overworld buffs are blocked. Gear buffs and the ??? buff still function normally.
The Item Collector and VIP+ gamepass both auto-collect these drops, making AFK farming viable. However, you must physically be inside THE LIMBO for collection to work — standing on Sol's Island or anywhere else won't pick them up.
NPCs in THE LIMBO — Dave and Eden
Dave sits on a rock in THE LIMBO and offers five sequential quests. Completing each one rewards Limbo-exclusive items, book pieces for Dave's Book, and stacking "Dave's Hope" effects that increase your luck. Combined with Forbidden Potions, these buffs actually give you more luck than a typical Overworld setup on Sol's Island — despite the buff restrictions.
The Eden NPC, as mentioned above, spawns rarely and requires specific items to interact with. Keep Void Hearts and Darklight Cores on hand, so you're ready if the cutscene triggers.

Server Animations in THE LIMBO
Rolling a rare aura in THE LIMBO triggers monochrome versions of the standard Sol's Island server animations. The LEGENDARY, MYTHIC, and EXALTED tiers all use grey-toned variants of their Overworld counterparts with the same sound effects. The GLORIOUS animation is unique — it fills the entire map with heavy grey fog, briefly turns everything white, shakes the camera, and spawns beacons of light, white galaxies, and black glitch particles above the void.
Players in THE LIMBO cannot see aura roll messages from Sol's Island, and vice versa. The one exception is GLORIOUS and TRANSCENDENT server effects from Sol's Island, which still play visually inside THE LIMBO.
THE LIMBO is a long-term farming destination. Between the quest chain to unlock it, the restricted buff system, and aura odds that stretch into the billions, it's designed for committed players chasing the rarest rolls in Sol's RNG. Stock up on Forbidden Potions, complete Dave's quests for stacking luck bonuses, and keep an eye out for that Eden NPC spawn.
