How to Stay Undetected on the Yacht's Deck in Disruption in Black Ops 7 for the Spectral Trophy

The Spectral achievement in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 sits inside the co-op campaign mission Disruption, and it is stricter than its one-line description suggests. You are not just crossing a single open deck; you need to remain undetected for the entire yacht section, from the initial boarding to the cutscene at the end of the interior corridor.

That means no spotted alerts, no guards seeing your body, and no sloppy angles. The good news: the path is consistent, and with a sniper rifle and invisibility (active camouflage), you can turn what looks like a chaotic multi-deck arena into a short, controlled corridor.

What Spectral Actually Requires In Disruption

First, it helps to be clear about what the achievement is tracking on this mission:

Requirement What It Means In Practice
Stay undetected on the yacht No guards can visually spot you at any point during the entire yacht segment.
Segment scope From initial approach on the deck, through the hatch into the lower level, until the final door triggers a cutscene.
Combat limits Stealth kills and silenced/sniper shots are fine as long as they do not trigger detection.

There is no need to pick up intel or optional items for Spectral. If you do not specifically need a Self-Revive or a different weapon, you can ignore side paths and focus on the cleanest line through guards.

You can complete this segment with standard mission gear, but a few choices make it more forgiving:

Element Recommendation Reason
Primary weapon Sniper rifle One-shot headshots, reliable range, and penetration for multi-kills through heads.
Secondary weapon Quiet, accurate rifle or SMG Backup in case you need a quick follow-up on a close guard.
Ability Invisibility / active camouflage Lets you reposition or execute high-risk shots near clustered guards.
Tip: Treat invisibility as a limited get-out-of-jail tool. You will use it twice in critical spots: once near the talking guards on the deck, and once in the lower corridor where a guard waits around the corner.

Step 1: Clear The Left Staircase And First Patrol

The yacht segment opens with a broad, multi-lane deck in front of you. The right side is busier, and the central lane has overlapping sightlines. For Spectral, you want to hug the left-hand side and thin out only the enemies who directly block your progress.

Action Position Detail
Initial angle Far left of the deck Move left immediately after gaining control to get away from clustered center guards.
First target Guard by left staircase Use your sniper rifle to quietly headshot the guard stationed near the base or side of the left stairs.
Advance Up the small staircase After the first guard drops, walk up the short stair set. Stay low and watch for a patrolling guard ahead.
Second target Patrol ahead of the stairs Wait until the patrolling guard turns his back, then take a clean sniper headshot while he is facing away.

Do not rush this opening. The main way to fail here is firing while the patrol is at an angle where central guards can see the body fall. Wait for the full turn and a clear line of sight before you shoot.

Step 2: Use The Glass Walkway Instead Of The Upper Stairs

After the second guard, you will see options to move up again or take a glass walkway that cuts across part of the deck. The upper stairs route exposes you to more enemy cones of vision; the glass path keeps you low and to the edge.

Action Timing Risk Level
Skip the main staircase up Immediately after dropping the patrol Avoids additional guards with overlapping sightlines above.
Turn left onto glass walkway As soon as the path opens to your left Moves you into a narrower lane with fewer enemies watching.
Eliminate walkway guard When the guard is stationary Take a single headshot on the guard standing on the walkway; ensure no one else on the right is looking your way.

From here, keep walking the glass path forward. You will stay primarily on the left side of the yacht. The right-hand pockets usually hold guards in pairs, which are harder to isolate cleanly if you leave the recommended route.

Step 3: Deal With The Two Talking Guards Near The Door

The end of the glass walkway is where the run gets tense. Two guards stand near a door ahead, talking to each other. Their position is tight enough that moving around them risks being spotted, but your sniper rifle can turn them into a single bullet problem.

Step Execution Detail Why It Matters
Prepare invisibility Do not proceed until your invisibility/active camo ability is available. Gives you cover while you line up the shot close to two enemies.
Activate invisibility Turn it on just before you step out from cover onto the open deck past the glass walkway. Reduces the risk that a stray glance or awkward angle triggers detection.
Align the double headshot Place your crosshair on the head of the closer guard and wait until the second guard’s head lines up directly behind it. Your sniper rounds can penetrate, letting one bullet kill both guards if their heads are aligned.
Take the shot Fire once when both heads are in a straight line. Do not spam shots. Minimizes noise and keeps the window of potential detection extremely short.

Once both guards drop, you have a clean route to the nearby door. Move straight inside to leave the exposed deck behind.

Step 4: Enter The Hatch And Drop To The Lower Level

Inside the doorway, the path to the next phase of the mission sits almost immediately to your right: a hatch leading down into the ship’s interior. You do not need to explore side rooms here for Spectral.

Action Location Note
Find the hatch Just inside the door, on your right Interact with it as soon as you step in; no need to push deeper into this upper room.
Drop into hallway Directly below the hatch Landing puts you in a corridor with a guard visible at the far end.
Wait on the landing Stay near the hatch for a moment Watch the guard’s pattern; he will eventually turn left and walk away.

Do not sprint down the hallway the moment you land. The guard at the end can easily turn mid-move and catch you. Stay patient and let his route create an opening.

Step 5: Clear The Hallway Guard And Bypass The Engine Room Duo

Once the guard at the far end turns left and walks away from you, that is your cue to move. Your goal is to slip into the door he was standing next to without raising any suspicion and then deal with the next isolated enemy inside.

Sequence Action Detection Risk
1 Walk down the hallway as the guard turns away and goes left. Low, as long as you move quickly enough that he does not turn back mid-run.
2 Slip through the door he was next to. Low, since he has left the doorway behind him.
3 Snipe the next guard when his back is turned inside this area. Moderate; ensure no one else has line of sight before firing.
4 Walk through the engine room where two guards are working, leaving them alive. Low if you stay behind them and do not linger in their peripheral vision.

The two guards in the engine room are scripted to work with their backs turned. You do not need to eliminate them for Spectral, and in fact, shooting them risks stray detection from angles you cannot fully control. Simply walk past them, keeping your movement quiet and direct.

Step 6: Use Invisibility On The Corner Guard

Beyond the engine room, there is a hallway that looks inviting but hides an immediate threat: a guard posted right around the next left-hand turn. Walking into that corner without preparation is one of the easiest ways to fail the achievement.

Step What To Do Safer Option
Check invisibility cooldown Before approaching the left-hand turn, confirm your invisibility ability is ready again. Wait in a safe area if it is still recharging.
Approach the corner Move up to just before you would expose yourself to the guard’s line of sight. Do not strafe out yet; you want to be ready to cloak.
Activate invisibility Turn it on, then step out into the guard’s lane and line up a headshot. Shoot while cloaked to reduce the risk of any brief detection.
Alternate (riskier) option Peek quickly and snap a headshot without invisibility. Only consider this if you are confident in very fast aim.
Tip: It is better to spend invisibility here than later. Past this point, you are almost at the end of the yacht’s stealth section.

Step 7: Takedown The Final Pair And Trigger The Cutscene

The last stretch combines one patrolling guard and one stationary guard in a side room. You need both dead or neutralized without any alert to complete the stealth requirement.

Enemy Position Recommended Action
Patrolling guard Walking up and down a hallway with his back turned to you at predictable intervals. Move in when his back is fully turned and perform a melee stealth takedown.
Stationary guard Standing in a conference-style room off the hallway, near a corner. After the patrol is down, position safely in the doorway or inside the room and finish him with a sniper headshot.

Once both guards are down, proceed straight through the next main door in front of you. Passing through this door triggers a cutscene. If you remained undetected the entire time—no alerts, no guards visibly spotting you—the Spectral achievement or trophy unlocks as the scene begins.

The Disruption yacht section looks like an elaborate stealth sandbox, but for Spectral, you are really following a narrow, reliable spine of encounters. Stay on the left, trust your sniper rifle, reserve invisibility for the two critical choke points, and resist the urge to over-clear every guard you see. With that mindset, sneaking across the yacht’s deck in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 becomes a short, repeatable route rather than a fragile, one-off run.
