The Glacial Dummy Outfit is one of two free skins tucked inside the Winterfest 2025 lodge in Fortnite. It belongs to the Frozen Series and is part of the Snow Dummy set, and the only way to get it is by opening presents during the event window.
When Glacial Dummy is available during Winterfest 2025
Winterfest 2025 runs from December 18, 9 AM ET, until January 5, 9 AM ET. During this period, you can open one Winterfest present per day inside the lodge.
Glacial Dummy is not available from day one. It only unlocks after you have opened seven other presents. Because you are limited to a single present each day, that requirement lines up with December 25. In practice, that means Glacial Dummy becomes claimable on Christmas Day for anyone who has opened a present every day since the event started.
Missing days matters this year. The presents do not stack into extra daily openings. If you skip a day, you simply lose that day’s opening and will reach the seven-present threshold later, which delays when you can take Glacial Dummy.
Where Glacial Dummy is in the Winterfest lodge
The Winterfest lodge contains 14 presents split into two piles on the left and right sides of the room, plus a tree with gifts underneath. Two tall green presents on the left side contain the event’s free skins: Glacial Dummy and Cheeks.
Glacial Dummy is the large green present on the left side of the lodge, positioned at the back of that pile. Cheeks is the large green present on the right. You cannot open either of these until you meet their respective conditions, but you can hover over and “shake” them at any time.
How to unlock Glacial Dummy
Step 1: Launch Fortnite and enter any Battle Royale mode. From the main lobby screen, look for the Winterfest entry point (often represented by a snowflake or lodge button) and select it to enter the Winterfest lodge.
Step 2: Once inside the lodge, start opening any presents that are available. You can choose gifts from either side of the room; it does not matter which specific items you take as long as you open one present per day.
Step 3: Continue returning daily and opening one present until your total reaches seven opened gifts. The game tracks this automatically; there is no separate counter you must enable.
Step 4: After seven presents have been opened, re-enter the lodge and move to the left-hand pile of gifts. Highlight the tall green present at the back of the stack labeled with the Glacial Dummy reward.
Step 5: Open that green present to claim the Glacial Dummy Outfit. The skin is added to your locker instantly and can be used in Battle Royale and other supported modes like any other Outfit.
Glacial Dummy vs. the original Dummy skin
Glacial Dummy is a separate Outfit, not a selectable style for the original Dummy skin. It is tagged in-game as a Frozen Series Outfit and is part of the Snow Dummy set, with its own cosmetic ID and locker entry. Owning one does not automatically grant the other.
Because Glacial Dummy comes from Winterfest presents, it is obtained through event participation rather than V-Bucks or a cash bundle. The original Dummy has historically rotated through the item shop, while Glacial Dummy is tied specifically to Winterfest 2025’s present system.
All Winterfest 2025 presents that gate the free skins
The lodge holds 14 rewards in total. Most are accessories such as Back Blings, Pickaxes, a glider, a wrap, emotes, a contrail, and a jam track. Two of them are full skins: Glacial Dummy and Cheeks.

All non-skin gifts can be opened in any sequence you like. Only Glacial Dummy and Cheeks check how many presents you have already opened.
Event timing and what happens if you start late
Winterfest 2025 runs for 19 days, from December 18 through January 5. There are 14 presents in the lodge. In theory, that gives enough time to open all 14 even if you miss several days.
However, the “one present per day” rule never lifts. You cannot open multiple presents to catch up if you have not logged in for a while. If you want Glacial Dummy specifically, you must reach seven opened gifts before the event ends. For Cheeks, you must reach 13.
How Glacial Dummy appears in your locker
After opening the Glacial Dummy present, the Outfit appears in your locker under Outfits as “Glacial Dummy” with the Frozen Series rarity tag. It is listed as part of the Snow Dummy set and uses its own entry and icon art.
You can equip Glacial Dummy with any Back Bling, Pickaxe, wrap, or other cosmetic you own. It is usable across Fortnite’s supported modes where normal Outfits are allowed, including standard Battle Royale and Zero Build.
