The ElevenLabs Reader AI Audio app is available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store and you can download and install it for free on your iOS or Android device.

  1. Once you've installed the app and created an account, you will reach the Welcome screen. Tap on the 'Get Started' button.
  2. On the next page, you will have to choose how you intend to use the app. Tap on the option you want to select.
  1. Then select the type of content you wish to listen to using the app. You can select multiple options here. Once you're done, tap on the 'Next' button.
  2. On the next page, select your age group by tapping on it from among the various options.
  1. Now, you will get the option to choose from different voices which will be used for reading the text aloud. To select a voice, tap on it and then tap on the 'Next' button. You will get four options to choose from here, though you can choose from several other voices later on. The four voices available at the start include:
    • Brian - Middle-aged American Male
    • Lily - Middle-aged British Female
    • George - Middle-aged British Male
    • Matilda - Middle-aged American Female
  1. Once you've selected a voice, you will reach the home page. Here, you'll find a few documents you can listen to. If you want to add your own documents, tap on the '+' button.
  1. You can write text, paste a link to a document, import a file, or scan a document to listen to it. Tap on the option you want to select.
  2. If you choose to import a file, navigate to where it is located on your device and tap to select it. Wait for the document to finish uploading. Depending on the file size, it can take some time. Once the document is uploaded, tap on the 'Play' button to start listening to the document.
  1. You can move to a different section of the document by simply scrolling to it and double-tapping on it. To pause the narration, tap on a blank section of the document and then on the 'Pause' button.
  2. You can also change the voice while listening to a text by tapping on the 'Voices' button on the bottom left.
  1. This will bring up a list of all available voices, and you can tap on any of them to select them. You can also preview the voice by tapping on the small play button next to each voice.
  2. Additionally, you can move forward, go back, or even change the speed of the narration using the buttons at the bottom.
  1. Finally, you can delete a document by tapping on the three dots inside a circle at the top right and then on the bin icon.
