Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road crossplay and cross‑save (platforms, rules, and how it works)

INAZUMA ELEVEN: Victory Road is launching with full online play, cross-play support across consoles and PC, and a robust cross-save system you can carry between platforms. It’s flexible, but there are rules: you’ll need the game on each platform you plan to play on, an Epic Games account for cross-save, and an active online subscription on consoles for any online features.

Cross-play in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road (platforms and requirements)

Cross-play is supported across Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. You can match online with players on different systems. Online play on consoles requires a paid subscription to each platform’s service (Nintendo Switch Online, PlayStation Plus, or Xbox Game Pass/Core).

Ownership matters: if you want to actively play on multiple platforms (for example, hopping from PlayStation to Switch while keeping your progression via cross-save), you must own a copy on each platform. Cross-play does not grant access to other platforms’ game clients; it only lets different platforms play together online.

Cross-save setup (Epic account required)

Cross-save lets you move your progress between platforms by linking an Epic Games account. The process is built into the game’s Save Data Management menu and only takes a few minutes.

  • Link once on each platform you use, then upload to the source system and download to the destination.
  • You need an Epic Games account, which you can create at the Epic Games site if you don’t already have one.
  • On Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use cross-save.

For step-by-step screens and platform-specific prompts (QR sign-in on consoles, direct sign-in on Steam), use the official cross-save guide.

Deluxe edition bonuses and cross-save (what carries, what doesn’t)

Deluxe extras are tied to the platform where you purchased them. If you load a cross-save on a platform where you only own the Standard Edition, Deluxe bonuses won’t be available there. To use those bonuses on another platform, you’ll need the Deluxe Edition on that platform or the Edition Upgrade if you own Standard there. Switch and Switch 2 share access when you’re on the same Nintendo Account; PS4 and PS5 share access when you’re on the same PlayStation Network account.

Tip: If you don’t need the Deluxe perks everywhere, you can still carry your core progress across platforms via cross-save and access Deluxe content again anytime you return to the platform where you bought Deluxe.

Quick reference: cross-play and cross-save rules

Feature What it does What you need Notes
Cross-play Online matches across Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam Game ownership on your platform; console online subscription Lets different platforms play together; does not grant access to other platforms’ clients
Cross-save Move your save between platforms Epic Games account; game ownership on each platform you play Upload on the source, download on the destination; NSO required on Switch/Switch 2
Deluxe extras across platforms Use Deluxe items/bonuses on another platform Deluxe Edition (or Edition Upgrade) on that platform Same-account access within console families (Switch↔Switch 2, PS4↔PS5)
Online subscriptions Enable online features NSO, PS Plus, or Xbox Game Pass/Core Required for online play; NSO also required to use cross-save on Switch

How to move your save between platforms

Here’s the workflow you’ll use every time you switch devices:

  • On your current platform, open the Title Menu → Save → Save Data Management → Upload to Cross‑Save, then follow the sign‑in prompts to link your Epic account and confirm the upload.
  • On your destination platform, open Save → Save Data Management → Download from Cross‑Save, sign in with the same Epic account, and confirm the download.
Note: Link your Epic account on each platform once. After that, it’s just upload on one device and download on the other.

If you need the detailed screens for each platform’s sign‑in flow, head to the official cross-save guide.

Editions, platforms, and access timing

The game is digital-only across Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. There are two editions:

  • Standard Edition: base game.
  • Deluxe Edition: base game plus cosmetics and items (Choose‑a‑Character Crate, Bond Objects, EXP-boost gear, goal celebration), and early start timing on consoles (Early Access) or Steam (Advanced Access).

If you plan to play on more than one platform, buy the game on each platform you’ll use. Cross-play lets you match with friends regardless of platform; cross-save lets you carry your progress; Deluxe content follows the ownership rules above.

If you want the simplest path: pick the platform where you’ll play most, buy that version (Standard or Deluxe), and set up cross-save with an Epic account. Add a second platform later if you need portability or couch play elsewhere; your progress will follow, and you’ll know exactly what content is available on each device.
