Bond Stars are the recruitment currency that powers the Player Universe in Chronicle Mode. You won’t earn a steady supply by playing through Chronicle events alone. The reliable way to stock up is to go online, play matches, and convert those rewards into new signings.
How to get Bond Stars
The fastest, most consistent way to earn Bond Stars is through online matches in Competition Mode. You can queue solo or with friends; the payout is tied to match completion, not your rank or result.
- From the main menu, open Competition Mode.
- Choose Ranked Matches or set up/join a Lobby Match with friends.
- Finish the match — you’ll receive Bond Stars whether you win or lose.
Chronicle Mode can drop a small number of Bond Stars from certain matches, but these drops are infrequent and not guaranteed. Treat them as a bonus, not a plan.

How to use Bond Stars in Chronicle Mode
Bond Stars are spent inside Player Universe to recruit characters mapped across constellations. Once you’ve earned a batch online, head back to Chronicle Mode and start building your roster.
- Open Chronicle Mode from the main menu.
- Enter Player Universe (between Chronicle Competition Route and Team Dock).
- Browse constellations to find recruitable players, or use filters to search by player name or by Team Dock.
- Select a character and spend Bond Stars to recruit them.
The Player Universe is organized like a star map. Different constellations group players by rarity and role, and you can target heroes or fill gaps in your lineup without grinding specific story paths.
If you’re just starting out, set up short online matches and alternate between Ranked and private lobbies with friends. Five Bond Stars per match adds up quickly, and you’ll earn enough to pull multiple recruits after only a few games; any Chronicle drops you pick up along the way are a small bonus.
