Weapons in Jujutsu Zero sit on top of your cursed techniques rather than replacing them. Early on, you can ignore them and still clear quests. Once you move into raids, higher-grade bosses, and PvP, having a strong cursed tool becomes a requirement instead of a luxury.
All current ways to get weapons in Jujutsu Zero
Weapons come from several different systems that unlock as you progress:
- NPC shops sell basic weapons for Yen.
- Boss and raid drops can give you rare and epic cursed tools.
- Weapon gacha uses Lumens on a weapon banner for high-rarity pulls.
- Event rewards sometimes hand out exclusive weapons or upgrade items.
- Special grade weapon crafting on a mountain-top NPC lets you turn raid materials into top-end weapons.
- Special grade chests in the open world can drop certain special weapons directly.
Each source targets a different part of the progression curve. Shops cover your first hours, boss drops, and the weapon banner push you into epic and legendary gear, and the mountain NPC handles special grade crafts such as Dragon Bone and Inverted Spear of Heaven.

Buy basic weapons from NPC shops
Shops are the first place most players see a weapon upgrade. They trade Yen for straightforward gear with predictable stats.
| Weapon | Rarity | Typical cost | Use case |
|---|---|---|---|
| Training Sword | Common | ~500 Yen | Starter weapon; replaced quickly |
| Jujutsu Blade | Rare | ~10,000 Yen | First real all-rounder weapon |
Shop weapons are easy to upgrade and do not require rare materials, so they are safe investments while you learn combat and techniques.
Farm bosses and raids for weapon drops
Once you are comfortable with core quests, bosses, and raids become your main weapon farm. These fights can drop rare and epic weapons along with upgrade materials.
- Standard bosses can drop items like Cursed Katana or other rare/epic blades.
- Raid bosses add higher drop rates and unique raid-only tools, such as Black Flash Blade.
- Volcanic or nightmare raids supply crafting materials like Heavenly Fragments through their chests.
Group runs are more efficient here. You are farming both weapons and the fragments needed for high-level upgrades and crafts, so time in raids pulls double duty.

Use the weapon banner gacha for legendaries
For endgame players with a surplus of Lumens, the weapon banner is the most direct route to legendary cursed tools. It uses the same gacha logic as cursed techniques, but on a separate pool.
| Weapon | Rarity | Role | Typical banner rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inverted Spear of Heaven | Legendary | PvP, nullifies cursed techniques on hit | ~0.5% |
| Playful Cloud | Legendary | PvE, pure physical damage | ~0.5% |
| Cursed Katana | Epic | Fast all-round PvP/PvE | ~5% |
Weapon gacha is where most of the long-term grind sits. Lumens for pulls come from Yen conversion, chests, and activity rewards, so progressing your account naturally feeds into weapon attempts even if you are not focused on them at first.
Unlock special grade weapon crafting on the mountain
Separate from the banner, Jujutsu Zero has a dedicated NPC that crafts special grade weapons out of raid materials. Reaching this NPC is itself a small progression check.
Reach the mountain crafting NPC
Step 1: Invest points into Vitality to unlock multiple air jumps in your stats and skill tree. The climb to the NPC depends on mid-air movement, so you need several jumps unlocked before attempting it.
Step 2: Activate nearby teleport totems as you explore, then use the map teleporter closest to the tall mountain used in weapon tutorials. This cuts down on travel time for repeated visits.

Step 3: From the nearest teleport spawn, head directly toward the large mountain used as the weapon hub. Avoid branching paths that steer you toward other peaks; staying roughly in line with the visible summit keeps you on track.
Step 4: Use trees and ledges as stepping stones. Jump to a tree, climb up, then chain air jumps and wall climbs to reach the upper ledges of the mountain. Expect to fail a few climbs until you learn the route.
Step 5: At the top, interact with the weapon crafting NPC. This NPC unlocks special-grade crafts once your character meets the level requirement.

One set of tutorials calls out level 100 as a basic requirement to interact with this system at all, while another shows a crafted special grade weapon with a level 300+ equip requirement. The safe assumption is that crafting and equipping these tools are aimed squarely at high-level players.
Craft Dragon Bone and Inverted Spear of Heaven
At the mountain NPC, you can currently craft two key special-grade weapons from raid materials.
| Weapon | Materials | Main material sources | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dragon Bone | 3 × Heavenly Fragment | Volcanic chests in Joo boss raids (hard / nightmare) | First special grade craft many players complete |
| Inverted Spear of Heaven | 3 × Cursed Iron, 3 × Heavenly Fragment | Nightmare raid chests, high-grade / special grade crates | Also available from special grade chests directly |
How to farm Heavenly Fragments and Cursed Iron
Heavenly Fragments come from volcanic chests tied to boss raids:
Step 1: Queue into Joo boss raids (or similar high-tier raids) on hard or nightmare difficulty. Lower settings do not supply the right chest tier.
Step 2: Complete the raid and open the volcanic chest at the end. These chests have a chance to drop Heavenly Fragments along with Yen, Lumens, and other loot.

Step 3: Repeat raids until you have at least three Heavenly Fragments, or more if you plan to craft both Dragon Bone and Inverted Spear of Heaven, and also upgrade weapons to +10 where a fragment is required.
Cursed Iron is used only in the Inverted Spear of Heaven recipe. It is associated with the toughest raid content:
Step 1: Focus on nightmare difficulty raid chests such as Joo raid nightmare and other endgame raid variants, which can drop Cursed Iron alongside standard rewards.
Step 2: Open special grade crates that spawn at random across the open world. These have a chance to include Cursed Iron and, in some cases, the crafted weapons themselves.

Step 3: Keep track of how many Cursed Iron pieces you own. You will need three of them plus three Heavenly Fragments for a single Inverted Spear of Heaven craft.
Once you have the required materials, speak to the mountain NPC and select the weapon you want to craft. The game consumes the materials and adds the special-grade weapon to your inventory immediately.
Get weapons from special grade chests
Special grade chests (or special grade crates) are rare world objects that can skip the crafting step entirely. They appear at random locations on the map and can drop both materials and completed weapons.
- They can contain Heavenly Fragments and Cursed Iron.
- They also have a chance to drop special grade weapons such as Dragon Bone and Inverted Spear of Heaven directly.
Because of this, there are effectively two parallel paths to these weapons: grind raids for materials and craft them at the mountain NPC, or roam the world opening special grade chests and hope for a direct weapon drop.\

Upgrade weapons at the Blacksmith
No matter how you get your weapon, upgrades decide how far it can carry you. The Blacksmith in the main hub handles all weapon enhancements, trading Yen and materials for incremental boosts.
| Upgrade range | Damage per level | Cost band (Yen) | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|
| +1 to +3 | +5% each | 1,000–5,000 | Basic Cursed Fragments |
| +4 to +6 | +7% each | 10,000–25,000 | Refined Cursed Fragments |
| +7 to +9 | +10% each | 50,000–100,000 | Pure Cursed Essence |
| +10 (max) | +15% plus a special effect | 250,000 | Heavenly Fragment |
Above +6, upgrades can fail, which risks losing levels or in some cases the weapon. Protection Charms obtained from codes or events can prevent destruction, so they are worth saving for attempts on epic and legendary tools.
Meet level requirements before investing heavily
Weapons have level gates. The higher the rarity, the higher the required character level:
- Common weapons can be equipped immediately.
- Rare weapons typically require level 25 or above.
- Epic weapons tend to sit at level 75 or above.
- Legendary and special grade weapons expect roughly level 100 or far higher to equip, depending on the specific item.
Special grade crafts showcased in high-end runs call out level 300+ equip requirements, which is consistent with their position at the very top of the game’s power curve. Before dumping rare materials into a weapon, check its level requirement so you are not sitting on an unusable tool for dozens of levels.

Which weapon path to follow at different stages
For a new character, cursed techniques matter far more than weapons. A Training Sword or basic shop blade is enough while you unlock a strong technique and learn combat. Once you stabilize on a technique you like, a shop Rare such as Jujutsu Blade makes early leveling smoother without needing rare drops.
The mid-game is where boss drops, and epic weapons become important. Cursed Katana is a common target because it combines speed and damage without the extreme rarity of legendaries. As you push into raids, begin collecting Heavenly Fragments and Cursed Iron in the background so you are ready for special-grade crafts later.
Endgame players typically choose between two routes. Either chase legendaries through the weapon banner, aiming for Inverted Spear of Heaven or Playful Cloud, or farm raids and special grade chests until Dragon Bone and Inverted Spear of Heaven are craftable or drop directly. In all cases, the real payoff comes once you push those weapons to high upgrade levels at the Blacksmith.
