Kenny’s Respawn Token is one of the standout items in Fortnite’s South Park collaboration. It functions as a one-time, automatic self-revive that brings you back into the match without a Reboot Van, making it especially valuable in solo and casual squad games.
What Kenny’s Respawn Token does
Kenny’s Respawn Token is a Mythic item tied to the Chapter 7 Season 1 loot pool. Once you have it, it sits in its own dedicated inventory slot or reserved space and cannot be manually activated.
When you are eliminated while holding the token, it automatically triggers:
- You lose all your current loot on death, the same way you would in a normal elimination.
- A portal opens above your character and pulls you in via a set of tendrils.
- You are then relocated into the sky and redeploy back onto the Chapter 7 island.
- The token is consumed and cannot be used again unless you find another one later in the match.
The effect is similar in function to the old Self-Revive kit that was removed with the v39.20 update. The difference is that Kenny’s Token fully eliminates the need for a teammate or Reboot Van to bring you back, but you always pay the price of losing your entire inventory.

Where Kenny’s Respawn Token can be found
Kenny’s Token is in the Chapter 7 unranked loot pool for v39.20, which means it appears in regular Battle Royale matches but not in Ranked. There are three primary ways to obtain it, with very different reliability.
1. Care Package Rift Anomalies
Care Package Rift Anomalies are currently the most reliable way to pick up Kenny’s Respawn Token.
Step 1: Play unranked Battle Royale and stay alive long enough for Care Package Rift Anomalies to appear. These anomalies spawn care packages that drop from the sky.
Step 2: Watch for the anomaly marker and move to the care package as it descends. Secure the area first, as these drops are contested.
Step 3: Open the care package. Kenny’s Respawn Token has a strong chance to appear from these drops, alongside other high-tier loot.
The token is still Mythic and not guaranteed, but Care Package Rift Anomalies are the most targeted method if you specifically want Kenny’s Token.

2. Regular loot chests
Kenny’s Respawn Token is also part of the standard chest loot pool in Chapter 7 Season 1 unranked modes.
Step 1: Land at a loot-dense POI and prioritize opening as many chests as possible—inside buildings, underground areas, and high-traffic interiors.
Step 2: Check your inventory and HUD prompt when opening chests. If the token drops, it will occupy its dedicated space when picked up and not displace your weapons or items.
This method is much more random. You may open dozens of chests without seeing the item, but it is always a background possibility while you play normally.

3. Cartmanland’s Chaosblast minigame
Cartmanland, a new South Park–themed POI on the Chapter 7 island, contains an interactive Chaosblast minigame that can award Kenny’s Respawn Token as a reward.
Step 1: Drop at Cartmanland in the northwest portion of the island. Move toward the Chaosblast minigame area, marked by the Professor Chaos theming and a white start button.
Step 2: Start the Chaosblast round by pressing the button. Targets will pop up around the arena, and barriers will appear to make line of sight trickier.
Step 3: Shoot every target before the timer expires while avoiding the Chaos shields. Failing to hit all targets will end the attempt without the full reward bundle.
Step 4: If you clear the round in time, a reward pile appears that can include Kenny’s Respawn Token along with other loot.

Unranked vs. Ranked availability
Kenny’s Respawn Token is restricted to the unranked loot pool in Chapter 7 Season 1. It does not spawn in Ranked matches.
If you want to experiment with the item—especially to understand the death animation, redeploy timing, and how it fits into your game plan—queue into standard Battle Royale or other unranked playlists rather than Ranked.
How Kenny’s Respawn Token changes your match
Because the token triggers automatically and you cannot hold more than one, it subtly changes how you should play while you have it.
- Bigger safety net for aggressive play. You can afford to take slightly riskier fights or rotate through more contested areas, knowing you have a one-time reset if you misplay.
- Position still matters. While you revive into the sky, opponents can quickly loot your dropped weapons. If you die in the open near center zone, expect your loadout to disappear fast.
- Inventory resets after revival. Once you land again, treat it like a fresh spawn mid-match—prioritize weapons, healing, and mobility rather than immediately re-engaging.
In squads, the token can sit alongside traditional revive options. If you fall and the token triggers, your teammates can still play their lives instead of risking a difficult revive or sprinting to a Reboot Van.

How long Kenny’s Token is expected to stay
Kenny’s Respawn Token arrived with the v39.20 update as part of the South Park collaboration. It is intended as a limited-time addition, and it is expected to be vaulted again on February 5, 2026, in line with that event schedule.
That timing means there is a short window to experiment with the item, learn its quirks, and use it as a backup plan in unranked matches before it leaves the loot pool.
Kenny’s Respawn Token is simple in concept but powerful in practice: one mistake, erased, at the cost of your inventory. If you want the best chance of trying it before it disappears, focus on unranked games, chase Care Package Rift Anomalies, and make at least a few trips to Cartmanland’s Chaosblast arena.
