Start by clearing Raven’s Hideout to grab a large, one-time batch of Rift Crystals; after that, rotate Storm Dungeons and storm mobs for repeatable drops in LEGO Fortnite Odyssey.

Method 1: Raven’s Hideout one-time pickup

This is a fast, single-use source players report yielding roughly two dozen Rift Crystals. The barrels are in the surface mansion of the hideout, not the room where Raven sits.

Step 1: Progress the Storm Chasers questline until Raven’s Hideout appears on your map.

Step 2: Travel to Raven’s Hideout and enter the mansion/house on the surface.

Step 3: Locate the dark barrels with pink crystals embedded in them around the house (commonly under the stairs).

Step 4: Break each barrel with a Legendary pickaxe if you have one.

Step 5: If you don’t have a Legendary pickaxe, break the floor tile under a barrel to destroy it indirectly.

Step 6: Loot the dropped Rift Crystals from every destroyed barrel across the house.

Step 7: (Optional) Defeat Raven and open the hideout chest for a chance at additional Rift Crystals.

Notes:

  • The barrel pickup appears to be one-time per world, so plan to clear every room during your visit.
  • Players report 20–28 Rift Crystals from the mansion’s barrels; exact counts vary by world.

Method 2: Storm Dungeon farming (repeatable)

Storm Dungeons provide ongoing opportunities: enemies inside can drop Rift Crystals, and dungeon chests can also roll them. Expect a low individual drop chance, so volume runs matter.

Step 1: Find a Storm biome on your map and head to its center (look for lightning bolt icons).

Step 2: Enter the Storm Dungeon at the biome’s center.

Step 3: Destroy three Storm Crystals near the entrance to activate the next Rift deeper in.

Step 4: Take the activated Rift to the next floor.

Step 5: Clear the enemy wave and destroy spawners on that floor.

Step 6: Loot enemies and any chest on the floor for a chance at Rift Crystals.

Step 7: Use the new Rift that appears to continue deeper, repeating the clear-and-loot cycle.

Tips:

  • Because drop rates are modest, chain several floors per run to accumulate crystals steadily.
  • Empty inventory space speeds up looting and avoids leaving crystals behind.

Method 3: Storm mobs at surface storm sites

Storm enemies that spawn around storm sites and activities outside dungeons can also drop Rift Crystals, though drops are uncommon compared to total kills.

Step 1: Patrol active storm sites on your map and engage the storm-themed enemies there.

Step 2: Defeat mobs in batches and check the ground for Rift Crystal drops.

Step 3: Rotate between storm sites as they spawn to sustain enemy density and drop chances.

Tip:

  • This is a flexible filler method when you don’t have time for a full dungeon; expect slower returns per minute.

Avoiding confusion: Crystals vs. Shards

Rift Crystals are used to build and power up gear via the Legendary Forge; Rift Shards are a separate resource also required in the Legendary Forge recipe. They come from different activities and are not interchangeable.

Using Rift Crystals: build the Legendary Forge and upgrade weapons

Once you have crystals, you can create the Legendary Forge and convert Epic weapons into Legendary (Rift) weapons after use.

Step 1: Open the Build Menu and craft a Legendary Forge.

Step 2: Supply the required materials: 3 Rift Crystals, 8 Iron Bars, 6 Cut Rubies, and 5 Rift Shards.

Step 3: Place the Legendary Forge at your base.

Step 4: Interact with the Forge and apply 3 Rift Crystals to an Epic-rarity weapon to make it Rifted.

Step 5: Fill the weapon’s Rifted progress bar by using it in combat until it upgrades to Legendary.

Result:

  • You’ll unlock a Legendary (Rift) version of the weapon with stronger stats after the progress bar completes.

Raven’s Hideout is the quickest kickstart for Rift Crystals; after that, rely on Storm Dungeons and occasional storm-site sweeps to keep your stock topped up for Legendary upgrades.
