Living Garden Bestiary in Fisch, Fastest Path to 100%

The Living Garden bestiary in Fisch is complete when you register all 20 main entries in the area, including the Exotic Flower Guardian. You do not need secret fish for 100 percent completion, but you do need access to the Living Garden itself before any of the entries can count.

Quick answer: Reach the Living Garden, collect all 20 listed entries there, make sure Flower Guardian is caught for the exotic slot, and the bestiary completion unlocks the Verdant Oath Rod.

Living Garden bestiary completion trigger

The trigger is simple. You must catch every main Living Garden entry, which totals 20. That includes standard fish, the four seed entries, and the randomly spawning Flower Guardian.

The Flower Guardian matters because the exotic box must be filled for completion. Secret fish do not count toward the 100 percent requirement here.

How to reach Living Garden

Step 1: Cross the Toxic Grove with a Gas Mask. You need to get through this area before you can start the Living Garden bestiary at all.

Step 2: Wait for a toxic boil pool to appear in Toxic Grove and fish there for a Venom Moor. A high-luck rod helps with this part.

Step 3: Give the Venom Moor to Oliver. That reward unlocks the Toxic-Proof Raft, which is the boat that can survive the toxic water.

Step 4: Spawn the Toxic-Proof Raft and head straight out to the Living Garden. Once you arrive there, catches from that zone begin counting toward the bestiary.

How the seed entries work

The four seed entries are Living Seed, Cyan Seed, Canary Seed, and Violet Seed. You get them by opening the closed flowers in the Living Garden rather than by standard fishing.

If you open every flower and still do not have all four seeds, use a Bloom Totem to refresh the flowers and try again. Those seeds can be planted for lotus.

What to do before fishing in Living Garden

Step 1: Open the closed flowers first. That gives you a chance to clear the seed entries early instead of treating them like normal fish later.

Step 2: Place crab cages before settling into the long fishing grind. Some Living Garden entries are tied to Reinforced Crab Cages, so this saves time while you fish for the rest.

Step 3: After the flowers and cages are set, fish the area normally for the remaining pool. This lets passive catches progress while you wait for the Flower Guardian.

Flower Guardian trigger and completion check

Flower Guardian is the one entry that usually decides whether the bestiary is done or not. It spawns randomly in the Living Garden, and once you catch it, the exotic slot is filled.

If every other Living Garden entry is already registered, catching Flower Guardian is the moment the bestiary should finish. If completion does not trigger after that, one of the other 19 main entries is still missing.

Exact reasons Living Garden bestiary does not complete

The bestiary will not complete if you have not reached the Living Garden, if one or more of the four seed entries is still missing, or if Flower Guardian has not been caught yet. It also will not complete if a crab-cage-specific entry has not been registered.

A full-looking fish list can still be incomplete if the exotic box or one seed slot is empty. Check those first before changing rods, bait, or weather.

Living Garden conditions that matter most

Most of the rarer entries lean toward clear weather, and many of them favor spring day or summer day conditions. If you are targeting missing entries one by one, those windows matter more than raw grinding time.

A Sundial Totem can help force the day conditions needed for several fish, especially the spring-day and summer-day pool. For the Flower Guardian, clear weather and spring are the key conditions to watch.

Fastest setup for finishing the bestiary

Rods with strong progress speed or high luck work best in the Living Garden. Challenger’s Rod and Tempest Rod shorten catches, while No-Life Rod and Heaven’s Rod help with rarer entries. Batty Rod is useful for long idle sessions, and Sweet-Stinger Rod helps if resilience becomes the problem.

For bait, use each fish’s preferred bait when you are targeting a specific missing entry. If you are still building out your setup, Seaweed is a workable fallback for the easier pool. Night Shrimp and Luminous Larva are stronger for rare entries, while Coral becomes more useful once your rod already has more than 200 luck.

Mystical is one of the cleanest enchant choices because it improves both luck and progress speed. Resilient, Quality, Steady, and Flashline also fit the Living Garden pool well because several catches are tougher to reel in than their rarity suggests.

The shortest route is straightforward. Unlock the Toxic-Proof Raft, enter the Living Garden, clear the flower-based seed entries, set crab cages early, fish for the remaining pool under the right weather and season, and stay until Flower Guardian appears. Once all 20 main entries are filled, the Living Garden bestiary is finished and the Verdant Oath Rod unlock follows.
