Maurice’s Black Market is back on the western edge of The Fadefields this week. Head to Idolator’s Noose and look along the coastline just southwest of Rattlehead Crest. The vending machine is inside the large wooden building on the water’s edge—go up to the second floor and you’ll find it beside the stairs. The closest fast travel is Someday Rise.

Oct 2–9 The Fadefields Idolator’s Noose (west coast) Slightly SW of Rattlehead Crest Inside the large wooden coastal building, 2nd floor by the stairs Someday Rise

How to get there quickly

  • Fast travel to Someday Rise, then drive southwest around Rattlehead Crest to the shoreline.
  • Enter the tallest wooden structure along the water’s edge. Clear any enemies if a world event has spawned.
  • Climb to the second floor; the Black Market machine sits next to the staircase.
Note: The machine appears faint until you’re close. Once you’re within roughly a few dozen meters, it materializes and places a map marker that persists until the weekly reset.

Unlock requirements (you won’t see it otherwise)

  • Finish the main story to unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode (UVHM).
  • Complete the UVHM quest “Ultimate Vault Hunter: Maurice’s Bounty” to activate the Black Market in the open world.
  • For full weekly rotations, complete these UVHM missions: Zane’s Fireware, Maurice’s Bounty, Big Encore, and Wildcard Mission.

If you’ve done the above and still don’t see the machine at the coordinates listed for the week, make sure your game is updated to the latest patch and reload the area or your session.

How Maurice’s Black Market works

  • Weekly rotation: The machine moves to a new spot every Friday. The in‑game Weekly Activities panel shows the remaining time to reset.
  • Stock: It sells a small, curated set of legendaries for cash. The lineup is unique per player and rolls can vary when you revisit after cooldown.
  • Cooldown: Leaving the store—whether you buy something or not—puts the machine on roughly a 30‑minute cooldown. The timer is tracked per character, so alternate characters can often purchase while another is waiting.
  • Discovery: The machine is semi‑invisible until you get close; once revealed, a map marker remains until the weekly changeover.

Troubleshooting if it isn’t there

  • Progress check: You must have completed the campaign and the “Maurice’s Bounty” UVHM quest on the character you’re using.
  • Get close: The machine won’t fully appear until you’re near the building. Walk right up to the second‑floor landing where it should be.
  • Refresh the area: If the spot is empty, update to the latest patch, return to main menu, or fast travel away and back.
  • Inventory oddities: If a purchase is blocked with a “no space available”‑style message despite free slots, opening your inventory or selling a junk item can refresh the count. If you backed out of the menu by mistake, you’ll still have to wait out the cooldown.
💡
Co‑op note: Access is tied to each player’s progression. Everyone in the session needs the requisite endgame unlocks to interact with the machine.

Previous weekly locations (recent)

Date range Location Where to look
Sep 12–18 Plungeford, Coastal Bonescape On the balcony of the tallest building, just southwest of the checkpoint
Sep 19–25 Punitive Manufactorium, Cuspid Climb (Terminus Range) Cave behind the waterfall; platform up to the upper platform with the machine
Sep 25–Oct 2 Grindstone of the Worthy, Carcadia Burn Top of the cliff south of Crumblehall; along the ledge outside the rusted building

What to expect each week

Think of Maurice as a roving, endgame‑only vendor. You’ll only ever find him in one place at a time, the location changes on a weekly cadence, and the stock costs cash instead of grind‑locked currencies. If the machine’s current wares aren’t what you want, you can return after the cooldown for a fresh set of rolls on the same week’s selection, or check in on your other characters. When the timer hits zero on Friday, the marker clears and the hunt begins again—watch the Weekly Activities panel for the countdown and head to the new coordinates once it flips.
