Pax Dei plot tokens and Premium Status — how land upkeep works
Pax DeiA clear guide to claiming, renewing, and storing your housing in the 1.0 membership system.
Pax Dei’s 1.0 membership introduces Plot Tokens for land claims and Premium Status for progression bonuses. They’re related to housing, but they work independently. If you’re trying to secure a plot, keep it active, or understand what happens when time runs out, here’s how the system fits together.
What are Pax Dei Plot Tokens
- Each Plot Token lets you claim one plot of land for one month, or extend an existing claim by one month.
- You control when to spend tokens; unused tokens stay on your account until you use them.
- Tokens remain valid for 12 months from the date you receive them.
Think of tokens as month-long “upkeep” for a specific plot. Spend one to place a new plot, or stack them on a plot to extend its lifespan in advance.

How Plot Tokens work (duration, validity, renewals)
- Manual vs. automatic renewal: You can let a plot auto-renew or switch to manual control. By default, when a plot’s month ends, the system will automatically consume one available token to keep it active. You can turn that off and renew only when you decide.
- Frontloading time: You can add multiple tokens at once to push the expiration out by several months in advance.
- No subscription required to spend: You can activate unused tokens at any time, even if your membership is not currently active, as long as the tokens are still within their 12‑month validity window.

What happens when a plot expires
- Frozen grace period: When time runs out, the plot enters a frozen state for a limited grace period. Building and destruction are disabled during this window.
- Safe storage after grace: If you don’t extend the plot, its contents are moved to your Redeeming Queue for recovery later.
- Releasing a plot is different: If you manually release a plot, its goods are not moved to your Redeeming Queue, and buildings will decay.
Premium Status perks and how it differs from Plot Tokens
Premium Status is tied to your membership plan and runs for one month per billing cycle. It does not control plot ownership; it adds progression bonuses:
- +50% Grace from daily login
- +50% Grace from gold offerings
- +50% XP from all activities
Premium Status and Plot Tokens are independent. You can have an active plot without Premium Status, and you can have Premium Status with no active plots. Perks may evolve as new content arrives.

Membership plans and prices (1, 2, or 4 Plot Tokens)
Membership is optional. Plans auto-renew monthly and can be canceled anytime. You receive Premium Status every month, and—depending on the plan—Plot Tokens you can spend whenever you like (tokens valid for 12 months).
| Plan | Monthly price | Plot Tokens/month | Premium Status | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Premium Status | $3.99 | 0 | 1 month | Progression bonuses only |
| Premium + 1 plot | $6.99 | 1 | 1 month | Maintain one plot per month by default |
| Premium + 2 plots | $10.99 | 2 | 1 month | Maintain two plots or extend one further |
| Premium + 4 plots | $18.99 | 4 | 1 month | For multiple plots or long upfront extensions |

Common scenarios and examples
- Your membership ends but you have unused tokens: You can still activate those tokens later—at any time within their 12‑month validity—to start or extend a plot’s month.
- You want a plot active with no Premium Status: Spend a valid Plot Token to keep the land; plot ownership isn’t tied to Premium Status.
- You don’t want auto-renewal: Disable the default auto-consume behavior for that plot and renew manually when you’re ready.
- You want to “set and forget”: Leave auto-renewal on, or frontload multiple tokens to push the expiration date out by several months.
Limitations and notes
- Token gifting: You can’t give Plot Tokens to other players right now.
- Token validity: Tokens expire 12 months after you receive them if not used.
- Storage safety: To preserve items automatically, let a plot expire into the grace period; releasing a plot immediately forfeits Redeeming Queue storage and buildings will decay.
- Premium accumulation: Premium Status is granted monthly with your plan and can accumulate up to 12 months.
In practice: use Plot Tokens to secure land on your schedule, set auto-renew for convenience or manage manually, and lean on Premium Status when you want faster XP and Grace. If you’re moving or taking a break, the grace period and Redeeming Queue safeguard your work—as long as you don’t hit release.
