New Perspectives is the 136th main quest in Crimson Desert, sitting near the tail end of Chapter 9 — The Sage of the Desert. After battling Master Du during the preceding quest, he vanishes and asks you to follow him into the Abyss. The final objective, "Speak with Master Du," is where most players hit a wall. A complex dial puzzle stands between you and the floating rock where Master Du waits, but the puzzle is completely optional.
Quick answer: After activating the skybridge and reaching the Throne of Truth area, walk to the far left edge of the big floating rock, use three midair Force Palm inputs to launch yourself upward, land on protruding pillars on the left wall, rest, then repeat with another three Force Palm to reach the top. The quest has five objectives in sequence: head to the Spire of the Sun, find a way to the Abyss, go to the Nest of Valor, activate the skybridge, and speak with Master Du. The first four are straightforward. The fifth is where things get tricky.
Getting to the Spire of the Sun and entering the Abyss
Step 1: Travel back to the Spire of the Sun in the Crimson Desert region. Head inside the tower and climb to the top floor.
Step 2: On the top floor, enter the Abyss Portal. Once you exit the portal, the "Go to the Nest of Valor" objective autocompletes immediately.
Activating the skybridge
Step 1: Take the stairs on the left side and fly across the platforms until you reach the skybridge. It will be marked on your screen.
Step 2: Walk through the blue glowing gate, then use Axiom Force on the blue dot of the pillar. Rotate it using your input until it glows blue, then stop and wait a few seconds. The path forward activates once the pillar fully charges.
Reaching Master Du — the easy climbing method
After the skybridge activates, jump across the newly appeared platforms and step into the teleporter at the end. You'll arrive in an area with large stone gates that move up and down along a path. Stand on top of one and ride it to the other side.
Step 1: Climb up the platforms beyond the moving gates until you reach a fast travel point. Activate it immediately — if you fall during the next section, you can teleport back here instead of repeating everything.
Step 2: Walk to the far left edge of the area and look at the left side of the big floating rock where Master Du is perched. You'll see pillars and cube-shaped blocks protruding from the wall at various heights.
Step 3: Jump and perform three Force Palm inputs in midair (on controller, press the appropriate button three times; on mouse, scroll the mouse wheel three times). This catapults your character upward with significant height.
Step 4: Fly over to the pillars sticking out on the left side of the rock. Land on one and rest to recover stamina.
Step 5: From the pillar, jump up to a cube-shaped block protruding from the wall. Rest there briefly, then perform another three midair Force Palm inputs to launch yourself to the top of the floating rock.
Step 6: At the top, simply walk toward Master Du. A cutscene triggers, completing the quest and awarding you the Karmic Pulse Abyss Gear.
Alternative method — the Stab skill launch
A second skip method exists that uses the Stab skill instead of the climbing route. Bring stamina regeneration consumables like Mushroom Tea or wine before attempting this.
Step 1: Execute a triple jump using Force Palm, just like the climbing method above.
Step 2: Immediately after the Force Palm launches, switch to the Stab skill while facing upward. Repeatedly use Stab to force your character higher into the air.
Step 3: Consume stamina food whenever your stamina drops low. Keep stabbing upward until you clear the top of the floating rock and can land on the platform where Master Du stands.
This method is less precise than the climbing route but works if you'd rather brute-force the ascent.
Solving the Throne of Truth puzzle (optional)
If you prefer to do things the intended way, the Throne of Truth Abyss puzzle activates an air vent that carries you to Master Du's platform. The puzzle involves three walls of ring dials that must be activated in a specific order, plus reconnecting a broken cable.
South wall — first section
Three dials are mounted here. Climb up and hang on the lower dial, use Resist, then hit it with Force Palm. Only the lower dial needs activation.
West wall — second section
Six dials are arranged horizontally, numbered 1 through 6 from left to right. Press them in this exact sequence:

Final step: After pressing all dials, find the unconnected cord nearby. Follow it to the main mechanism and reconnect the broken section. The puzzle is completed, and an air vent activates outside. Use your flight ability to glide upward through the vent and land on the elevated platform where Master Du waits.
Completing New Perspectives awards the Karmic Pulse Abyss Gear and advances the Enlightenment quest line. The next quest in the chain, Lust for Power, simply asks you to return to camp. Whether you climb, stab-launch, or solve the full puzzle, the result is the same — approach Master Du at the top, and the cutscene fires without any additional requirements.
