Race is one of the most impactful character attributes in Sailor Piece. Your race determines passive stat buffs that affect max HP, damage output, lifesteal, sprint speed, and more. Every player starts as a Human with zero bonuses, but through Race Reroll items you can spin for something far more powerful. The catch is that higher-rarity races have brutally low drop rates, so knowing what you're aiming for matters.
Quick answer: Use a Race Reroll item from your inventory and confirm the spin. Mythical races like Servant, Slime, and Oni have less than a 1% chance to appear, while the default Human race has a 50% chance on every roll.

Sailor Piece race drop rates by rarity
Each time you use a Race Reroll, the game rolls against a fixed rarity table. The percentage chance for each tier stays the same regardless of how many times you've rerolled — there is no pity system for race rolls.
| Rarity | Drop chance |
|---|---|
| Common | 50% |
| Uncommon | 30% |
| Rare | 15% |
| Epic | 4% |
| Legendary | 1% |
| Mythical | Less than 1% |
Half of all rolls will land on Human, and nearly a third will give you an Uncommon race. Reaching Legendary or Mythical territory requires significant luck or a large stockpile of Race Reroll items.
Complete Sailor Piece race list with stat buffs
Below is every race currently in the game, organized from Common through Mythical. When a race boosts a specific character's damage (like Sukuna or Gojo), that bonus only applies when you're using that character's move set.
Common
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Human | None |
Human is the default race assigned to every new player. It provides no stat bonuses whatsoever, making it the first thing you should reroll away from once you acquire a Race Reroll item.

Uncommon
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Skypea | +2 extra jumps |
| Fishman | +15% income, +15% EXP gain |
Fishman is a standout for early- and mid-game farming. The combined 15% boost to both money and experience makes leveling noticeably faster. Skypea's extra jumps offer mobility but no combat advantage.
Rare
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Mink | +20% sprint speed, +20% jump height |
| Orc | +15% max HP, +15% damage |
Mink is purely a mobility race — useful for traversal, but it won't help you hit harder. Orc gives modest, well-rounded combat buffs that edge out the Uncommon options but fall short of anything in the Epic tier and above.
Epic
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Demon | +35% max HP, +20% sprint speed, +30% damage |
| Vampire | +30% max HP, +25% damage, +5% lifesteal |
Epic races represent a significant jump in power. Vampire is particularly strong because of its 5% lifesteal, which lets you sustain through boss fights without relying on healing items. Demon trades lifesteal for a sprint speed buff and slightly higher raw damage, making it better for players who prioritize mobility alongside offense.

Legendary
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Vessel | +40% max HP, +20% Sukuna damage, +35% damage |
| Limitless | +40% max HP, +25% Gojo damage, +30% damage |
| Player | +45% max HP, +20% Jinwoo damage, +40% damage |
| Shinigami | +50% max HP, +20% Aizen damage, +45% damage |
| Shadowborn | +55% max HP, +20% shadow damage, +50% damage |
| Hollow | +60% defense, +20% Ichigo damage, +50% damage |
Legendary races all follow a similar template: a large max HP increase, a general damage buff, and a bonus tied to a specific move set. Hollow stands out because it boosts defense by 60% instead of raw HP, giving it a different survivability profile. Shadowborn and Shinigami offer the highest general damage numbers in this tier. If you use Sukuna, Gojo, Jinwoo, Aizen, Ichigo, or shadow abilities, the matching Legendary race amplifies that move set by 20–25%.
Mythical
| Race | Stat buffs |
|---|---|
| Oni | +65% max HP, +55% damage, +20% melee damage multiplier, 10% damage reduction |
| Kitsune | +60% max HP, +50% damage, +10% sword damage multiplier, +10% melee damage multiplier, +25% luck multiplier |
| Leviathan | +65% max HP, +60% damage, +17% sword damage multiplier, +5% lifesteal |
| Slime | +70% max HP, +65% damage, +17% sword damage multiplier, +3% lifesteal, 10% damage reduction |
| Servant | +75% max HP, +67% damage, +17% melee damage multiplier, +4% lifesteal, 10% damage reduction |
Mythical races are the strongest options in Sailor Piece by a wide margin. Servant currently holds the highest raw stat totals, with 75% bonus max HP, 67% bonus damage, and both lifesteal and damage reduction built in. Slime is a close second, trading a bit of HP and damage for a sword damage multiplier. Leviathan offers the highest lifesteal among Mythicals at 5%, making it excellent for sustained fights. Kitsune is unique for its 25% luck multiplier, which affects drop rates and can accelerate your progression in ways that raw combat stats cannot.
Oni rounds out the Mythical tier with a strong melee-focused kit. Its 20% melee damage multiplier paired with 10% damage reduction makes it a durable brawler, though it lacks the lifesteal that Servant, Slime, and Leviathan enjoy.

How to get Race Reroll items
Race Rerolls are Epic-rarity drops that come from defeating enemies. Both regular mobs and bosses can drop them, but bosses have a significantly higher drop rate. This includes main world bosses and mini bosses scattered across the various islands.
Step 1: Farm bosses consistently. Focus on whichever boss you can defeat quickly and reliably, since the drop is RNG-based and more kills means more chances.
Step 2: Once a Race Reroll appears in your inventory, open your inventory screen and click on the Race Reroll item.
Step 3: Confirm the reroll by pressing "Yes" when prompted. Your current race will be overwritten immediately with the new result — there is no way to undo a roll.

Which race should you aim for?
For general combat power, Servant and Slime are the top targets. Both offer massive HP pools, high damage, lifesteal, and damage reduction in a single package. If you use sword-based attacks, Slime's 17% sword damage multiplier gives it a slight edge. If you prefer melee combat, Servant's 17% melee damage multiplier and higher base stats make it the better pick.
For farming efficiency, Fishman remains valuable even at higher levels. The 15% income and 15% EXP bonuses compound over long grinding sessions, and since Race Rerolls are farmable, you can always switch back to a combat race later when you need it for boss fights.
Vampire deserves a mention for players who haven't yet hit Legendary or Mythical. At only Epic rarity (4% drop chance), it's far more attainable than the top-tier options, and its 5% lifesteal provides meaningful sustain that most races in its tier and below simply don't have.
Keep in mind that every reroll completely replaces your current race. There's no way to store a previous race or swap between them, so think carefully before confirming a roll — especially if you're already sitting on something Legendary or Mythical.
