Seregios is a 6★ Flying Wyvern monstie in Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, covered head to tail in razor-sharp scales it can launch like projectiles. It exists in three forms — standard Seregios, Invasive Seregios, and Exotic Seregios — and getting your hands on one requires either raiding the right dens or forcing the monster to retreat in battle.
Quick answer: Seregios eggs spawn in monster dens at Mt. Canalta in the Canalta Timberland region. To guarantee a Seregios egg, fight a wild Seregios and either score high enough to make it retreat or hit it with a Paintball — every egg in its retreat den will be Seregios.

Where to find Seregios eggs
The standard Seregios inhabits Mt. Canalta within the Canalta Timberland. You can stumble across its eggs by raiding random monster dens in that area, but den eggs are randomized, so there is no guarantee a Seregios egg will appear on any given run.
The reliable method is to locate a wild Seregios in the Mt. Canalta habitat and battle it. Two things can force a retreat. First, earning a high battle score — winning Head-to-Heads, breaking parts, and finishing quickly all contribute. Second, using a Paintball item during the fight. Once the Seregios retreats, follow it back to its den. Every egg inside will belong to that specific species, removing the randomness entirely. Hatch the egg at a stable to add Seregios to your roster.

Seregios monstie stats and attack types
| Attribute | Detail |
|---|---|
| Monstie Rank | 6★ |
| Genus | Flying Wyvern |
| Element | Non-Elemental |
| Normal Attack Type | Technical |
| Enraged Attack Type | Speed |
| Riding Actions | Fly, Jump, Melee Attack, Roar |
When Seregios is calm, it favors Technical attacks. The moment it becomes enraged, it switches entirely to Speed. Keep this in mind when choosing your own attack types during Head-to-Head matchups — you'll want Power attacks against its normal Technical stance, and Power again loses to Speed, so switch to Technical when it rages.
Seregios stat trends
| Stat | Rating (out of 10) |
|---|---|
| HP | 6 |
| Attack | 7 |
| Speed | 7 |
| Defense | 7 |
Seregios is a well-rounded offensive monstie with solid Attack, Speed, and Defense, but slightly lower HP. It works well as a versatile damage dealer that can also serve as a flying mount for overworld traversal.

Invasive Seregios damage type weaknesses
When fighting the Invasive variant as a boss, its body parts respond differently to weapon types. Choosing the right damage type matters for breaking parts efficiently.
| Body Part | Slash | Pierce | Blunt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Head | ✕ | ✕ | ◯ |
| Wings | ◯ | ✕ | ✕ |
| Legs | ◯ | ✕ | ✕ |
| Tail | ✕ | ◯ | ✕ |
Blunt damage is the way to go for the head, Slash works on wings and legs, and Pierce handles the tail. This is especially relevant for the Invasive encounter, where a Hammer (Blunt weapon) is mandatory for the repel mechanic.
Invasive Seregios location
The Invasive Seregios lurks on the northwest side of the Azuria Plains — not in the Canalta Timberland where regular Seregios lives. To reach it, fast travel to the Mirror Lake Catavan Stand, swim northeast to an air vent rising from the water, switch to a flying monstie, ride the updraft, and glide northwest onto a high ledge. Head uphill and over the crest to find a mountain-enclosed area below. That is the Invasive Seregios's territory.
Before entering the territory, collect all three sets of tracks scattered around the area. You'll need a flying monstie to reach the ledges where they're located. The clues hint at deflecting the monster's hardened scales back at it using a Hammer — and one of the track locations even has a Hammer sitting there as a hint.

How to repel Invasive Seregios
This fight is one of the trickiest Invasive encounters in the game. The Invasive Seregios can one-shot your entire party, and the puzzle solution is unintuitive. Set your battle speed to normal before engaging — you need to see visual cues that fast-forward can obscure.
Step 1: Equip a Hammer before starting the fight. The Bone Hammer works perfectly and is cheap to craft. The specific skill on the Hammer matters: you need a multi-target skill like Sweet Spot, Perfect Strike, or Perfect Crush. If you don't have one, check the Special Goods Store for Perfect Strike.

Step 2: Enter battle and survive the first two turns. On turn one, Invasive Seregios uses Shredding Scales, which will almost certainly wipe your party and cost you a Heart. On turn two, it follows up with Aerial Chaser on a single target. There is nothing productive you can do during these turns — just endure.
Step 3: On the third turn, Rudy will announce that "the real fight has begun." Invasive Seregios will use Invasive Onslaught Roar. Watch the color of the aura during this roar very carefully — it tells you what attack type Scale Shots will use on the following turn.
Step 4: On the turn after the roar, use your Hammer's multi-target skill (Sweet Spot, Perfect Strike, etc.) with the attack type that beats the color you saw. The color-to-counter mapping works like this:
| Roar Aura Color | Indicates Attack Type | Counter With |
|---|---|---|
| Red | Power | Speed |
| Green | Technical | Power |
| Blue | Speed | Technical |
Step 5: If you counter correctly, you'll deflect the scales back at Invasive Seregios, forcing it to flee to its den. You have two chances to land this counter before it uses Shredding Scales again, which will likely end the fight. Conserve Stamina in the early turns so you can afford the Hammer skill when the moment arrives.

Invasive Seregios repel reward — Astalos egg
Once the Invasive Seregios retreats, enter its den to find an endangered species egg. Hatching it produces an Astalos, a thunder-element Flying Wyvern that has a mutant variant called Boltreaver Astalos. To unlock the Boltreaver mutation, you need to release Astalos into a thunder elemental area containing three or more thunder elemental monsters. Broadleaf Basin is a strong candidate since Tobi-Kadachi already lives there, and Astalos itself counts as the second thunder monster — meaning you only need to introduce one more, such as Zinogre, Khezu, or Lagiacrus.
Seregios variants at a glance
| Variant | Where Found | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Seregios (standard) | Mt. Canalta, Canalta Timberland | Hatchable monstie, 6★ rank |
| Invasive Seregios | Northwest Azuria Plains (night only) | Boss encounter, repel puzzle rewards Astalos egg |
| Exotic Seregios | Ogden's side story chain | Encountered during "Ogden's Theory" quest |
Seregios is a strong addition to any monstie stable thanks to its balanced stats and useful riding actions, particularly Fly and Roar. The Invasive variant is among the more punishing boss puzzles in MHS3, but once you know the Hammer-and-aura trick, the fight becomes a matter of reading colors and pressing the right button at the right time. Just remember to keep that battle speed on normal.
