Start the Flexile Spines Wish by speaking to the Seamstress in Far Fields, then gather 25 Spine Cores from nearby Hokers. This short farm grants the Drifter’s Cloak, which lets you glide and ride updrafts to reach new paths and speed up traversal.

Start the Flexile Spines Wish

Step 1: Reach the Far Fields’ lower section and look for a large open chamber with a balloon-like dwelling suspended overhead. Climb the wooden platforms to enter the home.

Step 2: Talk to the Seamstress to receive the Flexile Spines Wish (Hunt type). Your objective is to deliver 25 Spine Cores. This Wish is taken directly from the NPC, not from a notice board.

Farm Spine Cores from Hokers

Hokers are spherical, floating bugs ringed with spikes. You’ll find several in the rooms immediately to the right (east) of the Seamstress’ house. They drift around and primarily become dangerous when provoked, firing spines in multiple directions.

Step 1: Move one room east of the Seamstress to locate Hokers. Stay slightly below or off to one side to avoid direct line-of-fire when they release spines.

Step 2: Strike a Hoker once to trigger its volley, but avoid over-damaging it so you can farm multiple volleys. If it’s above you, jump and perform an upward slash with Up + Attack.

Step 3: Collect the Cores from lodged spines. Projectiles stick into walls or the ground; hit a lodged spike to pop out a small orb, then walk over it to add one Spine Core. Interactable spikes glow briefly and disappear if ignored, so sweep the room promptly.

Step 4: Repeat on the same Hoker. After you’ve collected the easy orbs, tag the Hoker again to force another volley and gather more Cores. Expect a final burst when it dies—step back to avoid the last salvo.

Step 5: Reset enemies as needed. If spawns thin out, sit at the bench inside the Seamstress’ house to replenish health and respawn Hokers. Alternatively, transition between rooms to refresh them. Continue until your Wish tracker shows 25 Spine Cores.

Efficient Farming Routes

Method 1: Near-House Bench Loop (fastest)

Step 1: Farm the first room east of the Seamstress, cycling each Hoker for two or three volleys before it expires.

Step 2: Return to the Seamstress’ bench, sit once to reset spawns, then re-enter the room and repeat.

Step 3: Maintain this short loop. With consistent cycles, reaching 25 Cores typically takes only a few minutes.

Method 2: Two-Room Sweep

Step 1: Clear the first and second rooms to the east, gathering Cores from every lodged spine you can reach.

Step 2: When drops slow down, move back and forth between the two rooms to refresh enemies and continue collecting.

Step 3: If respawns stall, use the Seamstress’s bench to fully reset before another sweep.

Turn In and Use the Drifter’s Cloak

Step 1: Return to the Seamstress and hand over all 25 Spine Cores. A short scene plays, and you receive the Drifter’s Cloak.

Step 2: Glide and ride wind currents. Hold the jump button to balloon the cloak and slow your descent: Hold Jump. You can now ride updrafts and cross wider gaps, improving route options and platforming consistency.

Step 3: Put it to work immediately. Use the updrafts above the Seamstress’ home to reach previously unreachable platforms and resume the main path. Be mindful that a nearby stone-clad guardian may activate when you pass through again.

Practical Tips and Safety

  • Trigger, then harvest. One light hit to force a volley; collect from lodged spikes; repeat for extra Cores before the Hoker dies.
  • Mind the glow and the timer. Lodged spikes that can be harvested glow briefly and vanish if you’re slow to collect.
  • Expect a final burst. When a Hoker expires, it releases one more set of spines—back off to avoid chip damage.
  • Control your angle. Upward slashes from just below a Hoker keep you safe while reliably triggering volleys.
  • Don’t chase risky drops. If a spine lodges in a hazardous spot, skip it and reset spawns; the bench is close.
  • If nothing seems to drop, you’re likely missing the lodged-spike hit. Strike the stuck spine first, then grab the orb.

With a short eastward loop and quick bench resets, you’ll hit 25 Cores fast. The Drifter’s Cloak immediately improves mobility, opening updraft routes and safer crossings throughout Far Fields.
