Stolen Heart in The Forge: How to Spawn It and Why It Matters

The Stolen Heart is one of the rarest ores in Roblox game The Forge, and it sits right in the middle of the late‑game Raven Cave grind. It only drops from a specific rock type, has an extremely low appearance rate, and is required to push the Raven questline into true endgame gear.

Stolen Heart basics and drop rate

Stolen Heart is a unique ore used primarily for Raven Quest 3 in the Raven Cave. Its key properties are:

  • Source: Only drops from Heart of the Island rocks.
  • Location: Inside the Raven Cave in Frostspire Expanse.
  • Durability of source rock: About 32,000–32,500 HP.
  • Drop behavior: Each Heart of the Island rock yields exactly one ore when fully mined.
  • Chance to be Stolen Heart: Roughly a 1 in 54,321 roll per ore.
  • Ore power: Around a 15.4x rock multiplier when used as a rock trait.

There is no guarantee Stolen Heart will drop from a given Heart of the Island. You simply roll the very low chance each time you fully break one that is currently showing Stolen Heart inside.

Requirements before you can reach the Stolen Heart

You cannot farm Stolen Heart from the start of The Forge. A few progression gates need to be cleared first:

  • Level requirement: Reach level 70.
  • Island access: Unlock the Frostspire Expanse island.
  • Quest requirement: Complete the first two Raven quests to open the Raven Cave.

After the second Raven quest, you receive a cave key and can open the red Raven Cave door. This new cave contains tougher enemies like Diamond Spiders, Demonic Spiders, Mini Demonic Spiders, and the Demonic Queen Spider, as well as new rock types, including the Heart of the Island.

How Heart of the Island rocks work

Stolen Heart never drops from normal crystals. It is tied to a special rock called the Heart of the Island.

  • Visual: A crystal‑like rock with a floating red orb at its center.
  • Spawn context: Appears in place of one of the red Raven Cave crystals (small, medium, or large).
  • Health: Roughly 32,000–32,500 HP, significantly tankier than normal Raven Cave rocks.
  • Yield: Exactly one ore per full break, regardless of your yield traits.

There is also a static decorative “Heart of the Island” object in the cave that cannot be mined. The actual farmable Heart of the Island rock looks similar but lacks the extra red growths on top and shows a specific ore floating inside.

How to spawn Heart of the Island rocks in Raven Cave

Spawning the Heart of the Island consistently is the first bottleneck. There are two main methods.

Method 1: Clear crystals until a Heart of the Island appears

Step 1: Enter the Raven Cave and locate the red crystal rocks (small, medium, and large variants). These are the rocks that can be replaced by a Heart of the Island spawn.

Step 2: Start systematically mining these red crystals. Focus on clearing the cave rather than cherry‑picking; each destroyed crystal gives the game another chance to spawn a Heart of the Island in its place.

Step 3: After each crystal break, look for any rock that matches the Heart of the Island visual: a crystal form with a floating red orb in the center and higher health than normal.

This method works well if you are comfortable grinding in public servers and want to combine ore farming with enemy drops and Raven Cave combat.

Method 2: Server reset cycling with a private server

Step 1: Join a private server where you control the resets. This is ideal because each rejoin fully refreshes the Raven Cave’s ore layout.

Step 2: Enter the Raven Cave and quickly sweep the area, checking all red crystals for a Heart of the Island spawn. You do not need to mine anything if you are only scouting.

Step 3: If you see no Heart of the Island, leave the game and immediately rejoin the same private server. Then repeat the quick scan.

Every rejoin rerolls the cave’s ore placements, including the rare Heart of the Island. This turns a time‑based grind into a sequence of fast checks, which is often more efficient given how rare the spawn is.

How to safely mine a Heart of the Island rock

Once you spot a Heart of the Island, mining it is a mini survival challenge. The surrounding enemies, especially Demonic Spiders and their smaller variants, respawn aggressively.

Step 1: Clear the nearby spiders before you start mining. Focus on Demonic Spiders and Mini Demonic Spiders around the rock so they do not interrupt you during the long mining window.

Step 2: Drink a Miner potion and a Luck potion if you have them. Miner potions help you handle the rock’s 30k+ HP, and Luck potions maximize your odds of rolling better ores, including the minuscule Stolen Heart chance.

Step 3: Position yourself where spider knockback and projectiles are least disruptive. Many players prefer standing slightly elevated or on the rock’s edge so they can keep swinging even if enemies respawn.

Step 4: Mine until the rock breaks and observe the single ore drop. If it is not Stolen Heart, you simply repeat the process on the next Heart of the Island spawn.

Since each rock only yields one ore and Stolen Heart is not guaranteed, traits that improve raw mining power are more valuable here than yield; extra yield does not create extra rolls.

How to reroll the ore inside a single Heart of the Island

Heart of the Island rocks do not just spawn or despawn; the ore visible inside them can change over time if you let the rock regenerate.

Step 1: When you find a Heart of the Island, look closely at the floating ore shown in its center. That visual tells you what the rock will drop if you fully mine it at that moment (for example, Molten Frost, Veljar ore, Void Fractal, Frost Fossil, or Stolen Heart).

Step 2: If the visible ore is something you do not want, stop mining and leave the rock alone. Do not break it completely; allow it to regenerate.

Step 3: Wait roughly 30 seconds near the rock. After this short cooldown, the Heart of the Island will refresh internally and can show a completely different ore in the center.

Step 4: Check the center again. If it still is not Stolen Heart, repeat the wait‑and‑refresh cycle. Only commit to fully mining the rock once you see Stolen Heart displayed.

Using this method, a single rare Heart of the Island spawn can be converted into many separate ore rolls, which is crucial when you are chasing a 1 in 54k‑range drop. Some players try to spawn two Hearts of the Island near each other so they can alternate between them while each one regenerates its internal ore.

Stolen Heart in Raven Quest 3 and Berserker armor

The main in‑game reason to chase Stolen Heart is Raven Quest 3, which leads into a powerful late‑game armor set.

After you open the Raven Cave and explore the hidden area behind the bushes inside it, you will find the Raven NPC again near the Dragon Head pickaxe. Talking to the Raven at this point unlocks Raven Quest 3, which asks you to:

  • Kill 25 Mini Demonic Spiders.
  • Kill 10 Demonic Spiders.
  • Kill 1 Demonic Queen Spider.
  • Bring 1 Stolen Heart.

The spider‑kill requirements can be completed by repeatedly clearing the deeper Raven Cave rooms. The bottleneck is the single Stolen Heart, which must be obtained through the Heart of the Island process described earlier.

Once all the enemy kills are done and the Stolen Heart ore is in your inventory, returning to the Raven and completing the quest grants the blueprint for the Berserker armor set. Berserker armor is designed as a late‑game option, offering strong stats for players who have already cleared most of the main progression and are comfortable in the Raven Cave’s damage environment.

Where Stolen Heart spawns and what is guaranteed

A few clarifications help set expectations for the grind:

  • Spawn location: Stolen Heart does not “drop” in the wild; it appears only as the ore inside Heart of the Island rocks in the Raven Cave.
  • Non‑guaranteed drop: Even when you break a Heart of the Island rock, Stolen Heart is never guaranteed. Every ore roll is independent, with roughly a 1 in 54,321 chance.
  • Quest gating: Raven Quest 3 cannot be bypassed with alternative items; you must supply one actual Stolen Heart ore to the Raven.

With that in mind, the best way to respect your time is to combine methods: use a private server or fast lobby cycling to find Hearts of the Island quickly, then rely on the internal ore regeneration trick to get as many rolls as possible out of each spawn, all while running Luck potions whenever you have them.

The result is a long, RNG‑heavy grind, but the payoff is both mechanical, through Berserker armor, and practical, since Stolen Heart’s high rock multiplier makes it one of the strongest ores for rock builds in The Forge.
