Sweet-Stinger is a late-game rod in Fisch tied to Nectar Den in the Lost Jungle expansion. It is not a random drop, and it does not come from a quest reward screen. You unlock it by finishing the Nectar Den bestiary, then buying the rod at its purchase point inside Nectar Den.

Sweet-Stinger Rod unlock requirement
The trigger is simple. Your Nectar Den bestiary must be fully completed. After that, the rod becomes available to buy at the end of the Nectar Den pool.
You know it worked when Nectar Den shows as complete, and the Sweet-Stinger purchase spot is usable. If the rod is still locked, the completion condition has not been met yet.

Sweet-Stinger Rod location in Fisch
Sweet-Stinger is found in Nectar Den, which sits beyond the Living Garden path in Lost Jungle. The route runs through the second area, then past the spot associated with Verdant Oath. From there, move past the leaves and vines near the Nectar Koi abundance and go through the narrow opening into Nectar Den.
Inside Nectar Den, the rod is sold near the end of the pool. It is not placed back in Toxic Grove or Living Garden, so reaching the hidden Nectar Den area is the part that matters.

What you need before entering Nectar Den
There are two practical requirements before you can reach the rod. First, you need the Gas Mask to enter the toxic cave path in Lost Jungle. Second, you need the Toxic-Proof Raft to continue toward Living Garden.
Nectar Den also has a survival requirement. A pollinated or bee-protection style buff is needed to avoid dying in the area. If you enter Nectar Den without that protection, staying alive long enough to finish the bestiary or buy the rod can become the real blocker.

Sweet-Stinger Rod passive behavior
Sweet-Stinger has three notable effects. It can apply the Honey mutation, it can trigger a sting-like slash on the progress bar that speeds catches, and it can pull in a random fish on its own at intervals. It also carries Nectar Bloom hunt focus, which makes it useful in Nectar Den hunting loops, especially around Queen Bee Serpent spawns.
The rod’s stat profile is strongest in lure speed, luck, and weight handling. Its weak point is resilience, which stays negative unless you offset it with an enchant.

Why Sweet-Stinger stays useful after unlock
Sweet-Stinger is not only a collection reward. Its combination of 180 percent lure speed, 172 percent luck, Infinite kg, and hunt-focused utility makes it viable beyond the unlock itself. If you are still farming Nectar Den or chasing Queen Bee Serpent-related activity, it remains one of the cleaner fits for that part of the expansion.
The key thing to remember is that the unlock is deterministic. Finish the Nectar Den bestiary, go to the rod’s spot in Nectar Den, pay 150,000 C$, and Sweet-Stinger is yours.
