Unlocking the Yamato Sword in Sailor Piece on Roblox

The Yamato sword is one of the most sought-after weapons in Sailor Piece, the anime-inspired Roblox experience. Drawing clear inspiration from Vergil's iconic blade in the Devil May Cry series, it specializes in rapid slashes that produce dark blue visual effects on impact. Despite its ordinary appearance, the sword's speed and raw damage output make it a top-tier pick for boss farming and PvE combat.

Quick answer: Travel to Judgement Island, collect specific materials by repeatedly defeating the Yamato boss, roll the Swordblessed Race, gather 30,000 Gems, and turn everything in to the Yamato NPC at the top of the island's layered hill.

Finding the Yamato NPC on Judgement Island

The Yamato sword is purchased from a specific NPC — not looted directly from a boss. You'll find the Yamato NPC on Judgement Island. The fastest way to get there is by using a teleport crystal, which warps you straight to the island without any sailing.

Step 1: Use a teleport crystal to warp to Judgement Island. If you don't have one, you'll need to sail or use another fast-travel method to reach the area.

Step 2: Once on the island, head to the left side and look for a tiered, hill-like structure with several layers you can climb.

Step 3: Climb to the top of the structure. The Yamato NPC is a white-haired character wearing a blue coat and carrying a sword. Interact with the NPC to open the exchange menu.

The NPC will not hand over the weapon until you have every required material in your inventory. There is no partial turn-in — all items must be present at once.

Required materials for the Yamato sword

Obtaining the Yamato sword demands a mix of boss drops, a specific race, and a large pile of Gems. Here is the full shopping list:

MaterialQuantityHow to Obtain
Blade Sovereign Title1Yamato boss drop (1% chance)
Swordblessed Race1Random roll via Race Rerolls
Azure Heart1Yamato boss drop (0.5% chance)
Silent Storm3Yamato boss drop (1.15% chance)
Yamato Essence7Yamato boss drop (2.5% chance)
Frozen Will14Yamato boss drop (4.25% chance)
Gems30,000Quests and treasure chests

Four of the seven requirements — Azure Heart, Silent Storm, Yamato Essence, and Frozen Will — plus the Blade Sovereign Title all come exclusively from the Yamato boss. That means the bulk of your grind happens in a single location.

Yamato boss mechanics and spawn timer

The Yamato boss spawns at the center of Judgement Island roughly every five minutes, making it one of the more farmable bosses in Sailor Piece. It has approximately 850,000,000 HP and does not display a visible level, similar to the bosses found on Shibuya Station.

Players running meta Devil Fruits with maxed-out Devil Fruit stats and Haki levels should be able to take the boss down without too much trouble. If your build is still developing, grouping up with other players on the island can speed things up considerably since the respawn window is short enough to chain kills back to back.

Full Yamato boss drop table

Every kill awards multiple items from the table below. Guaranteed drops like Trait Rerolls and Race Rerolls land every time, while the materials you actually need for the sword sit at much lower percentages.

DropDrop Rate
Trait Reroll100%
Race Reroll100%
Boss Ticket70%
Void Reaver Artifact65%
Dungeon Key60%
Frozen Will4.25%
Yamato Essence2.50%
Silent Storm1.15%
Blade Sovereign Title1%
Imperial Outfit0.90%
Aura Heart0.50%

The Blade Sovereign Title at 1% and the Azure Heart (listed in-game as Aura Heart in the drop pool) at 0.5% are the two biggest bottlenecks. Expect dozens of kills before both land.

Boosting your Luck stat helps with rare drops. Equip artifacts that raise Luck, and keep an eye out for temporary Luck boost events the developers occasionally run.

Getting the Swordblessed Race

Unlike the boss-drop materials, the Swordblessed Race cannot be farmed from any enemy. You obtain it by using Race Rerolls from your inventory and hoping for a favorable random result. Since the Yamato boss drops Race Rerolls at a 100% rate, every kill gives you another chance to roll.

The Swordblessed Race itself provides meaningful combat stats once equipped: 3% Lifesteal, 80% Max HP, 10% Damage Reduction, 20% Sword Damage, and 75% Damage. It is worth keeping even after you finish the Yamato grind.

Earning 30,000 Gems efficiently

Gems are the universal currency requirement for the Yamato exchange. Two reliable methods keep the Gems flowing while you farm the boss:

Complete quests. Quest-giver NPCs exist on every island. Repeatable quests are the steadiest source of Gems over time, and you can knock them out between boss spawns.

Open treasure chests. Enemies across the world drop chests that contain Gems alongside other loot. Farming mobs near Judgement Island while waiting for the boss to respawn is an easy way to double-dip on progress.

How to confirm you got the sword

Once every material is in your inventory, speak to the Yamato NPC again. The exchange completes instantly, and the Yamato sword appears in your weapon slot. You'll know it worked when your attacks start producing the signature dark blue slash effects during combat. If the NPC dialogue doesn't offer the trade, double-check that you have the exact quantities listed — particularly the Swordblessed Race, which is easy to overlook since it sits in a different inventory category than the boss drops.

Notable bonus drops from the Yamato boss

While grinding for the sword, you may pick up a couple of rare cosmetics and utility items worth holding onto. The Blade Sovereign Title grants a 65% Damage boost when equipped. The Imperial Outfit, which drops at just 0.9%, provides 90% Defense, 65% Damage, and 15% Damage Reduction at its base enhancement level (E0). Neither is required for the Yamato sword, but both are strong additions to any build.

Given the five-minute respawn and the sheer number of kills needed for the rarest materials, unlocking the Yamato sword is a marathon rather than a sprint. Prioritize Luck-boosting gear, keep rolling those Race Rerolls between fights, and the blade will eventually be yours.
