Weak Legacy 2’s anniversary update turns the Demon Slayer-inspired RPG into a winter grindfest built entirely around gift boxes. The whole map is covered in snow, new fighting styles sit behind very low drop rates, and a handful of gamepasses quietly decide how efficient your farming will be.
How anniversary gifts work
The core of the event is simple: gifts spawn on every server at fixed intervals, and opening them is the only way to roll for most anniversary items.
| Rule | Details |
|---|---|
| Spawn timer | Every 300 seconds (5 minutes) per server |
| Interaction | Walk up to a box and hold E to open |
| Ownership | One-time only: once a player opens a box, it disappears for everyone else |
The number of boxes spawned scales with how many people are in that server.
| Players on server | Gift boxes spawned |
|---|---|
| 1–2 | 1 |
| 3–5 | 2 |
| 5–8 | 3 |
| 8–11 | 4 |
| 11–13 | 5 |
| 13–15 | 6 |
Low-pop servers are calmer but spawn fewer gifts; busy servers spawn more boxes but every ping advantage and dash skill starts to matter.
All Weak Legacy 2 anniversary items and drop rates
Every event item, from basic cosmetics to the rarest fighting styles, comes from these gifts unless you buy it outright with Robux. The odds are heavily skewed toward cosmetic gear.
| Anniversary item | Type | Drop chance | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Candy Cane V2 | Fighting Style | 5% | Festive combat style; easier to get than the katanas and scythe |
| Christmas Hat | Accessory (head) | 45% | Very common; one of the most frequent drops |
| Anniversary Glasses | Accessory | 45% | Also extremely common |
| Ghost Katana | Fighting Style | 2.05% | Rare event katana |
| Time Katana | Fighting Style | 0.6% | High-mobility, stun-focused style; can also be bought directly |
| Anniversary Scythe | Fighting Style | 0.45% | Rarest weapon in the pool |
| Anniversary Gift Notifier | Gift-tracking item / gamepass-style | 1% | Marks gift spawns, massively improving farm efficiency |
On average, Time Katana will appear roughly once every 167 boxes, while Anniversary Scythe sits closer to one in 222. The numbers are averages, not guarantees, but they give a sense of how long you may be running laps.
Note: there is also an x2 Drop Amount gamepass that doubles your chances of landing the rarest items from gifts.
Anniversary Scythe fighting style
Anniversary Scythe is both the rarest anniversary weapon and one of the most oppressive styles in the update. Its entire kit revolves around long reach and repeated block breaks.
| Move | Input | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Attack | Mouse Left Click | Fast scythe combo for standard damage and hit-confirming |
| Crimson Slashes | X | Three-part sequence: whirlwind, launcher, and slam; breaks guard |
| Anniversary Slash Barrage | Z | Four extended-range slashes with strong damage and another block break |
Two separate block-breaking skills in one style make it especially punishing for defensive players and strong in both PvE mob clears and PvP pressure strings.
Time Katana fighting style
Time Katana trades some raw pressure for mobility and combo potential. Its numbers are slightly better than Ghost Katana in rarity, but lower than the Scythe.
| Move | Input | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Attack | Mouse Left Click | Quick sword combo; easy to weave into dashes |
| Futuristic Edge: Cutting Fury | X | Fast forward dash that stuns, deals damage, knocks back, and breaks guard |
| Strike of the Hourglass | Z | Time dash through the target that lands 10 hits; can be blocked |
Cutting Fury doubles as both a gap-closer and a guard break, which makes it a natural opener. Strike of the Hourglass is more of a payoff: if you’ve already broken guard or forced a mistake, the multihit dash melts health bars.
Time Katana is also sold directly in the in-game shop for Robux if you do not want to rely on the 0.6 percent pull rate.
Ghost Katana and Candy Cane V2
Ghost Katana fills the role of a rare, event-limited sword style: rarer than Candy Cane V2, easier to obtain than Time Katana and the Scythe. It does not have the same extreme drop rate, but still demands a meaningful number of boxes unless you get lucky.
Candy Cane V2 is a holiday fighting style with a much friendlier 5 percent chance. It is designed as a practical mid-game option for players who might never see the top-end drops but still want an event weapon in their kit.
Anniversary Gift Notifier and other gamepasses
The event quietly introduces a set of gamepasses that change how efficient your grind is:
| Gamepass / item | Effect | Role in the event |
|---|---|---|
| Anniversary Gift Notifier | Marks gift spawn locations with large red circles on your screen | Eliminates guesswork; dramatically increases gifts opened per hour |
| x2 Drop Amount Gamepass | Doubles the chance to receive rare items from gifts | Best option if your goal is Time Katana or Anniversary Scythe |
| x2 Mastery Gamepass | Doubles mastery gain | Speeds up leveling of any fighting style, including all new event ones |
The notifier itself also drops from gifts at a 1 percent rate, so there is a path to get it without paying. If you do want to buy it manually, it can be found in the in-game shop under Products after pressing M.
Anniversary codes and progression boosts
The update ships with several anniversary-focused codes that feed into the same event loop: more spins, easier build resets, and a fresh way to tune your character before or during the grind.
| Code | Reward | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
25SPINSANNIVERSARY |
25 Spins | Large chunk of clan or breathing spins; often used in private servers |
ANNIVERSARYRESETRACE |
Race reset | Swaps race without additional cost if you want to rebuild around a new style |
ANNIVERSARYRESETBREATHING |
Breathing or Art reset | Lets you restructure your kit after pulling an anniversary weapon |
To redeem codes, open Weak Legacy 2 on Roblox, press M to bring up the menu, locate the code entry field, and paste the string exactly. Some of these codes are flagged to work best, or only, in private servers.
All older codes are disabled for this event window, so only the current anniversary and likes milestone codes are worth trying.
Free versus paid ways to get anniversary items
Every anniversary item technically has a free route: open enough gifts and you can pull anything, including the Scythe and notifier. Robux simply speeds that process up.
| Path | What you can obtain | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|
| Pure gift farming (F2P) | All event items, including notifier and weapons | Time-intensive; heavily luck-dependent for 0.6% and 0.45% drops |
| Buying items directly | Specific weapons like Time Katana, event passes | Skips randomness but costs Robux |
| Buying Gift Notifier / x2 Drop / x2 Mastery | Same item pool, higher effective pull rate and speed | Still not guaranteed; just more efficient farming |
There is no separate boss or quest chain tied to the new weapons. If you are used to grinding demons and raids for drops, this event instead turns you into a roaming courier, sprinting between spawn points on a strict five-minute cadence.
The anniversary event layers a simple mechanic—find a present, open it—on top of weakly transparent odds and very strong combat styles. If you want the rarest toys in Weak Legacy 2, the calculation is straightforward: learn efficient routes, keep an eye on server population, redeem the anniversary codes before you commit to a build, and decide early how much you are willing to lean on Robux-backed passes to tilt those sub‑1 percent chances in your favor.
