Rivalite is an Epic ore in The Forge that you mine in the Forgotten Kingdom. It only drops from two rock types: Basalt Veins and Volcanic Rock. The base mining chance is 1/569, so it’s normal to go several mines without seeing one.
Rivalite basics (rarity, chance, and what it does)
Rivalite is classified as Epic, with a 1/569 base chance and a 3.33x forging multiplier. When Rivalite is forged onto weapons, it applies a trait that increases critical hit chance by 20 percent, and that trait is limited to weapons rather than armor.
Rivalite also has a sell price of 49.95$.

Where to mine Rivalite (Forgotten Kingdom rock types)
You’re looking for two targets: Basalt Veins and Volcanic Rock. Both appear in the Forgotten Kingdom, including the Volcanic Depths area, where you can consistently find these rock types clustered together.
If you’re choosing one rock type to focus on, Basalt Veins are often the practical starting point because their mining requirement is lower than Volcanic Rock.

Mining requirements: Basalt Veins vs. Volcanic Rock
Basalt Veins require a base mining strength of 78. Volcanic Rock requires a base mining strength of 100, which effectively gates Rivalite farming behind stronger pickaxes if you want to include Volcanic Rock in your rotation.
If you can only meet the 78 threshold, you can still farm Rivalite by sticking to Basalt Veins.

Volcanic Depths route and a reliable vein cluster
The Volcanic Depths are reached by entering the Ruined Cave from the front entrance and taking the right-hand fork marked by a “Danger” sign. Near the Miner who sells the Magma Pickaxe, two Basalt Veins sit at the entrance to the Volcanic Depths, making it a common place to mine because you can work both at once.
There are additional Basalt Veins inside the Volcanic Depths, along with Volcanic Rock, deeper in the area if you meet the higher mining power requirement.
Luck and throughput: making a rare drop less painful
Luck directly affects your chances of landing rare ore rolls, including Rivalite. Players commonly use luck boosts before settling into a farming loop, especially when targeting low-probability drops like 1/569.
When you’re mining in busy spots, throughput matters as much as luck. If you can position yourself to hit multiple rocks in a tight cluster, you’ll cycle more drops per minute and reach the 1/569 hit more quickly in practice.

Using the ore preview and rock resets
While mining, the rock shows a mid-health preview of what ore is inside. If the preview isn’t what you want, you can stop mining and wait for the rock to reset, which also rerolls its contents. This is a common way to avoid finishing low-value drops when you’re specifically hunting for Rivalite.
Note: resetting a rock also ties up a spawn point that other players may be trying to use, so it’s worth being considerate in high-traffic areas like Volcanic Depths.
If you’re set up for Basalt Veins (78 mining strength), Rivalite is already on the table. Volcanic Rock becomes relevant once you reach 100 mining strength, adding more eligible nodes without changing the core reality of the farm: Rivalite is rare, and consistency comes from mining volume.
