Where Winds Meet Character Codes: How to import, share, and the best presets

Where Winds Meet turns character creation into its own pastime, with dozens of sliders, makeup layers, and a surprisingly deep gallery system. If you’d rather fight bandits than spend an hour nudging cheekbones, character customization codes let you drop straight into the game with a polished look someone else has already built.

How character customization codes work in Where Winds Meet

Character customization codes are shareable strings that capture a full face preset. Importing one recreates another player’s design on your character, which you can then keep as-is or edit further.

The system supports two formats:

  • Text codes – the alphanumeric strings you copy and paste.
  • QR images – scannable images that bundle the same data.

These codes are tied to the game’s character editor and Gallery. They do not grant outfits, mounts, or currency; they just reconstruct the appearance data the original player saved.

How to import a character customization code

You can bring in a shared face design during character creation or later through the Appearance menu.

Stage Where to open What you can import
New character Character Creator > Appearance / Gallery Complete face presets, styles, Gallery designs
Existing character Main menu > Appearance Face layouts, outfit looks, Gallery designs

When you choose to import:

  • Paste a customization code into the text field, or
  • Upload an image that contains a QR code.

Once the preview appears, apply it to your current character. The game lets you decide whether the preset should overwrite the full face or only specific parts ,such as makeup or pupils, depending on the design.

Note: QR and text codes are interchangeable for appearance. The QR option is mainly there to make sharing on social platforms and external sites easier.

Best character customization codes for female characters

Female presets in the community skew toward dramatic makeup, sharp silhouettes, and wuxia drama energy. These codes drop you into the game with a character that already looks tailored to high-fashion robes and heroic cutscenes.

Role / vibe Customization code Visual notes
Balanced wuxia heroine ARTaRfKXmEGDqpfImlO Clean, balanced face; works well with most early-game outfits.
Soft-featured swordswoman ARTaRfbLBC1e6gWHJdj Smoother contours and gentler makeup for players who prefer a less severe look.
High-contrast makeup ARTaRfGp0PdgeI9N9g7 Sharper eyeliner and bolder color; better suited to darker robes.
Refined court noble ARTaRfD082Xr73hQrD0 Elegant features with measured makeup; feels at home in ceremonial outfits.
Expressive heroine ARTaRgtY+W8qAgncPVN Stronger cheek and eye definition; faces read clearly even at mid-distance.

Classic fantasy lead ARTaRiyV4rjpOmBTcIX Balanced proportions; easy to tweak if you want a starting point, not a final look.
Sharp-eyed wanderer ARTaRfGq2V9YNsQU8nl Narrower eyes and stronger nose bridge for a more intense expression.
Graceful minimalist ARTaRgjglYQ8fF2PEFP Simpler makeup; ideal if you plan to layer your own cosmetics later.
Red-and-black heroine ARTaRgSC/YjOZnrRHTY Color story that leans into red and black palettes; striking in darker environments.
Golden court style ARTaRfKz0E+qrNBW9Y6 Works especially well with ornate gold-trimmed outfits and jewelry.
Lady of Night ARTaRhCMy9tdmKFOA56 Darker eyes and sharper contrast; designed for nocturnal screenshots and moody scenes.
Black-and-gold elegance ARTaRghwkSsSFyFTeC+ Face tailored around black and gold themes; reads very “noble assassin”.

All of these can be tweaked once imported. If you like the eyes but not the lips, for example, you can keep the preset and simply redo the lip makeup layer.

Best character customization codes for male characters

Male presets range from classic wuxia swordsmen to more stylized faces. They tend to emphasize jawline, brow shape, and subtle scarring.

Role / vibe Customization code Visual notes
Standard wuxia lead ARTaRfKOhzQtAd9YCa3 Balanced, conventional hero look; fits virtually every armor style.
Scholar-swordsman ARTaRe0oeFJ3iwcfjlJ Softer jawline and calmer expression; good with robes and lighter weapons.
Veteran warrior ARTaRfFAAEF7B5UY5O Stronger lines and slightly rougher features; reads older without looking exaggerated.
Sharply styled fighter ARTaRikcBmxFR3TD5B High cheekbones and tighter eye shape; better for aggressive characters.
Rugged swordsman ARTaRfdbP+GnIMHUrWX Deeper-set eyes and more defined jaw give a hardened-traveler feel.
Calm wanderer ARTaRjtmM09Wm6URWML Neutral expression suited to role-play-heavy runs.
Stoic protagonist ARTaRj1BECFP5R1VM0F Firm brow and understated lips; good fit for cutscenes framed in close-up.
Sharper antihero ARTaRjrQTTaU18QifbK More angular nose and tighter mouth; leans darker in tone.
Lone swordsman ARTaRjr0Cv2DdwSfNj Subtly tired eyes and more pronounced lines; feels like someone who has seen a lot.
Refined martial artist ARTaRhKBbWFM7GOXYKl Clean, symmetrical features that suit high-discipline archetypes.
Classic Jianghu vagabond ARTaRgmJLtmlwYXZvzx Looser, more relaxed facial structure; ideal for free-spirited builds.
Hard-edged fighter ARTaRh8nai7/rslbNJK Sharper chin and stronger nose; looks good with scars and darker makeup.
Battle-scarred style ARTaRfcgK6Hm6grbjx/ Built around more aggressive detailing; pair with heavier armor sets.
Grim wanderer ARTaRf1y6JePjUfNw6s Darker features and a slightly harsher expression; good for morally grey runs.

As with the female presets, these can be treated as a base. If you want a specific scar pattern or pupil design, import the face, then head straight into makeup to layer on your own details.

Where Winds Meet’s customization tools extend beyond manual sliders.

  • Smart Customization can generate a face from a voice recording or an image. After choosing a body type, you can:
    • Record a short line of dialogue to create a character with traits inferred from your voice.
    • Upload a photo so the game can approximate those facial features.
  • The Gallery is a curated hub of player-made designs. You can:
    • Browse popular faces for both body types.
    • Apply any public design directly to your character.
    • Generate and share your own QR and text codes from the Share function.

When you apply a Gallery design, the game reconstructs the entire face structure and makeup. Hair choices may not always transfer perfectly, so it’s worth double-checking the hairstyle afterwards and matching it to the preview image.

What you can change after starting the game

Appearance isn’t locked in once you leave character creation. A dedicated Appearance menu allows you to revisit your look, although some changes consume specific items.

What you can change Item required Notes
Name Rename Certificate Lets you rename your character.
Body type Transformation Pill Switches between body types.
Face structure Water Lady Script Re-opens the full face sculpting tools.
Makeup layers Free Can be adjusted at will.
Hair color Inkshade Hairdye / Timeless Hairdye Used to recolor hair after creation.
Clothing colors Softweave / Rosycloud dye powders Applies recolors to outfits.
Weapons, clothing, mount skins Cosmetic unlocks Outfit plans can store and recall combinations.

There is also a story NPC, Cheng Xin, who offers full appearance changes once unlocked partway through the narrative. After the sequence where you escape Killerblade, travel through a mostly peaceful dungeon, and face the Heartless in a mental battle, Cheng Xin appears and offers future “face changes” in exchange for returning a flute. From then on, you can teleport back to this location whenever you want to redo your look.

None of these changes affect combat stats or progression. Appearance is purely cosmetic, so there is no penalty for experimenting.

Outfit plans and how they connect to customization codes

Beyond faces, Where Winds Meet lets you save full outfits as “Plans” and tie them to activities or regions. An outfit plan stores the clothing, weapon cosmetics, dyes, and sometimes additional styling details you have equipped.

  • Open the Appearance menu in-game.
  • Press the Outfit Plan button (F on keyboard, Y on Xbox controllers, △ on PlayStation).
  • Select an empty slot and choose Save to this plan to capture your current look.

Each plan can be renamed, given a custom cover image, and set to apply automatically in specific contexts. You still need to own every item the plan references; plans do not bypass unlock requirements.

Customization codes and QR images complement this system by letting you pull in faces and dye presets that you then wrap in outfit plans. A common pattern is:

  • Import a face code that matches a theme.
  • Apply dyes or cosmetics to align your armor with that theme.
  • Save the result as a plan so you can swap back to it later with one button.

Character codes in Where Winds Meet are essentially a shortcut to the good part: running through tenth-century China with a protagonist who already looks the way you imagined. Whether you take a code wholesale or treat it as a starting point for your own tweaks, the system makes it easy to avoid slider fatigue and still end up with a distinctive hero.
