Where Winds Meet: How to Finish the Charm Pouch Wandering Tale

Charm Pouch is one of the early Wandering Tales in Where Winds Meet, set around Halo Peak in the Qinghe region. It asks you to help Aunt Guo recover three coin bags her husband hid at places of “heavenly energy” after meeting a suspicious wandering master. The game gives almost no markers for these bags, so it is easy to waste time combing the mountainside.

This walkthrough explains where to start the tale, how to reach each of the three coin bags, and what you earn for completing it.

How to start the Charm Pouch Wandering Tale

Step 1: Travel to the Halo Peak teleport stone in Qinghe. Halo Peak sits west of Sundara Land’s Wayfarer location and is one of the first major exploration areas in the region.

Step 2: From the teleport stone, walk up the stone stairs a short distance, then look slightly to the right of the road. Near a small bamboo grove by the roadside, you will see Aunt Guo crouched over some rocks, clearly searching for something.

Step 3: Speak to Aunt Guo to trigger the Wandering Tale. She explains that a “master” convinced her husband to hide three charmed coin bags to fend off evil spirits. She believes it is a scam and wants the bags back, but only knows they are somewhere around Halo Peak.

Once this dialogue ends, the Charm Pouch Wandering Tale is active. You now need to locate three specific bags: the “Evil” Coin Bag, the “Omen” Coin Bag, and the “End” Coin Bag.

Coin Bag #1 location – “Evil” Coin Bag in the bear cave

The first bag is hidden underground, behind a blocked cave entrance near a waterfall and a hostile bear.

Step 1: From Aunt Guo, continue up the same stone staircase toward the mountain. You will soon reach a large pond with a fisherman nearby; this is your main landmark.

Step 2: Walk past the pond to the small wooden bridge that spans a deep chasm. Instead of crossing, drop down into the chasm, toward the lower pond area beneath the bridge. A bear patrols this lower clearing.

Step 3: Deal with the bear in whichever way fits your build. You can fight it directly or use movement skills to avoid its attacks while you reposition.

Step 4: After the area is safe enough to move around, activate Wind Sense (default key: V). Turn around and look back toward the cliffside behind you; you should see the outline of a cave entrance covered by thick brambles or vines.

Step 5: Equip and fire a Fire Arrow at the brambles to burn them away and open the cave. Step inside and look slightly to the left of the treasure chest on the stone ledge. The “Evil” Coin Bag is lying on the rock here.

Pick up the bag before leaving the cave; it is easy to loot the chest and walk out without noticing the pouch on the ground.

Coin Bag #2 location – “Omen” Coin Bag at the hilltop shrine

The second bag sits at the top of Halo Peak, locked behind a small shrine that only opens when you activate a hidden pressure plate.

Step 1: From Aunt Guo’s spot near the bamboo grove, head west and keep climbing toward the very top of the mountain.

Step 2: When you reach the tower, look around the peak. Close to the edge of the cliff, next to the tower, you will find a small shrine structure and a cluster of statues, and a large tree on a slightly raised hill.

Step 3: Stand near the shrine and activate Wind Sense. On the mountainside just behind or slightly to the left of the shrine, you should see the outline of a circular stone disc embedded in the rock. This is a hidden pressure plate.

Step 4: Use a downward slam skill such as Mighty Drop (jump, then press the slam key; default is Q for many builds) directly onto the stone disc. Landing on the plate with this move triggers the mechanism and causes the shrine’s doors to open.

Step 5: Once the shrine is open, walk inside. There is a small chest in front of you; loot it if you wish, then look carefully on the ground next to it. The “Omen” Coin Bag is placed right beside the chest.

Again, it is common to grab the chest first and forget the pouch. Make sure you see the pickup prompt for the coin bag before leaving the area.

Coin Bag #3 location – “End” Coin Bag at the monk camp

The final bag is hidden in plain sight at an enemy camp at the foot of the same mountain.

Step 1: Descend from the peak back toward the lower slopes of Halo Peak. At the base of the mountain, look for a camp occupied by hostile monks. The camp contains enemies and at least one chest, making it stand out from the surrounding terrain.

Step 2: Clear the camp if you want a straightforward pickup. Once the enemies are down, activate Wind Sense to highlight interactable items in the area.

Step 3: Move toward the side of the camp closest to the mountain face. You are looking for a fish drying rack and other small props. The third bag, the “End” Coin Bag, lies on the ground near this rack.

Step 4: Interact to pick up the bag. If enemies are still alive and giving you trouble, you can use a long-range grab skill, such as Celestial Seize, to pull the bag to you without fully engaging the camp.

Some players discover this camp earlier while exploring and may already have looted the bag without realizing it. If the bag is not visible and the Wandering Tale log still shows it as missing, sweep the area with Wind Sense and check your recent pickups; the bag may have been auto-looted during combat.

Turning in the coin bags to Aunt Guo

Step 1: After collecting the Evil, Omen, and End Coin Bags, make your way back to Aunt Guo near the bamboo grove west of the Halo Peak teleport stone.

Step 2: Talk to her and choose the option to submit all three coin bags. The dialogue wraps up the small story about her distrust of the wandering master and her concern for her family.

Step 3: Once the conversation finishes, the Charm Pouch Wandering Tale is marked as complete, and Aunt Guo leaves the area.

Charm Pouch Wandering Tale rewards

Finishing Charm Pouch grants a solid bundle of early-game resources tied to Qinghe exploration:

Reward Amount Use
Echo Jade 40 Premium currency for various in-game purchases.
Qinghe Exploration 10 points Progress toward regional exploration milestones and rewards.
Coin 5,000 General currency for merchants, crafting, and upgrades.
Character EXP 5,000 Contribution toward your next character level.

Beyond the direct rewards, Charm Pouch also advances your Wandering Tales completion for Halo Peak, which is useful if you are aiming to fully clear Qinghe’s exploration content.

Once these bags are returned and Charm Pouch is off your list, Halo Peak becomes much easier to read at a glance. The same navigation skills—following watercourses, scanning with Wind Sense, and checking vertical spaces around shrines and towers—carry over to many other Wandering Tales scattered across Qinghe and the rest of Where Winds Meet.
