The Last Pilgrim is an Encounter in Hexi that starts near Camel Station and ends in Whitecrown City. It sends you after a traveling monk in several locations around Jade Gate Pass, with one in-game day passing between each main stop.

The Last Pilgrim start location
The trigger point is just north of the Camel Station fast travel point in Jade Gate Pass. As you move through that area, the Encounter appears automatically. Walk up to the monk and speak to him to begin.
If the quest does not appear, the usual block is a full Encounter log. You can only hold three active Encounters at once.
The Last Pilgrim walkthrough
Step 1: After the first conversation, move time forward by one full in-game day. Return to the monk south of Camel Station.
Step 2: At that second location, the monk has been robbed. Use Wind Sense to track the footprints leading south.
Step 3: Recover the stolen goods in either of two ways. You can use Celestial Seize to snatch the items back, or defeat the bandits and loot the goods near the monk’s white horse.
Step 4: Take the recovered items back to the monk. Once he accepts them, that part of the Encounter is complete.
Step 1: Advance time by another full in-game day. Then head to the monk’s next position northeast of Horsehelm Village.
Step 2: Pick up three dry branches from the nearby tree. Stay near the scene until the monk finishes speaking with the brother there.
Step 3: Light the campfire and speak to the monk again. That clears the third stop in the quest chain.
Step 1: Skip forward one more full in-game day. The monk’s final outdoor location is roughly halfway between Wraithbridge Pass and the Outside Whitecrown City Boundary Stones.
Step 2: Give the monk water when prompted. Then follow him into Whitecrown City.
Step 3: If you have not defeated the Grand Protector of Anxi, go around the outer edge of the arena instead of cutting through it. That lets you reach the monk without being forced into that fight.
Step 4: Speak to the monk inside Whitecrown City. The quest ends there.

What usually stops the quest from progressing
The most common issue is not advancing a full in-game day before heading to the next location. If the monk is missing, check the time first.
Another common miss is leaving the bandit area without actually collecting the monk’s goods. Defeating the bandits alone is not enough if you do not loot the item near the white horse.
If the Encounter never triggers in the first place, clear space in your active Encounters and pass through the Camel Station area again.
The full route is short once you know the order: Camel Station, south of Camel Station, northeast of Horsehelm Village, then the road toward Whitecrown City. Finish those stops in sequence, with a full in-game day between each one, and The Last Pilgrim closes cleanly with the monk in Whitecrown City.
